yes actually I have had those! When I first started getting them I was so confused. But somebody posted today that the doc told her they were from the baby trying to put their head further down...So I guess they are a good thing? But mine get so bad I feel like I can't even walk. Did the doc say anything about if your cervix is thinning at all? He said mine was about 50% like 10 days ago.

I have had 3 vaginal checks and still no further along then I was. The baby moved out of my pelvic cavity and the doc dosen't think I will go into labor naturally now. My pelivs is very narrow and he is concerned with a normal delivery I am now scheduled to have a c-section sometime in 2 weeks.

i didn't even have a bag packed! I went to the doc from work, and then straight to the hospital. The next day my husband ran home (we're only 5 mins from the hospital) and got some things i needed. for sure you'll want a comfy nightgown--the hospitals suck b/c your butt hangs out lol. and comfy socks--and your own shampoo. i had to use baby shampoo b/c that's all they had and it made my hair greasy.

Playing tag here.LOL My birthday was quiet, as I expected. Ed( my good friend ) took me and my nephew and niece out to dinner and bought me a cake. He and his partner gave me a basket with more baby goodies in it for my birthday. It was what I said would be better. Better to get everything for Rowen then worry about me. My shower was great. Got tons of diapers, two handmade blankets/quilts, baby wash cloths, receiving blankets and more clothes. Between the hand me downs and new clothes I could honestly put her in a new outfit every day for at least a month and not do laundry! People just love buying baby clothes, they are so cute! Her room looks great. I never did get anything on the walls, but I hardly miss it. With all the accessories and her crib set on and her mobile and toys sitting around it looks like a real nursery. It is better than I ever could have imagined.
Ok, I have news about my "due" date. I went for a measuring ultrasound on 10/17 and at that time they said she was around 9lbs, 7oz. Since the "average" baby gains around 1/2 lb each week at this stage she could weigh as much as 11lbs or more by the 10th. So my doctor changed his mind about her type of delivery. His words were " could you have her vaginally - maybe. WOuld I recommend it if you were my relative-no." He said her size puts it at a big risk she wouldn't be able to come out without a C-section. In addition, he would rather take her a little earlier due to size too. So at 2pm Monday the 3rd she will be making her grand entrance. ( unless she gets some crazy ideas before then) I have had three non-stress tests now and have to have another Thursday. In addition I see the doctor again Thursday. ( just saw him today) Good news is he quit checking my cervix since we decided on the C-section! LOL. He did tell me that, as long as I heal well, he has no problems releasing me to go back to work in six weeks rather than nine. That was my number one concern about the c-section really. At his old practice ( which he was a partner) 9 wks after c-section was standard policy. But since he started his own practice he can do as he wishes. To tell you the honest truth I am kind of relieved. The longer I carry her, the bigger I get the more worn out I feel. I was really starting to doubt how much was in me to struggle through labor. And I have been so achey and in so much pain for months now ( with the SPD and now my back and hips from bedrest) I just hated the idea of the pain of the vaginal delivery. Plus I was freaked about having an episiotomy. And with her big size I am sure it would happen. So in some ways the c-section is a more comforting idea. I guess it seems like it is more controlled.
ANyway, that's the scoop. I am not logging on much now either. I am on STRICT bedrest again until next week. Only supposed to be up to go to the doctors. I thought I would do a little catch up while I was downstairs. But I will check again before I go Monday for her birth. Hope to hear all is well and that little Carson will be coming sooner ( rather than later) for you...Take it easy and take care of yourself!

Hahaha...oh boys...you can always leave it up to them to say things like that! lol My man said that he can kinda tell that I'm pregnant from the back...(but not in a bad way whatever thats supposed to mean) haha I nearly smacked him! Anyway, I'm at work so I should go but let me know how the Dr appointment went!

my friend got us the bear outfit at babies r us for a shower gift. it looked so small hanging up (newborn size) but he swims in it! he has been a very good baby. he's been home for a week now...not gonna lie though--having a baby is more work than i ever imagined. i didn't realize how often they need changed and fed. our first night home i wanted to pull my hair out--i was very sleep deprived from being in the hospital 3 days and he would not sleep the first night home. i just sat there and cried with him. we've only had 1 bad night since then though...he usually sleeps 2 to 2 1/2 hours nightly between feedings and that gives me time to catch up. good luck! keep me posted on your progress!!!

Oh yeah I've thought I was having a boy from day one! At our last check up the heartbeat was 140 (boy) and although I dont have that much to show...my baby bump is pretty low. But....I guess we'll just have to wait til Wednesday morning! Thats funny that you say that about your driving. Collin was getting mad at me today because I was driving like a grandma! Its weird, but I just dont want to take any chances. I was thinking about carving pumpkins, but we have so much to do with our house. I'm not going to decorate until Christmas. Just wanted to let everyone know...still no baby. I lost my plug with blood on Friday - have had horrible cramping, contractions, back pain and nausea (not to mention a horrible case of acid reflux) since. So I called the doc today bc I was in pain and wasn't sure what to do or think and he said that he wants me to be checked out immediately tomorrow morning - I could possibly be on my way. So we'll see. I'm not giving my hopes up just yet.

I went to the docs last week, hoping to hear that I had dilated at least another cm, only to hear that it was .5cm more...ugh! So I dont want to go in tomorrow and here that I haven't progressed at all and these pains are for NOTHING!!!

