My profile

Hey my name is Holly. I have a 16 month daughter who is the cutest most precious girl in the world. She is such a joy and I'm so blessed to have her. We found out in June ( a day before father's day) that we will be having a second child. We are so excited to have them close in age. I am due on Feb 18th. I found out on my 17th scan that IT'S A BOY!!!! We are so excited to have one of each.

How`s my pregnancy doing? having a baby

Hi Pembles! I didn't start training my son until this Summer. He just wasn't ready=) But when he was within a week he caught on to the peeing in the toilet just fine. We were concerned because he has kidney disease and we thought it would be more difficult for him. But he's been great. I think when your daughter can pull her pants up and down and knows when she's wet or poopy and can talk to you, it'sfine to start. What I did and I think it worked, was take away the diapers altogether. And just put underwear on. Then periodically took my son to the toilet to pee. Also when he did pee in his pants I still took him to the bathroom and said next time we'll pee in the toilet. I gave him a sticker just for coming to the bathroom to try to pee. After just a few days of this his figured it out. He still has accidents of course, but the rewards just for trying helped encorage him I think for sure. Oh, also my son has some hearing difficulties and used to only speak with sign language and by reading lips, so this may have accounted for his late training. Anyway, I wish you luck as well!

Thanks for the good wishes Pembles :-) Go read week 16, there is a horrible confrontation going on between two women, yikes!! None of us needs any extra aggravation these days. If "church lady" keeps annoying you then chat on a different week's forum :-)

Oh thanks! I LOVE the name too!! Its so unique as a first name! I have seen another girl on this site who named her son Nixon but otherwise have not heard it again!

Thanks for the comment on my poll :) reason I was asking is that I am considering an elective c-section because my midwife thinks that due to the placenta being anterior and my uterus being oddly shaped that Joel is going to remain breech or transverse. I was looking for information about non emergency elective c-sections with an anterior placenta and couldn't find hardly anything about it risk wise or otherwise.. so was curious! Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment!! ..Me & my MIL did get along, BUT...my SIL started alot of crap and has somehow turned everyone against me based on her lies! So...it's a crazy situation. I haven't had any crossed words with my MIL, but she is the type of person who talks about everyone behind their back, so...you know how that goes :(
