So, I had my first OB appointment yesterday. I have gained 17 pounds, which seems like a lot to me, but she said it's good. I had low blood pressure for a while but as of yesterday it was ok again. I heard the heartbeat for the first time! It was AWESOME!! I cried and everything. I felt kind of weird but I'm sure I'm not the first person to cry! The heartbeat was 160 bpm, which is pretty fast. Supposedly that's supposed to mean I'm having a girl, but I don't really believe all that stuff. It just seems like wives tales to me. I'll find out on June 10 at the ultrasound for sure! But overall, it was a great appointment, and I left the office very happy! I hop they all go so well! :o)

Second OB appointment today! Heartbeat was 153 bpm this time, a little slower! Everything is measuring right for my dates, so, so far so good! Jarret went with me this time, and heart the heartbeat for the first time. He was amazed, and now he is convinced we are having a helicopter because he thinks that was what it sounded like! LOL! Next thing is the Ultrasound on June 10!

It's a Boy!!! He was pretty difficult for the tech, but she got everything she needed! But when she brought Jarret in, and showed him to us, he was very mobile, and not at all shy about showing us his little doodle! :o) Very excited! I think Jarret wanted a boy, even tho he wouldn't admit it! And I didn't really care either way! He was measuring 19 weeks 1 day, which was only 2 days off what we thought. Not really worth changing my due date for 2 days! :o) He is 10 ounces, and his legs are really long! I think he's going to be tall like his daddy! :o) Pictures to come!!

These baby appointments are becoming pretty boring! It's just business as usual, which is good I guess because it means everything is good! The heartbeat was 156 bpm this time! Whoever said that high heartbeats meant girls was sadly mistaken! The only thing that happened there this time was that I was given a form to go get some more blood taken! YIPEE!! *LOL* But next time around won't be so easy for the doc because I got a whole list of new questions! *LOL*

Back to the doctor today! I can't believe this, but they still haven't recieved any results for my prenatal bloodwork that has been done twice now! I told her that there is no way I am going back a third time! Other than that, all is well! Heartbeat is 153 bpm and I'm measuring right on schedule. I've gained 6 more pounds for a grand total of 40! Sounds like a lot but I was so tiny before that I needed about 20 of those pounds whether I was pregnant or not! I'm still only 145! She also told me that if I deliver when I am supposed to, he should be approximately 7.5 pounds, and he is in a head down position now! His feet are on the top left, back is on the right, and head down! Everything is the way it should be, I feel great (fat, but great!), so I'm happy! :o)

Went for my first 2 week appointment! Heartbeat was 153 bpm again! Seems like almost every time I go, it's at 153! Gained 4 more pounds, for a total of 44 pounds! I'm a big fatty! She never mentioned my prenatal bloodwork this time so I'm assuming it all came back this time! Finally! Time is getting short now! 8 weeks!

My little man was very active today! His heartbeat was 170 bpm! I couldn't believe it! And I have gained 4 more pounds! Honestly, it feels like I'm going to have to be lifted out of my house with a crane if this weight gain doesn't slow down! Only one more 2 week appointment, and then on to the 1 weekers! YAY!!!
