~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

Is it crazy to have baby fever when you still have a baby? hehe.. My hubby keeps saying "NO" though so I guess I am really done. That alone makes me sad thinking about it.

YES, I definately want to see your vacation pictures. What a silly question!

Yep, Zayden's birthday party is this weekend... Sunday! I'm soooo excited! My daughter decided not to do the slide show because we don't have access to a projector that day. I'm still going to do the slide show though. I think it will be nice to put it in his baby book. Since he was in NICU for so long it makes it really interesting actually how much he changed from month to month.

OMG... Zayden is doing like a 360 in less than 10 seconds on the floor today.

He's getting up on all 4's and I swear he's gonna take off anyday! Then I'm in REAL trouble. He eats like a little pig but never sits still. Must be a boy thing. My daughter was NOT this active when she was his age.

I'll email ya pics of his party next week if you want. I probably won't put them on here because they are gonna have other people's kidds in them. I'll post the messy cake face one tho'..

Hope the weather stays nice for you! It's looks like we're gonna try and dodge severe thunderstoms today.

Just checked out your family vaca pics. So precious!!! The picture with the hat on Gage is just too cute!!!! Also...he is so blonde! I bet my girl's hair will change also. She was born with really light brownish/reddish hair...but seeing how much your lil boy changed...i bet my lil girl will also!

Heh Miss Laura.... about the food issue... I know, I'm a lil' late!

Well, Zayden's pediatrician said that the scarring will continue to repair itself as Zayden gets older. We're just supposed to "keep trying" food with him periodically. Zayden is actually eating Stage 2 foods... including all fruits and vegi's... (except peas). The peas appear to be alot thicker and he chokes on them. He also eats "some" table food such as applesauce and mashed potatoes.

What is Gabe eating?

I also tried those dissolve things and Zayden choked on them. I'm thining they don't dissolve as easy as the package says... hehe... I never thought about eating one myself.

I'm exhausted... heading to bed! Sorry for the delay in responding to ya! I know you'll forgive me!

Hey you!

Sorry it took me ALL day to get back to you, slammed as usual!

That's hilarious about Gage doing the fake coughing, my niece was sick and coughing on vacation so Addaline would fake it right back to her after she would finish coughing, it was SO funny! They sure pick things up really fast don't they?!

DO NOT buy a cheap car seat, you will totally regret it, I promise you. I took Addaline out of her carrier at 4 1/2 months, I really think your supposed to by the time they are 6 months so I can imagine Gage is pretty cramped. I have a Britax Marathon, VERY expensive but SO worth the money. Hope I didn't sound bitchy in that statement... I am all about the safety and reviews I bought the best for both of her seats. Our carrier was a Chicco, I bought the travel system from Babies'R'Us and still use the stroller; it was super pricey as well but SO worth the money. Britax got the best ratings out of any convertible car seat on the market and he can be in it until he is 60 pounds so you won't ever have to buy another one. With Macie we went with a cheaper choice because I was young and didn't really know any better and wish I would of researched it a little better. We ended up going through like 3-4 car seats until now, she is in a booster seat now. I could of just sprang for a more expensive better one and spend the same money I spent on all of them we bought put together.

Yeah hopefully you will able to go to Gage's appointment, I would hate to miss that as well. Is your mom and Dean going to be able to help you quite a bit while your recovering? I hope so!!

cute pictures! we took brianna to the beach too here at cunningham falls but its sand lol. my oldest broke her arm at school this past thrusday ugh what a day that was.. brianna has her surgery comming up next friday.. im getting nerious about it all. well glade you guys had fun take cares!

Well I hate to hear that the shot didn't work but they'll find another route of treatment and I'm sure the surgery will be a success and you'll come out of it just fine. I know you're strong because of what you went through when Gage was born. You can handle it! When's the surgery scheduled? I want to make a mental note of it. Jack still doesn't have any teeth. Drooling enough to fill a swimming pool but no teeth yet. He was at 16 1/2 lbs and 27 inches long when we went to the doc on 5/22 for 5 months shots. Sitting up is the best and I'm so happy with that. I am dreading when he's crawling but when they get mobile they also get more animated, more personality and more fun! Ok so keep me informed. We're all good here. Just so busy w/ summer activities.

Travis did so well!!! He really liked the guy that drew his blood and I think that really helped. He was so brave and only cried while the needle was in his arm and as soon as they took it out and I could hold him facing me he calmed right down and even smiled at the guy when he gave him a sticker. I was so proud of him! I kept kissing his head the whole time before and after, definitely more for my anxiety than his. The toe prick hopefully won't be so bad for Gage, I think it's probably less painful than a shot. I had to prick my thumb when I was pregnant and for me it was a lot less painful than getting a shot. The anticipation is always the worst part I think. Hope you're having a great week!

Awww... everyone looks like they are having so much fun! Look at those long baby legs hanging down, getting so big! He DOES look like a big boy, his face has changed so much since your last pictures!

Things are going good... nothing too exciting is going on around here! Just baby stuff... Sophie pulls herself to her feet like a champ, crawls all over the place, says Dada (of course) eats like a horse, gives kisses and hugs... my poor Mom can't stay away, she's coming back to town in a couple of weeks. She can't stand to be away for more than 5 - 6 weeks at a time.

