A little bit about us.....

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. But we go way back.....we started dating in high school(1994!!) we dated for 4.5 years and then decided to go our seperate ways......7 years later we got back together and got married....the rest is history!! We have 2 dogs, Madeline(shit tzu) and Cooper(labradoodle). We started this baby journey a little over 2 years ago. It certainly has been a roller coaster ride, but with our love and support for one another we've managed to pull through. We had 2 very early miscarriages and after a year and half of trying we thought it was time to see a fertility specialist. We did all the tests and everything came back normal, which was a relief, but at the same time was still frustrating. Who knew baby making was so hard?!?!?!?

BFP.....

I tested on a Sunday on a whim and was certain it was too early, wasn't suppose to get my period till that Thursday(or so). Did it and left the bathroom.....came back and there was staring me in the face....PREGNANT!!!!! I took the test out to Craig, just to make sure that I was reading it right!!! He read the same thing I was reading!!! We had been through the positive tests before so we weren't really sure how to react.....Thrilled, but also know that it can be taken away just like that. I called our fertility Dr. and had my blood test drawn that following day, HCG 39(the highest it has ever been, our previous pregnancies never got above 20, so we were sooooo relieved), the Dr. wanted me to come back on Wednesday to test again. Wednesday came, HCG 92....We were so happy!!!! Now the journey begins!!

I too, feel so much relief after this guessing game is over... I feel so much bonded with our Josifek ... it's like having suddenly a real baby inside, not a bean anymore... if you understand what I mean... I loved our baby so much before as well, but now I am just so in love with him... and he was such a good boy.... I was such a proud momma...

You'll have such a good time on Thanksgiving.. it will be a precious time to tell everyone not only that you are pregnant, but also, that you are expecting a boy!!! I wonder how your grandma will react.

I was thinking about other names: Josef William Farnik... or Josef Benjamin Farnik... or Josef Thomas Farnik... which one of them you like the most? Oh the first one was Greg's idea... He liked Josef William Farnik.
I like that too... but he still like Joe Bob the most... Uff...

When do you leave for Thanksgiving? Text Tuesday right? For how long? I can not beleive that Thanksgiving is here in just a week and two days! The time is flying so fast.. before we know we are in labour and meeting our little guys...

I actually talked to my dad a lot in his last days and I told him that I will name our son one day after him. I wanted to give him something to look forward and keep on... and now I feel honored to fulfill my promise. That would be so special if our Josef (I will call him from now on in Czech nickname for babies - Josifek) would be born on April 15 - on my dady's B-day... that would be really something!
I really like your name Garrett... Greg's uncle is Garrett. And it is still very precious to use Joseph for a middle name... His grandpa will be still very happy... :)
We are thinking about our Josifek middle name, but the only good match we came up with is Robert... Josef Robert.. which would be Joe Bob Farnik... but and it's a big BUT!!!! Our dog is Bob... so that would be really funny to have Bob and Joe Bob...!!!! Can you immagine.. but damn it sounds good... LOL
We tried several other combination, but can not come with anything better... but I really don't want to "punish" our little baby and call him with the same name as our dog..

. If you think about any name that might sound good, let me know... we really need help here.. LOL

Yes, it was so amazing to see how big they got. I too, am stil on cloud 9... he was so beautiful and so cute... and his little lips moving... he was precious...

If you get to schedule the 3D u/s, they are saying it's the best around 26-28 week, later they get too big and you can not see much.
Can you beleive that Josifek is 8 inches long!!!! Wow.. I can not beleive how he can fit there... :)
You have to post your baby's Garrett picture in you site.. and your belly...

I want to enjoy seeing him as well.. And if you could take picture with the cute little outfit you bought and post it as well..

Well, I just got home and I have the big news!!!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!! And very proud boy, I have to say...

... You can not miss that boy's part.. Greg almost choked when we saw that... you can not be mistaken that this is a BOY!!!
He is 8 inches long and 10 oz... and he seemd so happy there... like calm... just used a little his legs and arms to move a little bit, but very calmly and he sticked tongue out and make a small movement with his little mouth.. he was so cute!!! We already decided on his name.. Josef after my dady's name... :)
I feel so happy... everything looks healthy and good. I too am a very proud momma... we are going to have momma's boys.. :)

I am so happy for you to go for a Missouri for Thanksgiving in a week! That will be such a nice experience.. all the reactions there... I just told my mom on the Skype web camera and it was nice to see her crying and smiling... she was so happy. She is comming in 2 and half weeks!

We went ahead and scheduled the 3D U/S for January 19.... I wanted to schedule it now, because I wanted to be sure that my mom still will be here and will be able to see it... I want her to go with us...

