~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

Well.... when "we" think of preemie's we think of our lil' guys BUT the reunion actually had a HUGE age-span. There were newborn babies there all the way through age "33"! Most of the kids LOVED the balloons... just not my little fuss muffin!

Zayden still isn't doing good in large crowds of people he doesn't know. It was VERY obvious this weekend.

I went to Wal-mart last night and showed Zayden 5 kid toothbrushes! Guess which one he pointed to? ELMO! LOL! Guess he's still lovin' Elmo! That's good cause' Santa got him Elmo Live for Christmas... Shhhhhh... ;) How is Gage handling the whole milk?

Yes! We are still excited for his first everything, LOL> We got his Early Intervention intake appointment for monday. Probably wil take about 3 weeks to have him evaluated by a therapist. She told me premature babies qualify for services until they are 3. Want to get him all the help possible for the best future! Did you ever look into it for Gage? I don't think I would have known about it excpet a co-worker's wife does it for her job and filled me in.

Hey Miss Laura!

Sorry I haven't been online much! The NICU reunion was bitter-sweet. Zayden's main doctor moved and I didn't know it so I was disappointed because that is who "I" really wanted to see. I didn't get alot of pictures because Zayden was not a happy camper! They had a balloon man there and he was TERRIFIED of the pump that the man was using to blow up the balloons. I've never seen him scared like that before... weird! He would calm down and then the man would blow up a balloon and he would SCREAM again. I did get a picture with him with one of our favorite nurses. I will upload it when it slows down around here! Maybe today? They also took us that we could go upstairs to NICU to see any additional nurses that might be working that we wanted to see. Well, that SMELL is something that I will never get over. As soon as I turned the corner to the door that opens into NICU and saw the babies lying there I got choked up. I just couldn't bring myself to go back in there. I know, sounds silly.

My daughter also has the FLU! Apparently it is going around her school alot. I was hoping she wouldn't get it. Now I just have to make sure I keep her AWAY from Zayden. Funny thing is.... the kids are both scheduled to get their flu shots on Friday. Did you get Gage's rescheduled?

It's raining here again today. I don't know if and when I will ever get Zayden to the pumpkin patch. Just in case I don't make it.. I bought some pumpkins and took some pictures of him in my yard! He was playing peek-a-boo with me in my front yard through a bush too! It was soo cute! I'll send you that picture too!

Oh... I LOVE Gage's new photos! He is a cute lil' monkey! I looked up the forecast for Halloween here and it is suposed to be rainy and cold. The next decent day we have around here I am going to put Zayden's costume on and take some pictures outside.

he is to cute and getting big!! they grow so fast don't they. everything here is good.. took the two olest to the denist finnially lol for the frist time and guess what NO cavitiys wow i was surprised but happy to hear it. myranda will be getting braces in about 3-4 years grrr lol. but other then that everything is great!

Hey! Thanks! He is gonna wear that outfit and be a pumpkin for Halloween. We are only going to take him to our friends who live in the same neighborhood. And Bobby is going to bring him to my school's halloween party. The kids have promised they will not hover near him.

I didn't take him for his eval yet. We had trouble connecting because the person who took my phone number for the caseworker transposed numbers. The past two weeks have been crazy. I am going to call her tomorrow after school. Michael got his eyes checked today again. He has slight strabismus. The Eye doc wants to see him again in two months. If he hasn't grown out of it by then, might need surgery to fix it!

What is Gage going to be for halloween? What was he last year? So funny to think you are on your second round of holidays already!!!

the d vist went good.. all my blood work came back good.. my blood paletes are still low so I go back in 6 weeks and get checked again for them.. the babys heart was at 155.. I felt so relieved to hear it :) I go in 2 days to get an U/S yay! a real one lol to see just how far I am I done told them lol.. but oh well I will take the chance to see the little one again anytime. the shots are going good hate the burises it leaves but I have to deal with it. other then that everything is great. how things with you guys?

So, my husband and I are having a general conversation yesterday and the subject of my monthly came up.

Then for some odd reason, we realized that I had not come on my cycle. We discuss how it was late last month and suspecting it would be the same. Well, turns out that thirty days had past since the last cycle. We go and get a pregnancy test and low and behold it was positive this morning! Go figure.

Completely unsuspecting we were. Anyway, I have mild bloating and will wait a bit before being too engaged into this potential new addition.

Strange, I tell you, strange!

Awwwww.... Thank you! I'm going to go buy a new memory card for my camera as soon as I get done working. I still can't get the other one to work. ???? It's odd. Hopefully it is not my camera or I'm gonna be searching to borrow one.

My hubby won tickets yesterday at work to the Kansas City Chiefs game so I guess I am going to Kansas City on Sunday! Although I think the Chiefs have lost EVERY game... it should be alot of fun! One of my neices volunteered to watch the kiddos so I took her up on it!

We're gonna be busy.... busy.... busy!

I am just using the little finger brush also. Some night I practically have to tie my little monkey down to brush his teeth! J/K! It IS work though! I was just thinking about looking at toothbrushes this past week though. Zayden hasn't had any teeth in the back of his mouth until now so the finger brush worked fine!

We're doing great! Hope you get caught up on your sleep this weekend. I actually feel pretty rested this morning. I don't think I will be relaxing this weekend though.

Saturday - My daughter has 2 soccer games... then off the the NICU reunion... then we are meeting some friends for dinner.... then I am picking up one of my daycare kids so she can spend the night Saturday.... then my daughter is going to the Pumpkin Patch. WHEW!

You relax for me K? LOL!

How is Mr. Gage doing? Yesterday Zayden was REALLY fussy! He wass getting mad at his toys for not doing what he wanted them to do. He's not usually like that... poor guy. Anyway, I gave him some Motrin because I suspected that he wasn't feeling to great and I gave him some teething gel. WELL, when I put my finger on his gum I couldn't believe it!! He has 2 more teeth breaking through and his gums are really swollen in the back. I think he is cutting 2 molars now. :( That explains the fussiness!

So, he officially has 6 teeth and 4 more coming in! OUCH!

i will try to get a belly pic up in the next few days ok lol.. its been busy I have to take my oldest to the doctor this morning for her 8 year well child check -up then she is off to school and then I have to food shopping for her party and here at home man these birthdays are breaking us lol so glad this one is due in April lol theres a break in them lol.. then I get to worry about christmas and how I'm going to be able to afford it.. don't look too good this year..sigh... but anyways i will get a few up sometime this week ok. hope you have a good day!!

Morning!

My BUTT hurts! LOL! Last night we went out to grab a bite to eat.... it was raining and I slipped on some wet oil in the parking lot... HOLDING ZAYDEN.

Can you see the picture from here? My poor son has whip-lash! I was just Thankful that his head didn't hit the ground.

My hubby was like OMG..... I didn't know you could still do the splits like that hunny! MEN!

I can't decide on what to put on Zayden for the NICU reunion... any ideas?
