~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

OHHHHH.... Sorry to hear that you aren't sleeping at night. Zayden has been waking up SCREAMING for only a second.. 2-3 times a night. I'm thinking he is teething but he isn't drooling so I don't know.

Our date went great! We were going to go to a movie but ended up at a comedy club... you know.. where ADULTS are!

My friend said she didn't want the Pack-N-Play cause she was gonna "rock" Zayden to sleep and hold him. I burst out laughing as he doesn't even sit still for 20 seconds.. let alone be rocked. WELL, when I picked him up, he was STILL awake at 11:00.. he hadn't cried at all for her AND she was rocking him and holding him. UGH! Why doesn't he let me do that?

Today is my daughter's birthday so I need to get some stuff done before she gets home from school! My baby is 12....

Thanks for the feeding response... sounds to me like the boys are on the same feeding schedule and progress. I pretty much chop up everything we eat now and let Zayden "explore". Some things he chokes on... and other's he doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Maybe he doesn't like the foods he is choking on so it is a gagging reaction? I'm still trying to figure that out.

Although Zayden is self-feeding, I still give him Stage 2 vegi's and fruits so he gets his nutrients in his lil' body. If I let him solely feed himself he would NEVER gain weight. This biting the spoon this is getting annoying though.

I even try to put the spoon in really fast and try to take it out fast and he ALWAYS manages to get a good grip on it with his teeth. I went out and bough metal spoons last weekend thinking that he wouldn't like to bite on the metal but nope... he still did. Little stinker!

Forgot to ask you if Gage is using a sippy cup? Zayden is now 11 months corrected but has NO interest in drinking out of one. I have tried 4 different ones and he refuses to drink out of it. Again, he just bites on the lip and nipple on the cups!

It's just hard with these lil' preemie's knowing what is a challenge for them and knowing if he is pulling my chain being stubborn!!!! Hmmmmm......

My hubby is coming home today and my best friends is watching Zayden tomorrow night. My daughter has a lock-out at Church so she won't be home either so I am GOING OUT on a big girl date! YEA!

What is Gage eating now? Just curious. Zayden is eating table food but he just picks at it. He has recently started BITING the spoon really hard everytime I feed him. Does Gage do this? Just wondering if you are feeding him or if he is self-feeding himself.

How ironic... I posted a long post to YOU last night and it vanished too! lol! Hmmmm..... Where oh... where did they go?

Congratulations on Gage crawling! I wanna come to his birthday party!!!! Heh, you need to leave me a PM with your address & phone number. When you had surgery I was going crazy not being able to reach ya.

Speaking of babies... mine started school yesterday and it really hit me when I was dropping her off. My baby is NO longer in grade school.

I can't believe how fast kids grow. She was so excited when she got home last night... such a lady! I'm proud of her!!

I made $168.00 this past weekend so that is over $500.00. YIPPEE! I donated everything that wasn't name brand and kept the rest. I was going to put it on a lot on Ebay but nothing is selling on there these days. I did some research and found TWO more consignment sales in the area in the next two months. LOL! I have decided to put my stuff in the next sale September 4th. I'm sure my hubby just wants me to drop the junk off at the DAV.

Things have been busy since my hubby has been gone but we are doing great! He will be home Thursday afternoon. I don't mind the short trips.

Lets see.... back to the lil' kids: Gage has ALOT of teeth girl. WOW! Zayden still only has 4 but he is being a naughty boy lately and biting people.

I'm gonna have my work cut out for me if he's already mis-behaving at 14 months, huh?

He is a pro at pulling up on everything now but no new progess on walking. ((Just taking baby steps... trippin' on his feet... along the furniture.)) He has a long way to go before he is walking... as he is lacking coordinating. When he takes a step, he crosses his little feet.

Sorry Gage is not sayin mama. Want me to have a talk with that boy?? Better yet, I'll let Zayden talk to him.

In the morning when he wakes up he YELLS "MAMA"... and it doesn't sound nice either. HA! It is more of a demanding MAMA! ((Come get me now!!)) AND... really something really funny.. when I put him in bed at night, I tell him, "Night, Night" and give him a kiss. Now is tells me, "No, Ni Ni". It is hilarious!!

Ok, I gotta work now.

She trunes a year old Sept 17th so like 3 days after Gage :) we are planing a 1st princess party lol i got most of the things I wanted I have to make her inventaions cause i was to cheap to buy 12 cards for 8 bucks lol. i can make them for less then that lol. Yes we have alot to be thankful for this year. Brinaa is just growing to fast for me it dont feel like a year already. man I'm glad I got lots of pic of her :) cause it seems everytime I trun my head she is learning something new. well speaking of the little devil lol she awake from her nap so I will talk to you later girl. have a great day!

Morning Miss Laura! I had to get up at 4 to take my hubby to the airport and I am DEAD tired. He will only be gone for 3 nights this trip but I'm gonna enjoy NOT cooking! LOL!

Hey!! Thanks, and I agree about the pics. Why else did we spend so much money on a good camera when we knew we were pregnant? I am feeling good. I still have the stinging feeling sometimes when I think I have overdone it, but I am trying to be so careful. I feel like I am so much smaller than before the surgery!! I have noticed a boost in my energy the past week or so too. I am back at school now getting my room ready for the year to start. How are you and Gage?

I don't blame your brother about worrying that he would hurt someone if he drove. It has got to be scary not being in control. I know how your parent's felt / feel too. It is very hard for me not to shelter Zayden to much also.

It also makes it hard for me to leave him with anyone because I don't know when he is going to have one. I don't want to scare anyone else if you know what I mean.

Dishes still aren't done..

Ok, I am going right now. I have 7 kids coming today and Zayden's PT will be here at 1 PM. I better get off my booty and accomplish something constructive before everyone comes!

Oh... my hubby will only be out of town for a week this time but he has to go back to China again sometime soon.
