A little bit about us.....

My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years. But we go way back.....we started dating in high school(1994!!) we dated for 4.5 years and then decided to go our seperate ways......7 years later we got back together and got married....the rest is history!! We have 2 dogs, Madeline(shit tzu) and Cooper(labradoodle). We started this baby journey a little over 2 years ago. It certainly has been a roller coaster ride, but with our love and support for one another we've managed to pull through. We had 2 very early miscarriages and after a year and half of trying we thought it was time to see a fertility specialist. We did all the tests and everything came back normal, which was a relief, but at the same time was still frustrating. Who knew baby making was so hard?!?!?!?

I tested on a Sunday on a whim and was certain it was too early, wasn't suppose to get my period till that Thursday(or so). Did it and left the bathroom.....came back and there was staring me in the face....PREGNANT!!!!! I took the test out to Craig, just to make sure that I was reading it right!!! He read the same thing I was reading!!! We had been through the positive tests before so we weren't really sure how to react.....Thrilled, but also know that it can be taken away just like that. I called our fertility Dr. and had my blood test drawn that following day, HCG 39(the highest it has ever been, our previous pregnancies never got above 20, so we were sooooo relieved), the Dr. wanted me to come back on Wednesday to test again. Wednesday came, HCG 92....We were so happy!!!! Now the journey begins!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have a super fantastic time and the weather is good! I am sure you will though! My presentation went okay, my teacher told me I was standing to my side too much, so I will have to watch that for next week's "real" presentation. I am so nervous for it, and then we have a mock interview/couseling session with some people in our program that are almost done, so I am freaking out about that! We practiced this last night and I sucked at it soooo bad. I hope I get into the program. I can't remember if I told you I have to pass this course to be admitted into the Masters program--it is their way of getting out of the GRE test but still keep their accredidation status. So, we had a bit of a scare tonight! We got some steroids for Charlie's leg that was really helping with the collection of joint fluid (I actually wrote you this long message all about this vet visit where we got a second opinion on his leg amputation, but I screwed up and it got erased), anyway, the steroids are not helping him walk better, but are helping with the gross swelling. So, today I put his pill in a canine carryout--I am sure you know what those are since you have dogs! That little jerk somehow tricked me and acted like he ate the pill, but spit it out after I walked away. Yeah, I only know this because tonight, Izzie crawled off and wasn't making any noise and I know she is into trouble when she isn't making any noise---YUP of course she was eating the frickin Prednizone! UGH! We called Poisen Control freaking out! They said she will get a stomach ache and be a bit hyper (which she was!) I just don't know what I would do if something more serious would have happened! What can you do? Leave these babies in a cage so they won't get into anything? What a mess. With the scrapbook thing! I am so bad too! My sister actually started one for me as a shower gift, and it is soooo cute, but have I added anything to it?? NO! I did put her hair bow from the hospital in it, but that is it! What a loser mom! Oh well.....Anyway, I am sure you're getting out of town today--Have such a great trip! "Talk" to ya when you get back!

Oh, I hope you're right and you aren't going to get that puking sickness. It is the worst sickness to get! GROSS! That sucks that your MIL got it too. Geeze. I hope your cold is better by this weekend for your trip! It has got to be though, you have had it a couple of days already.....I can't believe you had to pay the babysitter 60.00. Makes me want to get a nighttime babysitting job! Not really...Although that is a lot of money for one night out. At least you had fun with Craig--it is so nice to get out with your spouse! AND YES, we do get on each other's nerves when Izzie is grumpy. It puts the whole house on edge. I hate it. Yeah, the weird nap schedule continues on today. I think her top teeth are coming in...the gums are getting pretty thin up there. I can't really look in there because she pushes my hands away when I try to pull her mouth open. She hates it! She is also will only eat babyfood! How weird that these babies are already so opinionated!Yes, we were getting a taste of spring last week, then this week we got 8 inches of snow! Then last night it snowed all night, but it was above freezing so it didn't stick too much. I am with you and want this freakin' winter to be done! Well, I am off to school to do my practice presentation!I am a bit nervous!

How horrible that everyone is so sick at your house! Do you think Craig got the flu from Garrett or someone else? It has been a while since Garrett had it, right? I think it only has a 1 to 48 hour incubation period. I hope you don't get it on top of your cold. That would be so awful--especially when you're already stressed out about your trip preparation. How does Garrett have a bilateral ear infection? Was he already on antibiotics? Poor baby! Did they prescribe a stronger antibiotic? Norah Jones concert sounds so much fun! I am jealous! Who is babysitting? Will the babysitter have to do the breathing treatment on him? You and Craing must have been train wrecks with worry at how sick he is! I am so sorry. I hate that these little ones get so sick and we can't tell them it is going to get better someday! I finally got my paper done! Hooray! Although I now have to make a presentation on that paper to present to my class next week. I have a practice presentation that I have to give tomorrow night. It is on whatever we want, so I did it on recycling. It is pretty interesting....more so than my presentation on why I want to be a school counselor. Who wants to hear that over and over in my class next week?? NOT ME! It is going to get pretty boring. So, how is Garrett's nap schedule these days? Izzie is only taking one nap around 1 or 2. It is kind of screwing up my days! That is when I get ready to go out and run errands for the day. She is messing with the schedule! She sleeps a long time--like 2 to 2.5 hours, but I can't get much done in the morning now! I don't ever get in the shower until 12! What a disaster I am! I work out in the morning before she wakes up, then housework, so I don't want to shower before all that! At least I will have time to do homework in the afternoons though. I hate homework! It sucks! Well, have soooo much fun tonight, and I will keep little Garrett on my mind to get better! Poor boy!

