~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

and... No, I never knew your brother had seizures. I am glad that he also hasn't had any. For a few weeks, Zayden was having a couple a day and they seemed to be getting worse. One day he was playing on the floor and he started shaking his head and then he just fell forward with no control. It SUCKS watching him go through it. Excuse my language...

I am so very glad that he hasn't had anymore lately. Hopefully we have had our last one too! His neurologist wants to put him on phenobarbital again but he had him SO drugged up in NICU that it was ridiculous. I hate seeing my baby like that. We have a few options and one of them is to take him to Kansas City to see a specialist at Children's Hospital. I have heard that they are really good there. I know I won't be going back to the doctor here.... In my opinion.. there is NO excuse to wait so long for test results either.... they have really hacked me off this month. Can you tell?

Do they know what was causing your brother's seizures? We still don't know what is causing Zayden's.... that is the part that stinks.

I sold $523.00 but after I paid my consignment fees... my share was $377.00. I was happy with that though. There is another one this weekend so I am taking the remainder of my stuff there. I'll let you know how I did after that sale too!

Kinda fun to make money AND get rid of junk!

This sounds terrible but I have to do do my "dinner dishes" from last night now! HA! I was sooooo exhausted last night. I made dinner... attended to kids... gave Zayden a bath and we all went to bed early! It has been so hot here lately that it is sucking all the life out of me.

My hubby is going out of town again on Monday too and school starts on Tuesday. Looks like I'll be juggling my schedule again next week too. I just "thought" I was going to relax! hehe..

Gage is doing great....I wish Ryan would give me eskimo kisses...he opens his mouth when he kisses me and I get droll all over me...but I don't care!!! I love it!!

The Luau party theme sounds cool, Im sure everyone will have a great time.

Are you planning on having anymore kiddos? Im waiting another year and we are going to start trying again!! I love being a Mommy! It brings me so much joy! Take care and give my love to Gage.

HEY Miss Laura!

WHEW! Have I told you this week that I am tired yet? LO!L Oh... it's only MONDAY isn't it! I am sooooooooooooooooooooo ready for school to start. hehe... These older kiddos are driving me banana's!

How's Mr. Gage doing? Guess what? Zayden is pulling himself up on on the furniture now AND eating table food without choking! How cool is that... I'm so excited!!

Ok, just stopped in to say hello. I have to go drink some water or I'm gonna have a heat stroke. It is HOT!!!!!!!!!!

Hey a luau theme sounds lots of fun! Lets see we started to switch Wyatt from formula to milk when he was about 10mths. my ped. gave me the okay to do every other bottle and by 12mths. he was on nothing but milk. Wyatt has a lot of teeth for his age 13 and 4 of which are molars so he has been eating everything we eat for awhile. I don't give him steak I think its still a little to rough for him, but my ped. gave me the okay to feed him pretty much anything (cut up obviously!) Although, he prefers chicken I swear one of these days he's gonna turn into a chicken! He also loves fruit fresh blueberries, strawberry's, banana's, peachs are usually what I give him for a snack. I think it all depends on how many teeth they have as to what they are gonna be able to handle eating. He ate pizza at his birthday party, but we went to a few parties for kids turning 1 and they weren't able to eat hardly any solids so I am assuming its all about the teeth! Good Luck!

Hey thanks for the comments on my son. Your little guy is adorable as well! Wyatt had a backyardigans themed birthday party he loves that show! We didn't do a lot of games this year he was more into chasing the helium balloons around and we only have one other little kid in our family who is 3. Enjoy his birthday they are so much fun! Its hard to beleive a whole year has passed isn't it?

Hey!

Sorry I have taken forever to get back to you. It has been crazy busy at work and life in general. The kids keep me so busy that every waking moment is spent with them which is just perfect

!!

Goodness, sounds like Gage and Addaline are about the same. She is just so busy and all over the place. I have to go tonight and get some outlet plug covers now that she is on the move because that just makes me nervous. Also this weekend we have to go and buy baby gates for both sets of stairs, UGH! Those things are not cheap either. Addaline is just now getting her 2 top teeth and has done really well.

Macie is back to her normal self from the surgery and everything is A O-K! Today was the first day that she can eat anything "crunchy" so all she wants is some chips and we have like zero food, I am going to the store tonight, whoops! I'm a bad mom, lol! She can also swim again (had to wait 2 weeks as well) and it has been raining here for 3 days go figure, poor kid, she can't catch a break.

OMG, that is insane about the restaurant. I'm so sorry to hear that but SO glad everything is back to normal and you guys are open for business. Hopefully that didn't hurt you guys TOO much, I can only imagine.

