Some stages of my growing belly!
I am pregnant with boy number two. I am due April 7th. My doctor is telling me I will deliver early. So I am thinking an Easter baby if I even make it that far. I have an almost 5 year old boy now, who is very excited.
Just a little bit about my first pregnancy...My AFP test came back twice high. That was very scary because my husbands sister has Spina Bifida. I went through a detailed Ultra and I got the Amino done. Everything was fine. I was told that my belly was measuring small about 28/30 weeks and I had to go for another Ultrasound. The baby was the right size. I am 6ft tall and skinny. (well was) so I have a long torso for the baby to hide in. I was put on full bedrest at 32 weeks because they found out I was already dialated. Every week after that I was another cenimeter dialated. I was taken off bedrest at 34 weeks because they said if I have the baby at that point they won't stop it. I made it to 38 weeks. My water broke at 9am on MEMORIAL DAY (thank God everyone was home, LOL). I started having contractions 15mins later and when I got to the hospital they said I was 7 cen and they could make me 10 if I wanted to start pushing. HA HA HA Well I pushed for an hour AFTER I got my meds and he was born at 1:34pm. So not a long labor at all
My doctor tells me I won't be in labor more then 20 mins which really scares me. We live about 20 mins from the hospital. She said I will sneeze and he will come out. Needless to say I actually try NOT to sneeze now. LOL I was taken off of work because of how far down the baby is. I am taking it day by day. Something I don't remember with my first is the baby kicking in my crouch so much and being able to feel it. Also, my pelvis hurting just crossing my legs is getting old.
A little bit about my family and I. My husband and I got married when my son was 1yr old. My husband was in the Army at that time and he served a year in Iraq. Now that he is out of the Army we moved back to our home state MD from TX. We bought our first house in November of '06. I was working at the MVA and he now works for SSA. We are very excited about this new baby coming and it feels like we are starting all over. For now that's about all I will write...

Well I went to the doctors today. She said I made her very happy I gained another 5 pounds. I need to lay off the brownies!! LOL She didn `t do an internal this time but next time she will. She told me I need to start taking extra Iron. I am already constipated and now I need more iron. UGH!!!Wednesday, 5 Mar
I went to the doctor today and she said I was 60% effaced and about 1/2 cent. I guess I am getting close. She gave me until 37 weeks to have this baby! I had my son about 38 weeks so we will see. AHHHHHFriday, 21 Mar
Just an update from Tuesday..My doctor said I was a good two centimeters and 70% effaced. Already engaged. I ained two pounds. None the week before so I guess that is okay. She said I won `t make it to 40 weeks. We will see. I have been going through losing my plug the past couple days and BH on an off. Just hoping it will be any day now. Full Moon tonight! Went to the doctors today and my doctor said I didn `t dialate any more. I am still two centimeters but the killer was I gained 3lbs. She said that if I am still there next week that she can induce me if I want! Damn it I don `t want to be induced. I want him out now. So many of you are having your babies and I thought I was going a couple weeks ago and now I feel like I am going backwards.Saturday, 29 Mar
So last night I had contractions and this morning and all day I have had the `bloody show ` going on. Other then that I am just hoping I go soon like tonight maybe! LOLTuesday, 1 Apr
Well I went to the doctors today the baby is well on his way. I am dialated a good 5 centimeters almost 6. I am also 80% effaced. She stripped my membranes. She said all I need is for the water to break. She wanted me to be induced tomorrow because she doesn `t think I will make it any longer then that but there was no opening. So then it was Thursday again another women was father along that wanted that time and day so I am scheduled for Friday at 8am. She said she really doubts I will make it to Friday, let alone through the night! We will see!!!! Wish me luck!!!! Oh and that crazy nurse said I gained 5lbs. HA HA HA The little do dad thing was in the middle and she kept moving it over. She don't know what she was talking anout. Congratulations on your little one! I read that your epi ran out? Wow, very brave....I delt with 2 hours of contractions at 5 cm and i couldn't handle it...the epi was my savior and especially after being in labor for 20+ hours!

omg! that is crazy how close our story is and they were born on the same day! Congratulations! I am sorry your epi ran out also. That pain is intense, right? I never thought I would ever know what that felt like. ha ha ha did you tear or get an episiotomy?

hi, i had my baby! he is too cute, but daxn, he kicked my butt getting here. The doc started to induce me at 6am on april 2nd. i got stuck at 5-6cm dilated at 7pm. We negotiated a compromise on what positions we would try and what time we would just go to an emergency c sect, which would be around 1:30am on april 3rd if no change. It was back labor, he was posterior, and stuck in my canal. His heartrate dipped and even disappeared so was very stressful. The epi ran out at 6cm and I found myself laboring and pushing with no meds! I yelled as I pushed that I would never do this shxt again!!! I felt much better once he was out and am thankful my doc allowed me time to try to get him out vaginally. Will talk later.

I hope you had your baby! I went to the dr. yesterday and I was still only 1 cm. It is frustrating! I haven't been able to get on here because of them changing it. Best wishes. I am so happy for you! Hope everything went well.

Thanks for the advice. The only problem is that my MIL lives with us right now and she is sleeping right below my bf and I. This makes it a little hard to have sex never mind lots of it. Maybe, we'll have to stay up really late and hope she doesn't wake.lol. Doctor says the baby is super low and its really just waiting for something to happen. Thats good news I guess. Thanks again.

wow, i cannot believe they wait so late to admit you. that is crazy. i want an epidural at 3, not 5 or 6cm. plus, some women may go from 6-10 in minutes. oh well, you are very close.

whoa! how are you so dilated and they have not finished it off already? our doctors here don't have you walking around that dilated. it is just too risky cause you can drop that baby anywhere. how exciting though. i called the hospital and right now, they have room so we will see for me tomorrow.

you have to eat 7 whole fresh pineappples to have any effect. It just helps effacement.. I started to eat it and loved it, but the thought of eating 7 was too much lol!

as a mother of 2 so far, I agree with your post. I don't use sleepers though. I use the nightgown with the onesie under, booties, hat, and a receiving blanket. I use the gown cause all those snaps drive me nuts when I have to change about 30 diapers a day. ha ha ha... Anyway, I am with you regarding the couples way to get the baby out. I was induced with my other two so I guess I will not ever know what it is like to naturally progress.

My first, a boy too, was born at 38 weeks. So I thought for sure I would have had my second by now, everyone was positive two weeks ago I would have the baby any minute, she even dropped about five weeks ago. But no such luck, no signs of labor coming on at all and I feel less likely to have the baby now than I did two weeks ago. This waiting is killing me.

Huh, they are all the same. Since i have been off on Mat leave for the past three weeks he says something everyday about must be nice to to able to stay at home and do nothing while i am off making all of the money! Grrr. He is just 'kidding' but i know deep down they believe a part of it or they would not say it. Anyways I don't care. I might only be taking in EI but at least I am making something and I am staying at home cooking his meals and cleaning his dirty messes. Oh well, I read im what you wrote and he laughed and said, 'I like this guy' :P What a loser...

ha ha ha... that's too funny. my ex just picked up my 2 kids a couple hours ago for the rest of the weekend and i was so happy. i don't know what i was thinking cause now this one will stay when i did get a break, which is the only highlight to divorces. ha ha ha... oh well, i will keep you posted and you do the same.

I don't know why I am still working. Maybe I will just call in Monday that I am done. It has been a crampy weekend so far so my mood won't be great anyway. ha ha ha... I am letting my husband sleep right now and then I plan to try walking myself. I hope we have these babies tomorrow. ha ha ha
