A little bit about us.....

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. But we go way back.....we started dating in high school(1994!!) we dated for 4.5 years and then decided to go our seperate ways......7 years later we got back together and got married....the rest is history!! We have 2 dogs, Madeline(shit tzu) and Cooper(labradoodle). We started this baby journey a little over 2 years ago. It certainly has been a roller coaster ride, but with our love and support for one another we've managed to pull through. We had 2 very early miscarriages and after a year and half of trying we thought it was time to see a fertility specialist. We did all the tests and everything came back normal, which was a relief, but at the same time was still frustrating. Who knew baby making was so hard?!?!?!?

I tested on a Sunday on a whim and was certain it was too early, wasn't suppose to get my period till that Thursday(or so). Did it and left the bathroom.....came back and there was staring me in the face....PREGNANT!!!!! I took the test out to Craig, just to make sure that I was reading it right!!! He read the same thing I was reading!!! We had been through the positive tests before so we weren't really sure how to react.....Thrilled, but also know that it can be taken away just like that. I called our fertility Dr. and had my blood test drawn that following day, HCG 39(the highest it has ever been, our previous pregnancies never got above 20, so we were sooooo relieved), the Dr. wanted me to come back on Wednesday to test again. Wednesday came, HCG 92....We were so happy!!!! Now the journey begins!!

Hey! How was your weekend? Did you get started packing for your weekend trip? That sounds like fun since you get to go somewhere! Even though it will be a pain in the A to get all the stuff packed, you get a little "vacation"! Yes, your car will be stuffed to the top with baby crap! OMG! When we went to California, we decided to take Dave's car (a sedan vs. my SUV) for gas $ savings, but we won't be doing that again next year! We had stuff packed to the top of the car! If I didn't have to take the baby bath tub we would have had more room, but I wasn't going to put my baby in the gross bath tub in a rental house! NO WAY! So, at least you probably won't have to do that! Do you give Garrett a bath in the big tub now? I don't! I tried to give Izzie a bath in the bug tub and she cried! I am all better now! I was feeling a bit sick still Friday morning, but by the time I went to New Moon, I was feeling much better. The movie was pretty good all in all. It was a bit cheesy, but hey it's for teenage girls, right? I did take Dave with me, and he of course thought it was lame! i told him I didn't care if he didn't want to come, but he wanted to go do something with me and without Izzie. So, that is another subject! That kid is on a nap strike! She wouldn't go to bed last night until midnight! Then, this morning, she usually has a nap every 2 to 2.5 hours. Well, not anymore! She woke up at 9am and I just put her down at 1:15! I think she is hating to sleep! Not sure why though. Hmmm......I am sure Garrett will have a couple of rough nights in his new surroundings this weekend, but he will adjust! At least you won't have to go to work in the morning and you can have a nap with him if he stays awake during the night. It will work out! As for our Thanksgiving, it is Dave's family's year to have us. I hosted my family last year, and that was hard! That is a lot of cooking! I am not volunteering again for that job!I can't believe you have to get your Christmas shopping done for the Cookman's before you go! Did you make any headway this weekend? You may have to take a day off, like tommorrow to get all this done! Tell me again when Craig's interview is with the U of Iowa?? I can't remember.....It is so nice to have options! Let me know what is going on with you! And about Farmville...you can gift me whatever! I'll take anything! I need a bigger farm, so I am trying to get my score up to buy a bigger piece of land. I don't have enough neighbors! I need more--then you can get a bigger piece of land.