How do you feel today! Extremely happy, I guess..

I went for a nice walk this afternoon and when I came home I found out that my electrocity in all house is gone.. and what is worse, my cell batterie went dead as well.. GOSH... I ran to my neighbours and hoped they are home... LOL .. luckaly they were and we called them from there and it's working now... Of course those kind of things happen when you are home alone..Greg left for the biz trip today morning... and he will not be home until tomorrow evening... otherwise I would find out the sex tomorrow with you.. remember? I had to reschedule the date. That would be cute if we found out at the same day though...

Anyway, good luck tomorrow and let me know everything!

Hi girl and happy Thursday!!! I am so excited with you!!! I am thinking about your tomorrow U/S all the times! You'll have to tell me everything after that.. what do they do. I heard it's pretty detailed oriented..
Any more strong kicks? Our baby was moving like crazy yesterday at the concert.. I so hope he/she wasn't scared of the drums... He stopped after 3 or 4 songs, so maybe he/she got used to....

. And now she/he is very calm.. .maybe totaly exhausted from yesterday big movements..

The concert was very nice ... she was a British singer... something between opera and rock.. I would say that she is singing modern opera.... it was really beautiful, I want her CD.... Her name is Sarah Brightman.
Greg was joking that our baby was maybe dancing while I was thinking he kicked me make me go to some quit place..

Only four more days and I will not have to talk about our baby "she or he" all the times.. I can not wait...

My movements are iregular too, some day I feel him/her a lot and I feel so happy, like yesterday and another time I don't feel him/her maybe even several days... and then I start worry again... :)
Yes, ask the doc about the stethascope, because I know everything is all right, but if you do it wrongly and don't get to hear his/her heart you'll get panick. It's better to get trained first...

I know myself, I get crazy that something goes wrong and yet everything is fine, it's just me...

I am so excited for you ... only two more days!!! Wow... I can not wait to hear from you on Friday... it would be like if I was there...

I am so excited to have my mom here... only 3 more weeks and I'll have here here for 7 weeks. We don't know when she will get the permanent resident and could stay over for good.. it's up to the US government... it can take a very short time, or longer... If it was up to me, I would move her here right the way...

Today we are sending the all documents for asking for a permanent resident card for her... I had to wait for my certification that I am a US citizen now... I couldn't send it without it. So keep your fingers crossed that somebody will look over it very fast and she will be aproved soon...
Greg and I are going for a concert today.. I honestly don't even know who will be the singer because it's free ticket from Greg's company, but we will have a suit with other lawer from his office with food and drinks, so it might be nice who ever is the singer... but I beleive it will be nice.
How do you feel today? I am feeling good, just kind of tired for several days.. .I always need to go and take a nap every afternoon and even with that I get tired very quickly after my dinner... and then sleep by the TV..

Yes, yesterday went by very fast.. and so does today... I had an accupuncture appointment at 11, then I went for lunch with Greg and now I just woke up from my "afternoon nap"... (

) and in a couple minutes I will go to the Church daycare to help with that kids and then Greg will be back home... I am glad when time is going fast.. tomorrow should go fast too, because we will go for a concert ... Greg got some tickets from his company... it will be in those cubicus.... I hope for a good food with it...

... Are you getting more hungry lately? I am.. I still don't have appetite for many variaties, but the little I like I would eat all the times...

Also, do you feel your baby more often now?

I am very glad you had the nice walk... I know how nice it is... I never want to go, but then I go and I am so happy for it.. and feel so good!!! Just be carefull, girl, when it's already dark.. but you have your hairy babies with you, so it should be fine.. just be careful!

I know how you have to be excited about Thanksgiving and your family! That would be so nice... and especially because tomorrow is Wednesday and in just 3 days you'll see your baby!!!! And will be able to tell them the sex.. that is so good! So they still don't know you are pregnant right?? That has to be hard not to tell them!

I hope your day is going fast too... it's very nice idea to take off the rest of Friday... you'll enjoy it.. this way it will be more special!

Hi girl and Happy Tuesday! I am glad your weekend was nice and relaxing. Ours was very nice, too.. we still have very nice and warm weather, thought...

. We went for a walk with Bob.

Yesterday I didn't get to the comp because I had my swear in day! I became a US citizen officialy! I got my certificate. Greg took time off and his dad was there too and so many people from our Church.. it was nice... there were 500 canditates from 71 different countries!!! WOW!!! After that we went for nice later lunch (the ceremony took over 2 hours!!!) I will post some pictures later.

I know girl..in just a several days you have your big day!!! I am so excited for you and I can not wait to hear how it went! Do you think about a girl or boy or is it still open?..

