I was 17 years old when I had my first child, a boy, Jareth! He is my world and saved my life!! When I was 22 I had my 2nd child, a girl, Kaelyn! She is the sweetest (yet cheekiest) little thing. I am now 24 and pregnant with baby #3.... which is a true miracle and fighter.

Here is my story about baby #3...
I found out I was pregnant again on November 13th. Big suprise but it was all good.... On christmas night we had to go to the hosptial because I was spotting and cramping. The attending doc. gave me an emergency u/s and said "I think I see something but I'm not 100% come back tomorrow for a true u/s".

So I went back on boxing day and got the u/s. Then went back to emerg. to get the results. There WAS a sac with a 3mm embryo in it but it was too small to see if there was a heartbeat or not, So I was to return again in 1 week (Jan. 2nd/08)

I went back and had my 3rd u/s... bad news... there was no fetal growth and there was no heartbeat. So again, we had to go to emerg. but now it was to see what was to happen next.

The attending OB/GYN did not want to do a D&C, Christ she didn't even examine or see me!! She relayed msg's through the ER doctor.... Instead she gave me a prescription for 8 pills (Misprostol) that would put me into "labour". I was to take 4 pills vag. and if nothing happened in 24h I was to repeat.

So home I went and inserted these pills the next morning. Corey didn't like the fact that they came with no info so he took the remaining pills to a pharmacy to get info. the pharmacist looked at the pills and said "She's supposed to take these vag.? They're NOT FDA approved in Canada to take them that way... These are stomach ulcer pills..."

So I freaked out and called my family dr. but couldn't see him till 2:30 (this is now Jan 3rd. also Jareth's birthday)

But it was too late. at approx. 1:10pm it started... I felt a big gush of blood so I ran to the bathroom.... It was horrible!! It was supposed to be a happy day! It was my son's 6th B-day!!



So on Monday Feb 11th, I went to my family doctor because I hadn't had any bleeding since. He booked me for an u/s for Friday the 15th.
When I went into the u/s room I told the technologist what happened. She scanned my belly for a couple minutes and asked, "Is it ok if you're still pregnant?".... I was stunned and asked, "WHAT?! I'm Pregnant AGAIN!?!?!?"
She said "No, you're STILL pregnant! You have a 13 1/2 week baby in there!"
I WAS IN SHOCK!!

This little baby is a true miracle to have survived through everything it survived through. The pills and all the trauma of everything!! It sure is a Survivor!!
