Monday, 26 May Oh...I was going to say! At least the military is still moving you guys, right? So that way you won't have to worry about lifting anything. I must say that if the military didn't pay our moving expenses each time I don't think I would ever move with anything....especially to here in Hawaii. I can't even imagine the cost to move here.
I told James that I just have a feeling that the baby will wait for him. After all, he has missed out on almost the entire pregnancy. I was only a few weeks along when he deployed.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your long weekend. BabyBorders -
Friday, 23 May Thats great that he will be back soon. You are strong to go through this alone. I have a meltdown like every other day lol. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't here to talk me down from the ledge lol. :) Kandace -
Thursday, 22 May I've had a little back pain but nothing too bad yet. Last night I put an ice pack on but other than that it has been ok. I am sure it will be getting allot worse but I will hope for the best (ha ha). Hope your doing well. branmichelle1981 -
Thursday, 22 May OH, how is it there? Have ya'll traveled around like alot? We have alot of friends going over to like Japan and Germany right now. I really dont want to leave the country for 3-4 yrs...but I would love to travel to some. I would love to get stationed in Florida..lol that's my dream!!! Have you looked into the chinese calendar thing? mine said boy...and it was right. I also took one of those intelegender tests..said 90% so I thought hey why not, it wasn't like I was gonna go paint the room or anything and it all said boy..which is what I felt we were having all along! So your intuition may be right... krogers07 -
Thursday, 22 May Yea I bet everyone is so excited for you guys!! Do you have a good relationship with your MIL? britt0908 -
Thursday, 22 May It was highlights, not dye so it's a little less to worry about as far as how it would affect the baby since it doesn't actually touch your skin. The other good thing is that my hair dresser doesn't use bleach so it's not as strong. I only got it done once at the beginning of my pregnancy and it was toward the end of my 1st trimester, I didn't want to take any chances you know.
We haven't bought anything (except paint) since we found out...but everyone else has! It was just awesome to know and to be able to really plan and register for stuff! babyds mommy -
Thursday, 22 May Well, there ya go!!! So, it was meant to be for you guys to have a baby now! haha!!!
Things are very busy on my end, we are getting married in 9 days and we have so much stuff to do!!! My word! Not to mention I'm growing a little baby so that is wearing me out, but in a good way!!! I might not be online that much over the next week due to the wedding but I will be back online after the wedding:)
Keep me posted on how you're doing, ok!!
Take care,

Thursday, 22 May Oh wow! I can't believe that you have to move while he is deployed. That is absolutely ridiculous. I think that if it's time to move stations, then he has to be there too. Then again, it is the military and they really don't think things through. Is this station far from the one you are at now?
Good luck with all that.
We are hoping the baby waits for James to come home....I have a feeling that the baby will though. I told James that even if it's the day he comes home, I just want him to be there. krogers07 -
Thursday, 22 May 90% chance all will be well with him. :-) So we are praying for the best! I believe sometimes we are given challenges in life to make us stronger :-) And about the chinese calendar, I have found the only 100% accurate way to know the sex of your baby is to have it lol britt0908 -
Thursday, 22 May If I had to choose what part my hubby was here for it would definitely be the end and when the baby comes too! I dyed my hair dark brown a few months before getting pregnant (so dumb!) but I wanted to have blonde hair and look like myself when the baby gets here so I started to gradually go back blonde and it's all been during my pregnancy. My doctor said I would be fine but the smell might make me sick (it didn't) and when you get highlights the stuff doesn't really touch your skin so I wasn't worried about hurting the baby. I went through about a 2wk phase of wanting a girl then a week later I just KNEW it was going to a be a boy and come to find out it's a girl! It's so fun trying to figure it out! getting-excited -
Wednesday, 21 May She just told me to drink lots and lots of water after one cause they dont settle or what ever the techniquical term is if you drink alot of fluids. I have been doing it sence i got pregnant and my doctor just told me the same thing, drink lots of water.