I go thursday & their suppose to call me I think tomorrow w/an appt. w/the specialist for the u/s. I think they just want to check the fluid since it was a little low the last time. Hey.....I'm doing ok. I'm really sick. So I'm trying to get rid of this cold before she gets here... I don't want to be in labor and hocking up a lung at the same time lol....the doc says I am still 1.5 dilated, but he doesn't think I will make it to my due date. So I guess thats good news. :) What about you?

LOL!! Too funny. You know your right about the cervix being "favorable"...that is the reason they induce women, when its not doing it itself...ughhh I had like 5million calls this morning (friends & family) wanting to know if we had a date, I snapped & told them NO, we weren't having her until 42 wks and to get off my back, LOL! John thankfully took the rest of the phone calls! I'm just not gonna get my hopes up anymore & just go with the flow...it just sucks cause you don't tell a pregnant girl your gonna induce & then tell her no. Ahhhhhh anywho. I'll talk to you soon, monday is your appt. I am prayin for ya girl, I wish one of us would be just put out our misery, lol!

omg so i was walking in trader joe's today and some random lady came up to me and was all "I just HAD to tell you, you look sooo cute, your like all belly, and you are definitely making that sweatshirt fit!" i just laughed and was like "oh i know! he is getting sooo big!"
but she then said "oh you just look so cute"
totally made my day! but also made me realize i think i might actually miss my baby bump once he is out

Yeah I will probably be the same way. my pregnancy is going so great so far with no sicknesses no nothing which means I'll probably have a horrible last month! I can't wait to see baby Carson! I bet he'll be absolutely adorable! I am working right now...I'm probably going to work right up til the end! Moving is exciting! With all the painting thats going on though, I haven't been able to stay there. And thats been hard! I'm the same way as you...I'm a neat freak! And it bothers me, because everytime I come over to visit, the place is a freakin pig sty! (Collin and his friend are staying there while they're painting) But I can't yell at them either becasue they are helping me out tremendously! It will be done soon enough though! :) OH...Guess what!!! I felt my baby kick for the first time last night!! it was amazing! I can't wait til I feel it more often. Four more days til I find out the sex! It seems like its taken forever but at the same time...it feels likes its flown by (if that makes any sense at all lol) Well i gotta go...hope you have a good weekend!

So no baby yet.. but super hard contractions right now.. but too early to go to the dr.. this kinda doesnt makes sense since i havent even really lost my plug and what not... but we shall see what happens through the night!!
but as for now i am laying on my couch at home with my big puffy flintstone feet up on 3 pillows because they are sooo swollen!

I'm so sorry to hear about your tooth, I know right now is not the time to be having that extra added pain!

OHMYGOD! Let me tell you 1st she did NOT set an induction date, checked me I am only 1 1/2 dilated! And she said my cervix is unfavorable to induce right now (she said she'd like to wait a week or 2!!!) 2nd they kept me on the NST for 1 and a 1/2 (typically 20 min. tops on it) Avery's heart beat kept going up to 175 & 183 range & would stay that way. 3rd I was having contractions every 5 to 7 minutes. 4th I had the worse migraine I'd ever had & was seeing spots. So with all that going on she sent me to L&D to be extra monitored, gave me medicine for my headache, my contractions became 3-5 min apart & was going up to 75 which they typically stay in the 40's, the contractions were all in my back & I could hardly breathe, so the doctor on call decides b/c I hadn't had my group strep b test done she'd like to check me again &&&& put this HUGE TONG looking thing in me & then checked me, which I was the same. I swear I think my vagina is going to fall off! She said I could absolutley be going into early labor...but to go home rest & call if anything! I've never felt these type of contractions, however it could be b/c I was checked twice & had tongs up me in the last 6 hours. UGH, anywho I have to go sometime this week for ANOTHER u/s to check her fluid (they think it may be lower) & appt on thursday, which I'm sure nothing will come of it and probaley be told my vagina is not favorable to be induced...YEAH! Sorry so long girl! Have a WONDERFUL weekend & I will pray our little babe's come soon :DDD

Hi ladies!! So I'm getting really excited!! This morning I lost part of my mucous plug, it was brown tinged and the size of a quarter. I've been crampy all day today with contractions on and off (feeling sort of menstrual like) and then just about an hour ago, I lost another huge glob (lol sorry tmi) and it was blood tinged. I'm getting anxious -- what do you think is happening?????

Tiny, haha, no way! I feel like if they weren't going to induce me I would go over as well. My sister texted me last night asking if I was nervous, I told her no b/c I'll probaley be pregnant FOREVER! (so it feels like it) I've been checked once @ 33 wks b/c of all the contractions I was having, which I had no dialation & cervix was very soft she said (whatever that means). I hope I have dialated w/all the dang contractions I've been having. My bf is going with me today b/c he said he is going to get a straight answer about our induction date, lol. I feel like the toxemia has gotten worse, excruciating headaches, random swelling when I haven't done a thing, & my heart pounds ALL the time! Anywho I'll let ya know what they say, good luck @ the dentist, I don't like them very much either!

Well Ladies... i have been having contractions and everything all day today and couldnt sleep at all last night, and have been having the runs.. but im hoping that doesnt mean baby is coming now.. since im about to drive 3 hours to the airport to pick up my aunt.. but if anything happens at least my aunt is a mid wife....

talk to you all tomorrow if baby hasnt come!
