Some stages of my growing belly!
I am pregnant with boy number two. I am due April 7th. My doctor is telling me I will deliver early. So I am thinking an Easter baby if I even make it that far. I have an almost 5 year old boy now, who is very excited.
Just a little bit about my first pregnancy...My AFP test came back twice high. That was very scary because my husbands sister has Spina Bifida. I went through a detailed Ultra and I got the Amino done. Everything was fine. I was told that my belly was measuring small about 28/30 weeks and I had to go for another Ultrasound. The baby was the right size. I am 6ft tall and skinny. (well was) so I have a long torso for the baby to hide in. I was put on full bedrest at 32 weeks because they found out I was already dialated. Every week after that I was another cenimeter dialated. I was taken off bedrest at 34 weeks because they said if I have the baby at that point they won't stop it. I made it to 38 weeks. My water broke at 9am on MEMORIAL DAY (thank God everyone was home, LOL). I started having contractions 15mins later and when I got to the hospital they said I was 7 cen and they could make me 10 if I wanted to start pushing. HA HA HA Well I pushed for an hour AFTER I got my meds and he was born at 1:34pm. So not a long labor at all
My doctor tells me I won't be in labor more then 20 mins which really scares me. We live about 20 mins from the hospital. She said I will sneeze and he will come out. Needless to say I actually try NOT to sneeze now. LOL I was taken off of work because of how far down the baby is. I am taking it day by day. Something I don't remember with my first is the baby kicking in my crouch so much and being able to feel it. Also, my pelvis hurting just crossing my legs is getting old.
A little bit about my family and I. My husband and I got married when my son was 1yr old. My husband was in the Army at that time and he served a year in Iraq. Now that he is out of the Army we moved back to our home state MD from TX. We bought our first house in November of '06. I was working at the MVA and he now works for SSA. We are very excited about this new baby coming and it feels like we are starting all over. For now that's about all I will write...

Well I went to the doctors today. She said I made her very happy I gained another 5 pounds. I need to lay off the brownies!! LOL She didn `t do an internal this time but next time she will. She told me I need to start taking extra Iron. I am already constipated and now I need more iron. UGH!!!Wednesday, 5 Mar
I went to the doctor today and she said I was 60% effaced and about 1/2 cent. I guess I am getting close. She gave me until 37 weeks to have this baby! I had my son about 38 weeks so we will see. AHHHHHFriday, 21 Mar
Just an update from Tuesday..My doctor said I was a good two centimeters and 70% effaced. Already engaged. I ained two pounds. None the week before so I guess that is okay. She said I won `t make it to 40 weeks. We will see. I have been going through losing my plug the past couple days and BH on an off. Just hoping it will be any day now. Full Moon tonight! Went to the doctors today and my doctor said I didn `t dialate any more. I am still two centimeters but the killer was I gained 3lbs. She said that if I am still there next week that she can induce me if I want! Damn it I don `t want to be induced. I want him out now. So many of you are having your babies and I thought I was going a couple weeks ago and now I feel like I am going backwards.Saturday, 29 Mar
So last night I had contractions and this morning and all day I have had the `bloody show ` going on. Other then that I am just hoping I go soon like tonight maybe! LOLTuesday, 1 Apr
Well I went to the doctors today the baby is well on his way. I am dialated a good 5 centimeters almost 6. I am also 80% effaced. She stripped my membranes. She said all I need is for the water to break. She wanted me to be induced tomorrow because she doesn `t think I will make it any longer then that but there was no opening. So then it was Thursday again another women was father along that wanted that time and day so I am scheduled for Friday at 8am. She said she really doubts I will make it to Friday, let alone through the night! We will see!!!! Wish me luck!!!! Oh and that crazy nurse said I gained 5lbs. HA HA HA The little do dad thing was in the middle and she kept moving it over. She don't know what she was talking anout. Crying wolf? Every day I say, this is the day, and every day I pray to God to give me one more day because I forgot to do something in preparation. Every Friday I say I'm having my baby this weekend, and every Monday I come back to work PREGNANT. LOL! I'm a Hot mess!

As far as I've ever read, it's fine to have sex unless your water actually breaks. I've never seen anything about not having it after you lose your plug. I've always not lost mine until I was in labor, so I can't really say from experience on that one. Good luck!

hey again, well i went in, they put me on a monitor and a consultant came and checked me over. he said that i either have an upset stomach (cramps and diarrohea) or it could be the start of labour. he said that the baby is fine and would be fine if she was to come now. so i have to just wait and see!

thank you! I have called my midwife and i have to go up to the hospital for them to check me over in an hour. I am scared and nervous but a little excited too. Worried that Im only 35 weeks and a 3 days though that it's too soon for her!

You might want to ask the doctor about the spotting blood thing. It could be happening for all kinds of reasons. Now if it has a brownish red color and is more like discharge that is probably the mucus plug. Yea I dont remember my mucus plug from my first pregnancy at all.
BUt yea the crouch pain is TERRIBLE! But it goes away after forever...haha, as long as Im not up walking around and such. But I really feel like she is going to fall out sometimes and what not.
How are you feeling over all?

The nurse said you can leave the pad on for a few minutes at a time. That really does help. You can put it between your legs -or on your leg wherever you have the pain. She did not want it on me all day however.

My boy had the hiccups for 45 mins this morning. Sometimes it bothers me cause its nonstop and i'm trying to do something and all i feel is these little bumps. LOL How do u know that i'm more like 35/36 weeks?

Tahts what everyone on here has said so far I have a dr appointment in a few hours so I will tell him about everything then. I didnt even think of that because my blood pressure has been so good through the entire pregnancy but thank you so much i appreciate it :D

My pain has lasted for weeks too. I think I just got used to it. A heating pad helped a little.

it's SUCH a horrible feeling...it's pelvic pain:( i read online when you sit for a long period of time, try to get up and walk around and then sit down...you shouldnt sit in the same position. it sucks!

I have never had RLS before but sometimes now my legs just don't stop. I HATE falling asleep at night because the urge to move my legs can be overwhelming. I hope it goes away when the baby comes... good luck :-)

I am having the same pain I think...it almost feels like it is in that ligament where your upper thigh ends and 'private parts' begin...it is a shooting pain that almost knocks me on my butt...I have tried to explain this to my Dr. twice now and she keeps saying its ligament pain...but I dont feel like she is understanding what I am saying...UGH!! It is so annoying...