Hi!!Okay, Garrett is way more advanced in the eating stuff department than Izzie. She doesn't want to eat anything is s chunk! She only wants pureed food. It is sooo weird. I tried giving her some pieces of pasta on Tuesday night and she WOULD NOT eat it! She is weird. I don't know....she still only has 2 teeth too, although I swear she is teething....but you know how that goes! She wouldn't nap all day yesterday!! AT ALL! She finally passed out in her high chair around 5:30 last night and I had to go to school, so we put her in her crib and the garage door woke her up when I left! So, she didn't nap all day for real! THEN, she wouldn't go to bed until 11:30 last night! WTF??? What baby sleeps so little? She is so whiney again too. I really need a break from this whiney girl. She has had one thing after another and I am just exhausted. I still have 4 pages of my paper left, and I learned in class how complicated my presentation needs to be about that paper! I am so stressed out! I have had a horrible headache for days--literally. I hope she will nap today so I can get some more of paper done! I think I have spent about 15 hours on it so far, and I told people in my class that last night, and I think they think I am nuts! But, I think I am not as smart as most, so I really do need that much time to do my paper! Sorry, but I am! As for the birthday....I think an Olivia theme or Backyaridigans...or there are these little bugs on Nickelodean Jr. that are so cute! Izzie won't know, but at least I will think it is cute! I think I will send out invites too! We are too alike I swear! AND the Bachelor! I KNOW! Jake is nuts to want to marry that low-class chick! Holy crap! She is from the frickin' swamp! Florida has so many crappy areas, and she is from one of them. He just thinking with his hormones right now. She is not even cute! Dave thinks she looks like a horse---and you know, she does! She is going to get fat when she is older too! You can tell already! Then there was darling tiny little Tenley! His family just loved her too. I honestly think that he won't end up marrying Vienna, I mean, she is named after a sausage after all!

Hi!!!How is Garrett feeling now? Did he have the stomach flu or was it the cold that made him throw up?? How awful!! I feel your pain though. Izzie is FINALLY on the mend from all of her diseases and ear infection! She had to get on this heavy duty antibiotic that makes her have really bad diarrhea and she has this horrible diaper rash. I called the doc on Saturday about it and they said there is nothing I can do about it, just wait until we are done with the antibiotics. I have been giving her Acidopholis supplements and a ton of yogurt, and that seems to be helping a little but the rash is still horrible. She is so sad when I have to change her diaper. We aren't done with the drugs until Saturday, so I guess I am in for it for a lot more days. :( Oh, I would be soooo mad about the chocolate cake too! OMG!! I am so sorry. I have the same thing with the cake and the first b-day. What can you do though? Tell the daycare he can't have any treats? That would be sad for him to see all the other kids having it--and they probably would give it to him anyway, even if you told them not to. That is just a crappy situation. I am sorry! So, when you give Garrett beans, do you give him the smashed ones in a can, or do you give him the whole beans? We haven't given Izzie much to feed herself, I don't want her to make a mess! I know, what a dumb mom I am! I know she needs to feed herself but I don't want to change her outfit and clean the whole kitchen around her when she is done.As for Garrett pushing you away....Izzie always pushes me away! When she gets hurt I always pick her and try to hug her and she just pushes me in the chest really hard to get away! Since it is also happening to you, maybe they don't associate being hugged with being consoled at their age? I thought Izzie was also just a "hands off" baby. It makes me sad! Even when I am holding her on my lap she pushes my hands off of her not knowing that she will fall off if I don't hold her! She is a weird one. I worked on my 10 page paper all weekend and all of yesterday and I only have about 4 pages! It is taking me forever to write. I hate school officially! I don't know what I am doing! I am really questioning the fact that I am infliciting this un-necessary pain! I cannot wait until this month is over and this class is done. I am hoping I don't have 10 page papers all the time! So, it is funny that Garrett is on a protein strike! Since Izzie had the flu, she will only eat certain things. She had eaten peas and then a turkey/veggie/rice bottle of food that night she got sick and she will not eat anything like that now! She gags on anything turkey or chicken! She acts like she is dying from it! Then I tried the gross beef baby food last night mixed with sweet potatoes and she did the same thing! It sucks! I will have to try the beans. Let me know what kind you are giving him. Ahh, you get to go out of town in a couple of weeks! I am so jealous! It will be so nice and warm for your new swimsuit! No, Izzie doesn't say much either. She only says ma ma when I say it to her, and she doesn't seem to associate it with me at all. I am wondering if she is totally behind in launguage! AND she has no interest in walking. WHen I try to make her walk while holding my hands, she lets go and takes off in a crawl. She walks around the coffee table a little bit, but not much! I hope she is walking on her 1st bday- but she may not be! Do you have a party themed planned? I hope you guys didn't get sick from Garrett! Let me know how you're doing. Oh, and I ended up paying to get my chicken coop built! I couldn't get enough people to click on the damn thing!