How FANTASTIC is that that Craig got into school! Celebrations on are on for this weekend!! Congratulations!! That really is too bad about your brother though. I am sure he is so depressed, especially since Craig got in! My sister and her husband had a similar situation for them. He got into Pharmacy school in Philadelphia, but she didn't! She was totally bummed out. She really hasn't been too interested in applying for any others, and then her husband ended up getting into the University of Utah Pharmacy program. She still hasn't decided what she wants to do! I am sure your brother will get in somewhere! It sucks it won't be by you though :(So, I was so freaking busy getting ready for my bookclub yesterday! I did end up making a dish I hadn't made before, and it wasn't that good! CRAP! Then, if that didn't suck enough, I got some kind of stomach bug this morning! I feel okay, just the gurgly stomach. I had to call Dave this morning at 9 to tell him to come home. I really hope Izzie doesn't get it from me, but I am thinking she probably will! I had to give her a bottle this morning, and she kept grabbing at my face. Not good! I am hoping I have the Rotovirus, since she has had that vaccine. I have kept myself quarrantined in my room all day, but I have to go out and say "hi" to her every once and a while. Oh, I just hate being sick! Dave will probably get it too since he kissed my goodnight last night! I wish I knew where I contracted this crap. It sucks so much I can't stand it. I am sick of being in my bed, but when I walk around I just get lightheaded. BLEH! It better be gone by tomorrow since I bought my New Moon tickets 2 months ago!Oh, that is not good that Garrett is biting your nipples! Bad boy! Especially since you tell him "no" and he smiles about it! AND your vet bill! That is a lot of $$$! Wow! I know how you feel though--but I only have 1 dog! His leg isn't as swollen, so that is good news! He still has a hard time jumping up on our bed, which he has done alot today since that is where I have been! I see you have been working on your farm today! It is looking good!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! That's awsome news!!!! You guys have to celebrate that in a huge way!!! Any plans?The whole week was crazy busy... Joe was teething again... 5th tooth!!! He was really misserable... he was so much in pain... he had fever.. upto 102... he is getting a little better now.. I am just worried he is growing 6th now.. and we need a break so badly.. LOL... the poor guy.. he was feeling really sick.. I even went to the doc at one point - worried about the flu... luckally it wasn't that... just the teething.... I wasn't even able to put him down... neither for naps nor for night sleep... I had to rock him every single nap time and have him sleeping with us the whole time during the nigths.... he slept in his crib at least part of the night the last night... and he is napping in his crib now again... so hopefully he is getting better.... I have to go now... Joe is trying to wirte you a mes sa ge nb.... that's from him.... v khub jnnjn . LOL... that boy.... It has been crazy busy.. hopefully it will get better soon, so I'll have time to talk to you more soon... I miss it!!!!

we found out last friday it's a little girlll. we're soo excited. nobody in casey's family has had a boy after him. his brother has 3 girls and this is our 2nd. her name's makynli peyton faith. peyton after her big sister watching over her in heaven and faith that we have the strength to be parents so soon after losing peyton. the dr said she's in her 70th percentile for length and 20th for weight. no suprise as peyton was in the 110th percentile for length at 2 months old and 60th for weight...baby dust and good luck to all the mommies [:

Okay I think this site is actually going to work now!I am keeping my fingers crossed for your family to get into DMU!! OMG you probably already know!! WHAT STRESS!I forgot to ask you about Madeline's ears and rash! How is she? I am so happy that Gman's hives are gone! I am sure you're so relieved right now! Hopefully they don't come back now! I am also glad to hear that you're okay too! I am just sure you're so tired because it is literally exhausting taking care of the baby AND then the added stress of BF too. Your body is just on overdrive! It can't handle any more! I am so tired at night now that I stay home! Holy crap--you're so right about needing to write down a list of daily tasks! I am going to do that! Thanks for the idea! On the breastfeeding--I did try to pump and I even rented a hospital pump, and it seemed to just make my nipples more sore! I went to too many lactation specialists that tore my nipples up too. They are so rough with trying to "help" you get your baby latched on right, I really think they were the key to my undoing with it! My nipples were bleeding after a day of trying to feed her! Do you remember when your's started bleeding? Ahhh, it hurts to just think about those days! Well, I can't wait to hear about the school! Have a GREAT night!

OMG!! You HAVE to get playing Farmville! It is sooo addictive! You could play it at work--in between customer calls and stuff! If you can access FB at work, I don't think you have to download it. It just asks permission to play it on your computer--but it didn't download anything to mine! It is so fun! I love it!! WTF with Garrett's hives! I wonder what they could be from?Have you changed laundry detergent or fabric softner? Lotion? New food? Maybe he allergic to daycare and you will have to quit your job too! Hee hee!I am exhausted from being a stay at home mom! Holy crap! I scrubbed floors and did the outside windows today. I have NEVER washed exterior windows before (never had time!) Anyway, LOVE the results! I can actually see out of them now! Who would have thought? Then, I had Izzie's pics taken this afternoon. I hope there is a good one in there for Christmas cards this year. I wanted to have Charlie be in them too, but I thought it may be too hectic trying to get Izzie to smile AND have Charlie stay in a picture with her! Oh well! I don't know if he'll be around next year (he is already 11)! His leg isn't getting ANY better. I don't know what to do! Would you take Cooper or Madeline if their leg was swollen? With the breastfeeding--I was going to try with the next baby. We shall see if this baby has a bad latch like Izzie--if he/she does, I won't be sticking with it. And the nipples--even though I only did it for 2 weeks, my nipples are ruined! So, at least you stuck with it and have something to show for your efforts. Mine are just ruined for nothing! Izzie's rash is coming and going. We did put her soley back on regular formula, and we haven't had any diarhhea with this cold. YAY! Her cough is still pretty bad today. I also get these horrible coughs so I am sad that she seemed to inherit that! Poor baby! Your weekend sounds like heaven....our's last weekend was like that! My mom went to Philly to see my brother, so I didn't have to drive all the way to her house. I won't be so lucky this weekend though :( Let me know how Gman's hives are! I hope they are getting better!