It's been cold and rainy most days around here. I have a super cute swim suit for Sophie but the freakin' sun won't come out!!

Glad you're back and had a great time!

Hey!!

I'm such a slacker on here with getting my pictures put up, my husband uploaded them all to our computer but I NEVER get on the computer at home, just at work so I'll work on that.

That is SO cute that Gage said Da-Da, Addaline said Ma-Ma first but now says Da-Da ALL the time, UGH! Isn't it funny how you'd much rather them be saying your name?! :o)

We had a GREAT time, I did NOT want to come home. Macie had such a blast and rode EVERYTHING that she was tall enough for which was pretty much everything, she only missed out on like 4 big rides because she was about 2-4 inches too short poor girl. I was so proud of her for being such a little dare devil, totally out of character for her!!

I didn't get very tan while we were gone, I was caking on the sunblock so I didn't get burned, I got a little color but nothing I was too impressed with.

How'd your appointment go yesterday? When is your surgery? I've been thinking about ya and praying for you!!

I did get the make-up when I got home, I LOVE it! I was a little bummed the mineral foundation was pretty darn small but I'll get over it, I'm not sure what I expected for so cheap?!

Aww...Gage is growing so fast!!! What a cutie pie! How was the weather? Did you ever try the sippy cup with Gage? I cant wait to take Ryan to the beach....did Gage just love the water and waves or what!!! I'm glad you finally got some one on one time with baby Gage, it's so wonderful to wake up and fall asleep with our little ones, everyday is different and exciting for them. Take care

Laura! Gage has filled out! His face and cheeks have gotten fuller. He's SOOOO CUTE!!!!!!! I think that beach sun must've done him some good.hehe! He's always been a cutie pie, but his look has changed! The blue eyes are something. Girl, he doesn't look like a baby anymore. He's beginning to look like a little boy now. AWWW, that's so sad cause they grow up so fast! It looks like you had a great time at the beach. Was it warm? So how are you feeling? Doing ok? Ok, I can't stand it ~ Gage is just painfully cute! haha!

Oh my gosh, I didn't think it was possible but he has gotten even cuter!!! It looks like his cheeks are a little chubbier too which is just adorable!!! Where did you get those hats and swim trunks from? They are too cute!!! Did Gage get a haircut? The one picture on the beach looks like maybe he did. Travis doesn't have a ton of hair but he has some longer than the rest and some that go over his ears and my husband wants me to cut them. I'm afraid to cut them as the last thing I want to do is hold scissors close to his head. Oh, Travis had his 9 month check up yesterday. He's 17lbs 4oz (below 10th%), and 29in (75th%). The pediatrician said she was ok with his weight but that I should feed him as much as possible. He honestly eats a ton and has lots of dirty and wet diapers so I think he must just have a good metabolism like my husband. We have to go and get bloodwork done as soon as he wakes up from his nap :-(. It's routine for 9 months I guess, checking for lead levels and iron I believe. We have to go to a lab so we'll be waiting forever just to get in and then I'll have to hold him down while they take blood, yuck, makes me sick just thinking about it. I know that the longer I put it off the more I'm going to dread it and sit around thinking about it.

Heh! WELCOME HOME!!!!! Congratulations on Gage saying Da-da. I KNOW how you feel though about being disappointed! Little stinkers! We do 99% of all the work and they say Da-da first! Go Figure! :)) Well, Zayden is now saying MOM. HA! Not mama but MOM! And.... usually when he says it, he is mad or frustrated. hehe... KIDS!!!

Let's see... new news here.... OH.. Zayden got another tooth so he has "2" now! My daughter leaves for camp today for 4 nights so I'm gonna miss her bunches and... Zayden's FIRST birthday party is this weekend so I have to help my daughter finish up the details since she won't be here!

Oh... oh... oh... I started running 1 mile on my elliptical everyday! (Pray I stick with this one..... hehe)

Hey, I forgot to let you know, I did find some great hats at Target. I just uploaded new pics of Travis wearing them and then remembered that I needed to thank you. So, Thank You! Hi Laura! How are you doing with your Lupron? I hope you are feeling ok. Michael is doing well at home. He has his little fussy periods, but otherwise is ok. I am at a bit of a loss for what to expect from him though. I am still worried about over stimulating him like they warned us about in the NICU. I haven't put him in the swing or bouncy chair yet because of that. Do you remember these feelings about Gage?

CONGRATULATIONS! GOOOOOOO GAGE! That "IS" exciting! It's so funny that you said that you cried because I did today too! HA! I left that out earlier so you wouldn't think I was a goof but since you admitted it..... so will I! :))

I'm sure sure what I cried though... happy? sad? excited? proud?

I think when they are preemie's you appreciate these milestones more. I don't remember feeling like this with my daughter.

Oh... Did I tell you my hubby's flight was delayed in Hong Kong? They had to put new tires on the plane! LOL! Anyway, because of this he missed his next two connecting flights. UGH!

He's sitting in stand by due to flights being full! Looks like I won't see him tonight afterall... :(