. I still think we expect a girl.

I think the Yoga class is a great idea.. .I have never done Yoga before, so I am a little scared that it would be very difficult for me... I will ask the doc on Monday what he recomends for me...

I hope you have a very nice day.. we got some rain (FINALLY!!!) after so many dry days! So I am glad that our plants and bushes and trees are getting water...they were so dry.

I know I was just thinking about you and that your big u/s is just in a week!!!! You'll have to tell me everything after that, so I will know what to expect on Monday after that.... !!!
I thought you might be very busy at work, yesterday... but I am sorry you had a bad headache. I know it's very common around this time.. I had headache last week a lot, but luckaly not too bad. It just never went away and it was always present, but I wasn't too miserable... I am the same, I am waiting till the last second to take any medicine as well... I am waiting until I get miserable... even Greg always tries to make me take some because he doesn't want me to suffer, but I refuse it most of the times... I know that tylanol is fine to take, I am just still scared and try not to unless it's too bad...
Well, right now when I am talking to you I just felt two kicks of our baby.... wow, I haven't felt him/her since Wednesday morning... and I felt him/her now again... I am starting to really recognize our baby from other things...

I know how difficult it is to make yourself motivated to do some excercise thing when you come home and it's already dark and cold.. that is not funny... I wouldn't do it either... I can do it only during the mid day with lot of sunshine... maybe the gym would be good... or do you have some kind of walking trail around your company? When I worked we had this perfect school walking trail right around corner and we walked during lunch brake... that was great! Something like that would be perfect for you.... you could only bring some comfortable shoes with you to work and some outfit to change and that's it.. but not a lot of places have this near by... I guess you don't right?
Or maybe if some gym is near by, you could just go for the lunch quick/light excercise there ... I know how hard is to do it when it's dark and late.... it's not even fun anymore...

I am glad you'll have some nice time with your hubby during the weekend! I am also looking forward to be with Greg... we plan to do some yard work.. we need to prepare our trees for winters and cut some bushes and plants.. I love that kind of work, but I'll have to be carefull, because like the doctor said with every harder physical work I could start bleeding again as my cervix is very sensitive and vascular... so I must do it very slowly and relax a lot of the time... good news is that I haven't spotted since Tuesday....

Oh by the way, I called my doc yesterday again, because I became paranoid again that I am maybe loosing my amniotic fluid... my discharge is really watery... but they calmed me down with saying that they have checked for this on Tuesday and that there is nothing wrong with me, that the discharge is just because my pregnancy is progressing and the hormons are high, so I don't have to worry... I am so glad I called them... I really started panicking again... I am so thankful to have such a nice and patient doctor who is willing to answer me everything several time a week...

I hope your headache is gone today and for the rest of the week as well..so you can enjoy the weekend... maybe you can get some walk with your hubby and your hairy babies during the mid day weekends... that might be fun..

Yes, I thought I would recognize the yeast infection... I've never had one (at least, I don't know the Czech word for it... LOL so I don't know if I had it or not...

). My dictionary didn't find that word, but it's OK. I beleive I don't have it, now since you said it's not fun to have it... I don't feel anything wrong, no itching, no bad smell, nothing... so I guess, I am fine.

I will check for my discharge consistency, but I beleive it is a little more thick then just pee.... I think (I hope).... :) But thank you very much for your answer.. it made me calmer... I should'nt read Internet... Gosh I love to read there, but it always makes me so scared and worried!!!

Hi Lisa, thank you for checking on me.. I haven't spotted today... so that is good.
I am resting, although I have to admit I just return from a nice half hour walk.. I think walking can not hurt anything... I beleive the baby can only benefit from it. But I don't lift anything.

I have one question for you... it couldn't have been me not to search around the internet what can cause the cervix bleeding..

.... after all the reading I am even more scared...

... and I got to also read about the vaginal discharge..and now the question. Is your vaginal discharge also a little bit clear and white, but with a little bit of yellow color? I am very sorry for such a private question... but I just read that if it is yellow it can be some yeast infection... so far I thought that my white discharge with light yellow color is normal???!!! And also, do you have it like that it drops sometimes like maybe two times a day or something like that? And it's kind of clear like a little bit of water? This is another think I read that if the discharge is watery then it can mean that your amniotic fluid is leaking.. Gosh..!!!! I have it a little bit watery, but just a little bit and I thought it's normal.... so I don't know if I should call the doctor again... so I am cheking with you first... what do you think??? Is my discharge normal???? I got some "pop smear" or how you call it - the exam inside early in the pregnancy and I had this thing even before and they never came with anything being bad.. .and yesterday he examined me again, but just looking for the blood, he didn't test any of my discharche.

