MY STORY

I am pregnant for the third time this year. I had a m/c seven years ago, had a perfect pregnancy and gave birth to a beatiful girl five years ago and have had two m/c (one in Feb 08 and one in May 08). I found out on August 22 that I am pregnant for the third time this year alone. My husband are both excited and scared. We have decided not to tell any family or friends until we are past the first trimester. The Dr's ran some tests after my third miscarriage and could not find a reason as to why I could not stay pregnant. I am in constant fear of "losing" this baby. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers!!

I totally understand what you are going through. I also had a miscarriage about 5 years ago and 2 misscarriages this year. 1 in May and 1 in July. My husband and I do not have any children yet, but are really excited and scared because I am now 8 weeks and 2 days and feel the same fear. I will be praying for you and your husband....

Our pregnancies are so close in dates. I started week 6 on fri 5th sep.
It seems so different in America, i see that women are having blood tests so early, to check hormone levels. Over here you are left alone until about wk 8-10 We dont get blood tests for hormones . Just checks for hep B etc.

i will watch your and other women's progress who are near to my dates. Its interesting to see other peoples take on their pregnancies..

i totally understand where you are right now. i too am pregnant for the third time this year... had a m/c in oct 07 and in jan 08 most devastating experience of mine and my husbands lives. i'm so scared. i am currently 5 weeks and 6 days. we haven't told anyone this time and wont till the 2nd trimester. i will keep you in my thoughts, good luck honey and if you need to talk i am a good listener!

i just joined last week after having found out that i was pregnant i am 5wks 4days. i had a m/c in Nov 07 and it was the most devastating thing to have happened to me , it was planned and had never had a m/c before so it was a shock.

I feel that there really is nothing you can do about your bodies processes. It is a very hard thing for your body to stay pregnant, it's just a fact. maybe i am just too logical a thinker.
On a positive note as soon as the egg attaches and implants deep into the lining of your uterus, the chance of m/c lesson and by week 12 your chances of m/c lesson by 65%.

This is the reason why your clinic does not routinely scan until 12 wks. I am only going by procedures in England.

Just be positive and try to relax only that is easier said than done. I have told my children already and am happy to tell every one else. my philosophy is if the worst thing happens everyone will wonder what the hell is wrong with me so i will have to tell them any way but in hindsight. I cannot keep it in.

i am not even going to have a scan as it will not change the outcome.
I think now adays we are far too pre-occupied with knowing so much about our bodies that we forget about our spirituality, and i dont mean religion.

Please try not to worry too much and just enjoy what is happening to your body at this moment in time.

I have a similar story to yours! March of '07 and November of '07 I had m/c's and I totally understand how u feel right now! I have a 6 year old daughter and that pregnancy couldn't have went better! Now I am in my fourth pregnancy and 32 weeks in and again this pregnancy has been great! But hubby and I waited til about 13 weeks to tell most of the family! Them were the longest weeks of the pregnancy, now I sit here and think as soon as 6 weeks I could be holding my new healthy baby girl! My dr. put me on progesterone early in this pregnancy!! seen your comment...i had a miscarriage in febuary of this year so the feeling you are having i am having to..i get blood work tomorrow to see if my levels have went up from last week..so my fingers are crossed..and ill keep them crossed for you A:-)

Happened to see your comment and I just wanted to let you know to stay positive! I had three miscarriages (Oct 07, Jan 07 and Apr 08) and I'm now 22 weeks pregnant! It's true that the m/c's take a toll on you, but when you have one that sticks nothing else seems to matter!
