Friday, 9 May if they decide to break your water it's not a definite that labor will come on. They will want your labor to come on in a timely manner or they will have to end up also giving Pitocin to hurry things along and prevent spread of infection. my friend had her water broke at 42 weeks by her midwife and within 30 mins she was in full blown labor and didn't need pitocin at all. Maybe you will go into labor before the need to break your water manually. Good Luck!! mfecht -

Thursday, 1 May There are tons of different descriptions of BH contractions and "real" contractions. But for me, the only difference lately has been that the BH contractions have not progressed. You are not considered to be in active labor until your contractions are about 45 seconds to 1 minute each and five minutes or less apart. Contractions before that tend to be less painful (or not painful at all), but as far along as we are, they do tend to help efface and dilate our cervix. That is why women keep posting their measurements. Not sure that helps, but just start timing your contractions when you think they are getting closer together, stronger and more consistent to figure out if they are "real" or not. xobeckyxo -
Thursday, 1 May that's such a cute story about your 5 yr old son! What a nice boy. Hopefully that continues and doesn't get the jealous streak when the new baby finally does arrive. Good Luck!
