My doctors always told me to not introduce babyfood unless they still seem hungry after they have a bottle. You go by your instincts. You will know when the time is right :)

OMG, fall is my absolute favorite! Especially in Michigan! I'm leaving for the weekend..going to Cedar Point on Friday. I am going to miss Ava soooooo much. I do this every year with my friends and my husband is making me go. he says I need some me time.
Ava has gained 3 pounds since she left the hospital and grew 2 inches. I think it's pretty normal, the Dr says she's right where she should be for how tall me and Wayne are!
I'm glad lyvi is ok now. It's sad when they get sick and you can't hardly do anything for them.

I cannot believe that. You should write a leader to the head of the ER department. Unacceptable. I am glad that you have a good pedi. I do wonder if she is lactose intolerant! I am glad that she is ok though!

Babe-
I would call your pedi today. Sometimes they make mistakes at the ER. When I was taken be ambulance...they sent me home with NO heart medication at all. The cardiologist could not believe it. I would not chance anything and just call your pedi and let them know what happened and you should never be treated that way!!!

Let me know how lyvi's dr's appt goes...You are a great mommy, she is very lucky to have you. Ava feels much better and she's adjusting to me being at work well. My mom is taking great care of her. She weighs 11 pds 7 ozs now! She's 23 inches long. I am starting to get sick now. It's crazy, it's in the 50's when I wake up and leave for work and then by the time I leave work it's almost 80. Sometimes living in Michigan drives me crazy!

I didn't start babyfood until he was 4.5 months. He does okay, but he has really cut down on his milk intake which bothers me a little.

My mom laughs at me because she says hes huge. I understand that...lol but I don't want him to get unhealthy.

What I have found out about having kids is . . . there is always drama!! Im sorry to hear about your crappy experience at the hospital. I have had a few as well. One time was actually after my oldest had surgery.

I hope that she is doing better.

Aww good, glad to hear she's doing better. Joey has a cold too, although I'm not sure if it's teething or not. I know that they get stuffy noses when they're teething, but not sure why! He has been teething like a monster himself. I feel so bad for him. He chomps down so hard on the icey teethers that he bends them. I have noticed what feels best for him is when I massage his gums with my own finger. That seems to calm him down.

I don't know how much he weighs, he goes again to the pedi on 10/7 so we'll find out then. He def is long and skinny, my little sting bean! He is SO cute, I have to update my page with my new pics of my little cutie! I think that when their feet start hanging off the carrier then it's time for a new one (o:

I do miss my little guy so much during the day. But I love that BIG smile I get when I pick him up. Okay I gotta get going, I'll write back later!!

Jaiden loves his crib! he sleeps in it all night and every nap is in it too..it was weird at first but he sleeps better in there so its awsome...he is just down the hall and i have a monitor so i feel comfortable.

Does she sleep in bed with you or is she in a crib? jaiden is in a crib in his own room... it was weird at first but he adjusted very well....when he was one montha nd under he slept in bed with me from one month to two months he was in a bassinet and at three months he went to his crib and has been there ever since.

Geeesh..those doctors really suck...how could they send in a reg. doc??? Thank heaven there wasn't anything seriously wrong with the lil princess =/ What you explained did sound to me like she might have had something in her throat that made her gag that way. When it comes to nursing I have no clue *LOL* but spitting up and gaging is freakishly scary when you dont really know what the cause is! Those gas-drops were Bryce's best friend as a baby and they do work for fuzziness and a hard tummy.
I'm sure it was just an episode...like you said but if you feel like she has a runny nose or too much mucus...then definitely act on your instinct hunny, those suck-it-out things work or ask her doc for a prescription! Better save than sorry right =}

Oh, I'm so sorry. I can't believe they just said it was gas. It sounds like maybe she is congested and has a bit of a cold. Does she sound croupy? If her flem is running down the back of her throat and into her tummy it would make her sick to her stomach. Did you try to give her some water in her bottle? Maybe that would help to clear her flem before you feed her. My pediatrician said it’s ok for a baby to have up to 4 oz's of water a day. I would give her some water to clear her throat then try to breast feed. Try to treat her cold as best you can. They stopped selling infant cold medication Jan. 2008 so keep her inside and if you take her out bundle her up. I know your in Michigan and so am I so I know it's been really chilly in the mornings. Ava had a bit of a cold last week. She had a slight fever, cough, and she was sneezy. I kept giving her tylenol when she got really cranky. She's better now. I hope this helps, keep me updated, and give Aylvia a kiss for me!

my god girlie what a night! i hope alyvia is feeling better! i would def get a second opinion if you don't agree with what the doctor said. call her pedi tomorrow first thing and get her in to see him/her!

how is everything else going? joey is doing great. i can't believe how much he has changed and how much he does now it's so much fun! life has been pretty crazy sinc i started back to work 8/25 but we're all doing just fine (O;