I also started doing the journal now... I also wanted to do it from the begining, but forgot and now I started.. so I think it's never too late..

Hi there, well I just got back from my doctor.He did all the exam and listened to my baby's HB. He didn't do any u/s though. But thanks God, my baby is all right and healthy, with HB in 150's. But he found out that my cervix is bleeding a little bit which is probably from the lifting I did last weekend when I decorated the house. He calmed me down with telling me that everything seems fine and healthy from what he can see, but I should take it easy and rest until my u/s in two weeks. And my Greg will have to be patience again - no fun in bed...

Hi girl, think about me, I am going to the doc now... I went to the bathroom and I found some kind of a little brown discharge... it scared me so much. I called my doc right the way, and she said it's probably nothing to worry about, that it's probably old blood, but I haven't had any spotting since my 6 week of pregnancy... so it really scares me... and we didn't make love last night or even the night before... she said it could be the work I was doing around the house and lifting all the stuff... so maybe... but I am still very worried.. so she told me to come and she will check on the baby... so keep your fingers crossed...

Girl, I am so proud of myself!!!! Guess what.... I did some excercises this aftenooon!!! After all thouse months of doing nothing, just sleeping, I really did something! I feel great! I didn't excercise for long.... just 25 or 30 minutes... I was guickly tired - have to get trained again... but still better then nothing, right? I went outside to our back yard and excercise there.. so I got even some fresh air out of it... good combination... and guess what I think I feel the baby now... if it's not gas then it's definately our baby... I think I woke him/her up with my movements and oxigen ..

Yes, I got the same feelings when Greg brought my pillow home... I didn't know if I like it or not ... I had to get use to it.. but you'll love it later when you find out some comfortable positions.... now I don't even want to sleep without it.. the only downside is that I was used to snugle with Greg before and now I can't because the pillow is just so big.. so Greg is joking that I switched him for the pillow and that he is not good enough anymore... LOL

I know I, too try not to worry that much about the movements, but this Friday I am already in week 18 and kind of wonder if everything is all right... Sometimes I feel something down there, but then I think it really could be gas... and even when I think that maybe that might be the baby, then I don't feel anything for the following week, which scares me again...

I asked N2moola about it as she had been pregnant twice before this current one and she said that she hasn't felt anything until week 18 with her two previous pregnancy and that when she talked to doc he told her that our babies are growing so much in this stage that it makes them very tired and they sleep most of the times, so that might maybe explain why I don't feel anything for a week and then maybe something simular to gas (maybe the baby???) and then again nothing for a week... I don't know.. I hope that everything is all right.

I too love to decorate our house.. that is something I really enjoy! After I am done I just keep looking at the decoration over and over and enjoy the view and make even Greg to watch it with me over and over... and he is so patiance and watch it with me even though has seen it 5 minutes before.. LOL

The good thing about being busy is that the time will go faster and that you'll soon will get to see your baby on u/s... Gosh I can not wait. You'll have to tell me what they have been doing, how long does it take and what all they are looking at.. I heard it might even take around half hour for the sono.... wow... I would love that... at least I could enjoy watching our baby...

Do you think this following U/S will be done on the belly instead of the thing going inside us? I sure hope so...

Happy Monday! So we got a many nice things for our house this weekend... like lamps for the living room and some decorations and new dishes and glasses... I was so excited! We have been living in this house for two years, but we are still not fully furnished. The house looks so pretty now... I love that... I was so excited and worked so hard on decorating the house yesterday that I totaly forgot about being pregnant...

I felt so great and not tired... that later I was like " I hope I am still pregnant.."...

. I so much need to go to the doc already, because it has been a month since my last visit and I really need a confirmation!!!! Two more weeks Gosh... it will be forever!!!
How do you feel? Did you relax during your weekend? We had nice visit with Greg's sister and her hubby and daughter... their house is gorgeous!!! Really beautifull.... It's really a dream house. They were happy with their gift cards... LOL

I talked to Greg's sister yesterday and she said that she will be happy with a gift card, so that is absolutely fine with us and we will give her that... I am glad I don't have to go shopping for hours and not know anyway...

Yes, I am looking forward to see all the kids dressed up... the little one are the cutest... and nicest..

I am anxious to get to dress our baby in a "small" outfit for the next Halloween... can you immagine, exactly this time next year we will already have a half year old kids... wow...

Do you plan some birth and breastfeeding classes? Have you talked to your doctor about it? I plan to talk to him this following visit.. I don't even know if you plan breast feed...