Wow, your dinner sounds so good that you had on Friday! I want that right now! YUM! AND wine all night?!? Yummier! I love the quaint hidden jem restaurants like those that have the best food! So how long are you going to keep breastfeeding? I think you should for as long as you can! I still think back and sometimes wonder if I gave it enough of a chance...but then I remember how horrible it was for both Izzie and I and I think I made the right choice. Doesn't really matter now what's done is done, right? Oh this dog is driving me bananas! He instists on going out every hour or less! He is sooo annoying! Then, when I was putting Izzie's swing and bouncy chair away in the garage (she is DONE with them), he of course pushes the door open into the garage and gets all greasy! UGH! He also pushes Izzie's bedroom door open and wakes her up from her naps! He needs to go on a vacation to dog camp! He is such a brat!So, I tried some acorn squash with Izzie today, and she didn't like it! It does have a "different" taste, but I thought she would like it since she likes all the other squash. NOPE! She didn't! She now has her rash back that is probably yeast! She got it last time she was sick, and I am sure this is going to be an ongoing battle. At least I have more of her butt cream! It sucks though. Charlie's leg is STILL really swollen too! These kids and their problems! I told Dave we should take him to the vet and he said no, they will just want to sell us some sort of surgery or cast. I think I will take him if it is still swollen in a couple of weeks. I just don't know if I am being a cruel dog mom or what! That is cool that Craig got a chance to go to 6th street. What did he think of Coyote Ugly? I have been there, but the girls weren't dancing on the bar when I went. How fun though! We should go there!

HELLO! OMG my last day was so busy! My boss had all this work for me to do. I felt guilty since he doesn't get to replace me so I did all the work for him. He even left early and didn't tell me I could leave too! Kind of a jerk, right? oh well, I am done with him! So far, being home is good. We'll see how I feel come January! With the holidays coming, I feel like I can fill my days up pretty quickly, but the depressing days of winter can wear on you! Charlie is the only problem so far with staying home! He wants to go outside and play with rocks the entire day! He sit and kicks that the door constantly! I can't let him play with rocks because he pounces on them and gets all muddy, in addition to ripping up the grass! What a stinker he is! Izzie is being an angel right this minute though. She still has a really bad cough, but the cold seems to be getting better. Her cough is really dry, so I hope it doesn't linger for weeks and weeks :(So, I am a big loser and didn't get Izzie's daycare teachers a thank you gift! HELLO? They all chipped in and got her this gift bag with all this cute stuff in it, and I know that they bought it all with their own money (which they are waaaaay underpaid as it is)! Anyway, I am going to go to mall and get them each a lotion from Bath and Body and take them some bagels for breakfast. Do you think that is enough of a thank you? I mean, they did take care of my baby for 3 months!It doesn't seem like anything is enough for that! How was your weekend? Did you get all hung over??? My "girls night out" was sort of a disaster. We went to this club that I hadn't been to before--and it was GHETTO! I think they let out all the least attractive people in the world and had them to go this club! There was a blind guy dancing on the dance floor and I was thinking that this would be the one time it would be okay to be blind so you wouldn't have to see all the most hideous people! I guess I am snobby! I want to see pretty people when I go out! THEN, all the girls we planned to go out with dogged us! So, it was just me and my sister. Luckily, a friend of mine from work was there, so we hung out with her and her friends. THANK GOODNESS!How was your girls weekend? I am sure you had so much fun since you don't get to see your girls very often! How did the parents like hanging with Gman? I am sure they were so depressed to leave him and go home! I am jealous your hubby went to Austin! Where did he end up staying? Did he hit 6th street and check out the crazy college kids? If I would have known he was going there, I would have suggested all of my most favorite restaurants to go to! How is crappy work today? Busy as ever?

I was thinking about all the possibilities.... maybe it tastes funny - well, he eat it with the cereal when I give it to him on a spoon... so I put a little bit of cereal into the bottle - nope, he starts crying right away and refuses immediately... he starts crying when he sees the bottle... so maybe if I give him a fresh milk.. so I pumped this morning fresh milk and gave it to him - nope... not even a half of ounce...!!!! He takes a pacifier... so it can not be that he doesn't want the rubber.... and yet, he used to take it without any problem... I can give it to him on a spoon, but I can not do that with every 5 ounces of the milk and I sure can not do that at 10:30 when we have our last feeding for the day when I want to drink a glass of wine.. I hope you understand me.. I am not selfish... I just want to have an option to have a chance to have a glass or two of wine every one and then... or what if I am sick and couldn't breastfeed.. or maybe my milk production would go down... I love to nurse him, I just want to have an option to have also "my own life" every one and then... or at least to have the chance to sleep while Greg or my mom takes turn and feed him... he still wakes up every hour or two, so I get ocasionally really exhausted and then it's very handy to have the frozen milk in the freezer... and he used to take it... I don't understand why he stopped... I even tried to give him a formula today, just to see if he would take that... no way! he is stubborn like a nobody else.... he just wants my nipple really badly... LOL.. I hope you'll not think about me being a bad mother.. but I decided not to give him my nipple untill he'll take a bottle.... He dosn't seem sick or anything like that... so I really want him to take the bottle.... so we have really difficult day today - he screams like hell... .. My mom sais that this is the time he tries his own Will... and that he'll take it when he is really hungry...