Gerrad has actually been talking about letting me stay home but says it won't be for 6 months to a year so we can get ahead on everything and save up some money incase of emergency. I don't know how realistic that is for us right now but I guess time will tell. I would LOVE to stay home with the girls but I just don't want to put a strain on the finances. Oh what to do, what to do?!

I'm VERY glad you are feeling much better and have thought about you guys lots. Glad the ultrasounds came back good. I don't blame you for not thinking of future children yet, our little one's are just 10 months old and PLENTY to handle so I don't blame you one bit! I can't imagine having kiddos that close in age. More power to the women that can handle it, I however am not one of those women

What are you doing for Gage's 1st birthday? I can send my daughter to plan it for ya.

She did a great job with Zayden's.

As far as Zayden's neurologist... I don't have a choice right now. There is only 2 around here and he is the better of the two. UGH! Our next option is to drive 4 hours for a new doctor.... I didn't want to do that until I got the results though. I'm not sure it will even be necessary. He's only had 1 seizure in two weeks and I am not wanting to put him back on meds again.

Did I tell you that Zayden was trying to pull himself up on the couch now? He is a fast little monkey too! LOL! He is progressing VERY good now. His pediatrician increased his formula to 30 cal and boy oh boy... he is gaining.

I'm excited but sad that my litle baby isn't a baby anymore.

I think I officially have a toddler!

Zayden is yelling "mama" and pulling on my computer cord so I better go tickle him.

Oh... I'm sorry! I miss you too! I have just been VERY... VERY busy. One part of me is ready for school to start and the other part will miss my daughter when she's gone. She has been SOOOO much help. I have been busy marking clothes for that consignment sale that I told you about. I went through both of my kids closets and boy.. oh boy.. that was a MESS. How embarrassing huh? Well, I drop the items off tonight and I managed to come up with $1,100.00 worth of marked toys/clothes. It would be nice if they all sold! It should be interesting. I get 70 percent of the sales, minus a $10.00 consignment fee. Wish me luck! There is another consignment sale next week so if I do good this weekend... I'll take the stuff that doesn't sale to the other sale next weekend. ;)

Ok, I'm rambling!

This week I have had school enrollment, dentist appointments, eye appointments, swimming lessons AND I have been working AND getting ready for the sale. WHEW!

How have you been?

I'll be back in order for sure after the 12th of August... Until then.... CRAZINESS!

OH... I STILL haven't heard from that stupid doctor about Zayden's EEG. I KNEW there was a reason why I couldn't stand that doctor when Zayden was in NICU! Can you say UNPROFESSIONAL? I'm a little ticked at him... can ya tell?

About starting stage 3 foods. When I took my daughter for her 9 mo app. The doctor told me that stage 3 foods taste awful ( and are pricey)and I should start her on foods that we eat. She has had grilled cheese, mac and cheese(w/out the butter), rice, noodles, bread, crackers, cheese, yogurt, bananas, and turkey. I am going to hold off on red meat for a while and just stick w/ turkey and chicken. She does really well eating these things. I just break them into small pieces and put them in her mouth, She only has one tooth that is partially through. I was nervous at first giving her "people food" but she gums it all really well. Hope this helps. :o)

Hey, Laura! I met with my doctor's perioperative nurse today. I got my staples out, and heard the incision is healing well. I heard the report on the fibroids I had removed. The big one that I have a picture of posted in my blog was over NINE POUNDS!!!! The other three were not weighed, but each was about a third of the size of the biggie. The nurse who went over the report with me estimates I lost about 15 pounds total from having surgery. She said it will not show up on the scale til all the swelling is gone. But holy crap.

Hey Laura!

I am feeling ok. I am still sore, of course, especially if I stand for any length of time. The staples in my incision are driving me insane but they will come out Thursday morning. Also, it is weird to be alone during the day. Michael has been going to my mom's while Bobby is at work because I can't take care of him by myself yet.

Bobby and I noticed a huge difference in how it feels just to hug! I did not realize how much that sucker was in the way. Now that I feel thinner I am pumped to start dieting again. I am going to start tomorrow as that gave me a whole week since the surgery. I can't wait to see how I can do by my 4 week check up. I would also like to buy new work clothes before the school year starts so hopefully I will be able to buy a smaller size.

I don't know if I told you but before pregnancy I saw a Dr. who would not remove my fibroids til I got below a certain weight. I really thought I would never get rid of them. It never occured to me to look for another doctor. I sort of thought I would just have to live with it b/c I was heavy. Thank God my surgeon was the doctor on call when I had my emergency c-section and he came to me about removing them. Despite the recovery from surgery, I already feel so much better. I wish I would have had it done a long time ago!
