~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

Gotta tell ya something really funny! A few minutes ago when I was typing... Zayden was sitting in my lap. Your slideshow started playing and Zayden saw Gage's pictures. Zayden suddenly got the biggest smile on his face and yelled.., "HI" ! It was hilarious!

This year flew by!!! I can't believe my baby is almost 1 year old!! His features are changing and like you said he looks like a toddler now!! He is soo funny!! He does this clicking thing with his tongue and says mama and dada and baba, shakes his head no and of course is full blown walking with shoes!! I started him in a mothers day out a couple of weeks ago and his teacher said that he is doing great!! They email me pictures of him on the playground or chapel just to ease my mind!!! I was a mess the first week, I was so sad and couldn't wait to pick him up!! It's starting to get alittle easier on me but I still cant wait to see him!! he is my pride and joy! I hope you have a great weekend and a fun birthday party(I wish I was there)!!! Can't wait to hear how much Gage has grown!!

wow 60 people thats alot! I think we got ole about 15 10 of it kids LOL.. thats awesome girl sure he will get lots of good things

yea been so sick and it sucks lol.. one day I'm ok and the next im a couch potatoes cause I can't get up to do anything lol.. I have to force myself like this morning lol. I just decided on what cake im getting her it will be some sort of princess since that her theme. man I still can't belive our babys are truning 1 I could cry lol I know what you mean about running around. I have alot to do on saturday that is going to be my day of running for everything since her dad is off work this weekend. well I hope the party truns out well and tell Gage I said happy 1st Birthday!!

Yeah the guilt is overwhelming sometimes but I always just remind myself that I'm doing the best I can and he wouldn't expect anything more :-). Good luck with the party! Let me know how it goes and how his 1yr appt goes!

hey girl hows it going? man have I been sick with this one lol... I'm trying to get ready for Brianna's frist birthday party were having it this sunday! can you believe it she will be a year old in 7 days! where has the time gone?? were having a princess party! I'm so excited my little one has grown so much and so fast! she is walking everywhere getting into everything lol she loves her ride on toy, and gumball toy lol.. she also cutting her 3rd tooth which on the top! wow she been cranky and poor runny nose I hope she feels better by sunday. lolcause she has a big day ahead of her. how are you and Gage doing? ready for his big party?

he is getting so cute girl! well I better get my butt off here and get some things done lol I have been very lazy since bening sick lol...ttyl bye

Hmmm at Travis' 1yr appointment it was pretty much the same as all of the rest of the checkups. They asked if he was walking, saying words, waving, can't remember what else. He also got three shots, two vaccines and a flu shot. I'm a little uneasy about the flu shot but I decided to go with it this year and see how it goes. I'm still breastfeeding so I probably should've just said no but then there's always this voice in my head that says "what if" he gets really sick and I could've prevented it.... I guess that's the fun of being a Mom! The vaccines were prevnar which this was his fourth and final of that one and varivax which is the chicken pox vaccine. No blood work or any other tests. Oh and Travis finally gained weight! He is now in the 20th percentile for weight at 20lbs 10oz and still 90th for height at 31 inches.

OMG where has the time gone!!!! Gage is going to be a year old on Sunday!!! Are you excited about the party, are you still doing the beach theme?? I'm still trying to figure out what Im doing for Ryan...maybe gymboree...idk...I hope your doing well!! How is Gage these days?

Glad 2 hear that you didn't get hit to hard w/ the storm. I know that this isn't the week that you wanna do yardwork tho.

Is the birthday party all planned? Zayden told me that he wants to come but I told him that he didn't have enough money in his piggy for airfare yet!

I actually think gas to drive might cost as much!!

Today I got 1/2 a tank for $40.03.

My lil' man seems to be feeling a little better! Everytime I touch the sucker thingy he starts crying... even before I touch him. Poor guy!

We went to dinner tonight and ran into one of the nurses from NICU! She was shocked to see how much he had grown. They want me to bring him back up to NICU for a visit but that isn't exactly my favorite place to hang out if you know what I mean.

So, how you doing emotionally this week? Needing a hug yet?

You better take lots of pics on Sunday! You know, my lil' man will "officially" be 1 on Sunday too! Awwwww... Boy, it's strange to think about that.

Ok.... I'm rambling again, huh? My babies are in bed and it is QUIET! Whew!

Hi! Thanks! I did cry a little the morning of his birthday and the night before I didn't want to go to sleep because I knew he would be one when I woke up. It's so funny all of the emotion we feel about these milestones! Everything went really well with his party and I'm just so glad that all of that stress is over! We are doing really well otherwise, Travis is a dare devil and he gives me heart attacks daily! He likes to flip over the laundry basket and climb on top and then stand up! Luckily I'm over protective and I'm never more than a few feet from him. I think there might be some stitches in our future though if he keeps it up! What is new with you guys???

We have seen ALOT about the storms on the news here and trust me.... we are Praying for everyone! Just stay safe ok?

I wasn't even sure if I should mention the exersaucer but Zayden's PT told me when he was about 11 months to THROW IT OUT! I know you like your sitter but it never hurts to keep your eyes open if you are not happy with her techniques. Maybe I could find an article about the delays that children could possibly have if they are contained. LOL! I could email it to you.... you print it... and give it to her to look over. HA!

I take care of children all day and that is one of my biggest pet peaves.... containing children.

Ok... I did my weekly rant!

Heh Girl!

OMG... It FINALLY Friday!

Considering I didn't work on Monday... this has been the LONGEST week.

My husband "handled" the situation at my daughter's school. LOL! He said he would "make an exception" this time and let her turn the work in. He acted like he was doing her a favor or something. This guy is a total nut job! LOL! Good news is.. she now has an A again so she is excited. It's going to be a long year with this moron.

So, do you have everything ready for your Angel's birthday party? How exciting! I wish we could come!!! When is it? Maybe we could make a birthday in the future? That would be neat huh?

Anything new with Mr. Gage? When is his next appointment? Why did your sitter feel like she needed to express her concerns? How do "you" feel about his progress? Is he crawling alot? What does he do during the day with her as far as activities? I know you like her but is she keeping him in an exersauser during the day or a pack -n-play or something? I don't even remember when Zayden started doing everything but girl.... it happened QUICK! Within 9 weeks he was sitting up, crawling AND climbing steps. Now I miss my lil' baby. Actually, I remember that he wasn't crawling on all 4's at his 1st birthday party but VERY shortly after that he became a little monkey!

Zayden is now walking along the furniture but he is to chicken to let go! I have bought like 2-3 walking things for him but nothing has worked. I finally found this little walker toy that we could put weights into to weigh it down and was standing in the front yard yesterday. It is really funny! I took a pic of it and I will post it soon!

Nothing really new to report here! Just glad it is Friday!

Hi there! I hope your family had a great Labor Day! Your new photos of Gage are so cute! Can you believe they are so grown up? Almost ONE, oh my! I am in the process of planning Sophie's party. My Mom is staying with me for a couple of weeks until her birthday. Sophie started making a lot of new sounds lately and will clearly repeat words we say (only once of course.) She's wobbly walking all over. Just a few days ago it was 4 steps at a time, then about 8 steps, now she walks from one side of the living room to the other, it's amazing!