Congratulations on the DMU interview to your husband!!! That is awsome!!! I so hope he gets it, that would be wonderful!!!How was your weekend?We went to Austin for Greg's friend party... it was great... too many people though.. Joe was scared, but then he was on his best behaivour... he was just such a good boy... everybody loved him... he was very happy and cheerful... Although we got this new problem.. he wouldn't take a bottel.. so when I drank a wine there he reather chose to be hungry... WTF!!! He used to take it without any problem.. and he takes a pacifier!!! But now he decided that he wants only my nipple... and yet, it's my milk!!! I pump and freeze it for this kind of situation... I don't know what to do with him... My freezer is packed with the milk and yet he wouldn't take it!!! And it can not be bad or spoiled or anything like that because he is perfectly happy with it when I make it with cereal and give it to him on the spoon... I even put a little bit of the cereal into the bottle yesterday because I know he likes that.. but nope!!! Any advise girl? Did you have any similar problem?

Okay, these ladies at DC centers and their KISSING! Holy crap! What is the deal??? I wouldn't dream of kissing someone's child---EVER!! Yes, I have thought about how I only spend an hour or 2 with Izzie every night since I went back to work. It has been so hard to deal with! Then, with her getting sick all the time just sealed the deal for me to deal with less money so I can stay home. I hope you're able to soon! I am routing for you to get out of working!! How fantastic would THAT be??!?!?!I know EXACTLY what you mean about these kids not wanting to play with their own toys! Oh my, when I am sitting at my computer at home and she is on my lap--she can't stay away from the keyboard! I actually went to our I.T. department today to ask if I could have an old keyboard for her--and they gave me a new one! YAY! LOVE that! I can't wait to see her play with it! So, how did you like the ending of Eclipse? Wasn't it just fantastic?? It gets EVEN better in Breaking Dawn. You may not have any time to read it this weekend since you're going to have family and friend things to do! Funny that you are going out with your girlfriends! I am going out with the girls tomorrow night! I am looking forward to it! I went to the mall today to buy a new club shirt to go out in! I hope I don't come down with Izzie's horrible cold she has now contracted before tomorrow night. She was up in the middle of night again last night with this horrible, horrible cough. It sucks in the worst way. I wish we could give them medicine. So, I had another rough night with little sleep. We'll see what adventures we have in store for tonight. I am sure more of the same!Oh, I am freaking out that tomorrow is my last day at work. I am seriously going to bawl my eyes out tomorrow! I am really going to miss talking to my nerd friends! :( So, what part of TX is Craig going to for golf? How fun for him--it is warm there!I hope have a great night with your parents! Oh, you must finish your book! Then read Breaking Dawn!! It does get so much better---it is soooooo good! I know, it is hard to get time to read with the little one around! I am in a book club and I have to stay up late into the night most nights to get my books read! I am hosting our book club this month, so I got to choose the book. It is a murder mystery--nothing like the page turners of Stephanie Meyers though! You should totally get a sitter and go to the movie! It is supposed to be so much better than Twilight with the new director. We are going to a 4:20pm showing, so we don't leave Izzer late into the night. OMG, that girl will not nap anymore! She only took 1 hour nap at DC yesterday! THEN, she didn't even take another nap the rest of the night (which she usually does when we get home from work). She just hates to sleep! I don't like this phase because she is so cross all the time! She is just mean, mean, mean! I am sure she would be swearing at us if she could talk! Oh, I know--I hate that our babies are growing up so fast! They are looking like little kids now instead of babies! I miss my baby that didn't pull my hair and pull off all my jewelry! She also can't sit in my lap while I eat anymore, she just grabs at everything on my plate. Anyway, I know that you aren't going to want Garrett in the toddler room! Do they just put him in there right when he turns 1? My DC waits until the school year is over before they move the kids. Liking your teacher is so important too! I know you are "iffy" about the new teacher in the toddler room, and I can totally identify with you on that one! Except the one that bugs me right now is in Izzie's room. She is so annoying! She grabs at Izzie as soon as I get there in the morning! I am like "back up of it bitch"! I will give her to you when I am good and ready! SOOOO ANNOYING! I hope Craig can spend more time with him next semester too! Oh, and now you only have 1 week and a 1 day before you know about med school! HOORAY!
