My profile

Number 2 is on the way! I am so scared! Things are going smoothly, thank goodness.

My precious little baby,
I have loved you from the start.
You are a tiny miracle
Laying closely to my heart.
Each day I feel your presence,
Each day you quickly grow,
Each day your heart beats softly,
As only I could know.
So, I'll keep this in a special place
And remember each year through,
Of this special time in my life
In the months I carried you.

How`s my pregnancy doing?having a baby

Of course you have to vent! I understand. Good luck.

Wow! I agree with tantan, what an unprofessional and unnecessary letter! I would have cried too, what he did was so typical for his age and completely innocent and harmless, especially since he has absolutely no history. I would just try to find a new place and for now just try to deal with these people. It will work out in the end, you sound like a great mom to me :)

I am a preschool teacher myself and they should have never wrote that to you!!! That's just crazy! I think it is wise that you find a new daycare center for him.

MelisaK - Thursday, 8 May
I cannot believe they had the nerve!!! Was that letter from the director? I would be so hurt and angry. I would look for a private daycare. Have you checked where you go to college. Our University offers private childcare for students and employees only. Good luck, I hope you find a good place to put him!!

They are both nice names. I, too, am trying to decide on a little boy name. I think the decision is more difficult than deciding a girl's name. Good luck, let me know know what you decide!

Boy - that's a tough one. Of course I can understand how frustrated you must be because you don't want to curb your boy's curiousity for life, and that includes sexual difference curiousities. On the other hand, the little girl needs to know she can be respected. Does that make sense? You should also probably bear in mind that if the daycare failed to respond strongly to this, they could wind up being liable.

thank you for the encouraging word. i need support right now, it means so much.

Ok that daycare is being a little bit ridiculous! Your son is not a pervert. I guess my daughter is a pervert too since she peeped in on a little boy using the bathroom at daycare when she was 4 and came home to tell me that he had a tail like Clifford! They need to lighten up!

I would take my son out of there but sometimes i can be extreme, but i dont care. its your child and i would tell them to never punish my son that way. God now i'm loving my daycare more and more. lol.

hi those scan pics were of when i was 12 weeks maybe thats why carnt wait to find out, ill let you no in june xx

I DO NOT think that is a big deal. There should be NO consequences. My son is almost 4 but he has been in daycare for 2 years, There was a couple of times that he did somethings that made me worried. I spoke to my sons doctor and she laughed at me saying its normal for children to be curious that is how they learn. It's so silly to me that people would even think to make a big deal., My doctor also stated that if he is always touching himself (which he loves) all day and everyday and doing those kinds of things then there COULD be a problem.

Tell your sons daycare to relax a lil.

kla2200 - Wednesday, 7 May
Yeah your daycare seems pretty uptight. When my step-daughter was 5 and in daycare they had bathrooms inside each classroom. Well one day she was caught in the bathroom with a boy who said something not-so-appropriate about what to do with private parts. Of course we were not mad at her or the little boy and the daycare was very understanding about it too.

I think you're absolutely right. I am an elementary teacher and I see this kind of thing in kindergarten once in a while. We usually give a 'strong talking to' to the student and let the parent know so that they can talk about it with their child. But that's it. What kind of consequences are they considering giving your son?

MelisaK - Wednesday, 7 May
No you are not wrong. I was a preschool teacher for years and EVERY professional knows that it is common at that age...they are curious and they don't think about the consequences of their actions. Do not let them make a big deal about this...that would do more harm than the episode itself. Stay strong and stand your ground!
