Friday, 18 July Hi...was it Bio Oil the lady suggested you use for stretchmarks? Its an orange coloured oil thats supposed to be the best for reducing and/or getting rid of stretchmarks and scars...not sure whether it really does though but its worth a try i suppose. loveonna -
Thursday, 17 July I read your post about your baby crying. Is it after she feeds? Has she vomited or anything? What type of formula are you feeding your baby? sugarcubesandcottoncandy -
Thursday, 17 July wow. she must be comfortable after that diaper load of poop. i called my pediatrician today. he assured me it was ok for her not to poop for as long as a week.

Thursday, 17 July Congratulations!!!! When did you give birth??? We have a two-week old son now, how time flies. B-day was 7/3. Water broke like in the movies and labor was 8 hours and PAINFUL even with epidural. How was your labor and more importantly, how are YOU? 1STTIMEMOMMEE -

Wednesday, 16 July 8LBS 8OZ that is a healthy size. I am getting really excited but nervous too. I am about 95% sure I am going to do it all natural and NO EPIDERAL!! I am just going to look at it as it will be over soon. My sister tells me good luck and just wait until you are in labor. But I have a high pain tolerance. My mother had all 3 of us girls natural. If she could do it I am sure I can. I hope the lamaze classes work. But I am very determined to do it with no medication. I also spoke to several people who had their children natural. One person I spoke to on this site said she had her baby natural. By the time she wanted the epideral it was to late. I asked her if she would have her next baby natural to and she said yes. Several people had made me feel better about doing it natural. I hope I can do it though. I am sure I will. littlemissi -

Wednesday, 16 July My doc reccommended giving Kaden an oz of water a day to help stimulate the digestive system. She doesn't ususally have newborns drinking water but sometimes they just need it like we do as well. littlerpm -
Wednesday, 16 July Congratulations! Genevieve now at home tried to reply to you last week a few times but the site wouldn't let me do anything. Thoroughly enjoying baby now but Daddy off work last week and this the real test is next week when he goes back ...

Wednesday, 16 July I am doing great! I had another u/s yesterday and they said she is about 1LB 3 oz. I am going to have the 3d/4d picture next week. My friend is going to practice on me.LOL. So how much did she weigh? How long were you in labor for? Only if you don't mind me asking. You have to post a picture of your little princess. I bet she is gorgeous!! ily -
Wednesday, 16 July On where I got the vacum solution - well, I have a cousin who had twins and that was the only think that helped one of them who had colic. Then I had a friend whose baby had reflux and one of their doctor's actually suggested it as well. He said he didn't know why it worked, but it worked. I hope things have settled and your baby is doing better. 1sttimemommee -
Tuesday, 15 July Congrats!!! How are you feeling? How is your little princess doing? bexfoster -
Tuesday, 15 July yeah it helped loads, he wasn't too keen on the taste or should i say lack of taste but he drank just under an ounce of it and his poop was soft again. seems a little went a long way! Maddux -
Tuesday, 15 July Hi, my daugher had the same thing with her eye that you described. I put a warm washcloth on her eye a few times a day and wiped from the corner out and it was gone in a few days. Hang in there, it is really rough in the beginning but it does get better. My daughter is 4 months old now and all those horrible first weeks are a distant memory. Once they start eating more regularly and sleeping through the night you start to feel more human again. If you need help with anything or just want to chat I'm here :) bexfoster -
Monday, 14 July hey there, my litttle boy was a bit constipated the other day, he was pooping little hard pellets (sorry if tmi), the midwife recommended giving him a feed of cooled boiled water to soften it up. hope this helps :-) autty -
Monday, 14 July I think the pooping is normal. As long as she doesn't seem to be in pain I wouldn't worry. suzi -
Monday, 14 July is she spitting up she can have acid reflux, my daughter has it, or she is just adjusting for nine months she didnt have to do nething and now she had to learn, to eat, poop, pee and sleep all in a day, its ok Hollygirl -
Monday, 14 July I don't envy you but it's ok. It gets easier every week. You will also be hitting that lovely hormonal low that comes after having a baby form around day four. It sucks. I cried constantly. I cried because my son was in the crib and too far away from me. I'm not kidding. It's ok to be irrational right now. Get loads of help so you don't feel overwhelmed. My husband went back to work a week and a half after I got out of hospital and I didn't enjoy that at all. It's so demanding. Anyway it gets easier and much more fun. My son is now fifteen weeks old and omg such a joy. Hang in there. xo Grace -
Monday, 14 July Usually the umbilical cord stays on a couple weeks more or less. And use the bulb they gave you at the hospital and suck the mucous out of her nose, if you don't have one then you will need to get one, sometimes you have to cover one nostril while suctioning the other, but some times that's not necessary. Hope this helps, and don't worry about the umbilical cord those are tough things. and it will scare you even more when it really gets close to falling off cuz it will bleed some and it will get twisted and everything, just a warning but it's nothing to worry about. Monday, 14 July Is your babe breastfeed or formula? Have you looked into a dairy allergy? If BF you would need to eliminate dairy from your diet, if formula you might want to try the broken down protein types first, then go to soy if that doesn't help. A change in food seems to calm most fussy/colicy babies, and I see others have sugested changing sleep positions. If she is fussy after feedings and you nitice aching and a change in diet doesn't help you may want to talk to your doc about reflux... I know it is alot to take in, but your babe is young yet! Good Luck!