You should be perfectly fine britt0908 -
Wednesday, 21 May Thanks! Congrats to you too...I hate to hear that your husband will miss most of your pregnancy--you're a stonger woman me! What are you guys hoping for? branmichelle1981 -
Wednesday, 21 May YEs and it's a BOY!!! my hubby is super excited. I am too..I knew it would be a boy, no surprise to me! :) We are in Arkansas BabyBorders -
Wednesday, 21 May Going good here as well. I have been having those same pains too. I guess everyone does. And I have been having bad headaches.
So when does your husband get back? What branch of the Military is he in? krogers07 -
Wednesday, 21 May Congrats on your first and I am glad u are starting to feel better. I have had a easy pregnancy but a small complication with our son. Its probably nothing but I have had to have ultrasounds every 4 weeks since 18 weeks. You are very right that it doesnt matter whether its a boy or girl as long as everything is ok. Oh and the chinese calendar is wrong a lot. Mine said girl and he is def not a girl lol armywifemommy -
Wednesday, 21 May That's pretty much what happened here. We had been trying for a year. He was actually supposed to be at a non-deployable station for the three years but when this station and unit found out that he was a previous Marine and his job now, they switched and took him and he deployed a month after we got to Hawaii. When we found out he was deploying we were going to wait and I just figured it wasn't meant to be then. Then I knew something was different and we found out I was pregnant. Pretty crazy!
Well things are all over the place right now. I found out I have a hernia that needs surgery but we have to wait until after the baby. So we are trying to get them to let him come home so we don't have to worry about anything and I can take it easy for the baby....BUT they are trying everything they can to keep him out there. It's just frustrating! I think if we were back in the states it would be a lot easier.
I just want to still be able to enjoy the pregnancy....so far I have been loving every second of it. Kandace -
Wednesday, 21 May I have been feeling better overall. I felt terrible yesterday because I think I over did it. I have also been having the pains in my lower abdomen from stretching. Sometimes its not really comfortable. ha ha. Well I hope you start feeling allot better soon. BabyBorders -
Wednesday, 21 May Hey! Thanks for the comment. Our due dates are really close! YAY! Its good to know theres people out there going through the same things you are :) How is your pregnancy going? getting-excited -
Tuesday, 20 May haha i am pretty much having the same things you are. My boyfriend gets really worried when i get the pressure to its so cute cause we know whats going on and they are just in the dark. The dreams are the worst though. sometimes i have them about what im going to have and then other times you wake up thinking what the hell was that! lol
I find frequent massages help with all the headaches, my lil sister is going to school for massage so its coming in kinda handy seeing as she needs to get in alot of hours as practice =] babyds mommy -
Monday, 19 May Lauren-
I know what you mean about your husband being away!! My fiance (we're getting married May 31st, we've been planning our wedding for 15 months!!)is in the Navy and will be out to sea when the baby is born... That is the one reason why we were going to wait until after he got out of the navy before we got pregnant but God had a different plan for us. My fiance gets out of the navy in May 2010; so he will be out soon, just not soon enough for us and the baby! :)
I hope your morning sickness fades away soon!!!
Take care,
Kim armywifemommy -
Monday, 19 May Hi! Yeah it's definitely not easy. This is our third deployment and this one was a real surprise, as they switched his stations at the last minute, literally, and deployed him a month after we got here. I think that's why I don't like Hawaii at all, but then again I don't know many people that do. It just gives this closed off from the rest of the world feeling.
I hope things are going well for you and with your pregnancy. Hopefully you get to talk to your hubby often....I know that always helps me to hear his voice. krogers07 -
Monday, 19 May Yes I am having a boy. I am very excited. I only have a sister so a boy will be fun. I didnt really care to much as long as everything turns out ok. And you? Kandace -
Monday, 19 May How are you doing? I am feeling pretty good over all. For the past 4 days I haven't had to take anything for nausea which is great. I have been getting my energy back but I am really tired about 7pm. How are you doing? Have a great week. branmichelle1981 -
