Monday, 29 September Do you have pain when you pee? I never heard of that. I'm sure you are used to it now but I would be very worried if I peed blood...I saw you added pictures of your man and you. You make a nice couple. I hope he can get it together :) 2b -

Saturday, 27 September if you plan to breast feed especially, I would avoid taking any type of diet pills. you need an extra 700 calories per day when you are breast feeding, 700 on top of a your regular non-pregnant diet. WHen you get pregnant, you need an additional 400 calories and then breastfeeding, 300 on top of that. If you do not eat well, then your milk has a lower fat content and baby get more hungry (will feed more and will not be satisfied). You will loose weight quite fast after delivery, and if after 4 months post birth you are still not loosing weight, then you should look at your diet and exercise as your first choice for 'dieting.' If you need help with that, i can give you some advice on what to eat as well or some examples of easy to prepare menus. I've never believed that diet pills are healthy for you- i'm more of a believer that its better to watch what you eat and try to be physically fit. rvblessed -
Friday, 26 September OMG! Im so sorry you lost your job. Its really not a good time to go without... Trust me i know. I had to ask for extentions on a couple of bills. It will take us at least a month before we get caught up again. Until then im just taking it easy and not stressing to much. Ive been keeping the people in galveston in my prayers. Its really hard to watch it on the news. Its like watching a movie. 2b -
Friday, 26 September AHHHH I'm so excited for you!! Are you getting nervous?? Why are they going to induce you?? Everything ok? Debra -
Friday, 26 September most hospitals will let you be in the shower or tub- as long as you dont' have a catheter or epidural yet. The hot water does feel really nice. I'll be with you in spirit! Just let me know when your contractions start and I'll think all kinds of good thoughts and pray for you!!! *norma* -

Thursday, 25 September how many do you want? Besides your personal team- your partner or who ever else you want to be there- there will likely be a doctor and a nurse. THere is potential for others though- 2nd float nurses, students- these people you have control over for the most part and you can make a request to have as little people in the room as possible. Honestly, I had my mom, sister, husband, midwife there with me. Also there was hospital staff nurse, and Obstetrician and pediatrician that came in when my water broke and the baby's meconium (poo) came out. I was naked and did no in way care that they were there. My midwife tried to cover me up 'for modesty" and I kicked off the blankets immediately. I was soo hot. I don't think I would have cared if there were a million people were in the room- so long that they were quiet and didn't annoy me

There is such a thing- I think though that if having an orgasm is feeling complete pleasure and amazement coursing through your body, then Yes, birth can be the same thing. I enjoyed labour. Was it painful still? yes, but it made me feel soooo powerful and alive! 2b -
Thursday, 25 September Oh momma I didn't realize you were in TX...You and the family ok?? That must have been so scary. I can't wait to hear about your shower!!! How does the doctor know the date exactly?? Debra -
Thursday, 25 September I'm glad! How did your due date change? or are they inducing you early b/c of your kidneys? Yah- when I first got the book from a friend- i thought... "hippies- what do they know about birth?" I don't want to read a book written by hippies. Then i started reading it and just kept turning the pages! she knows what she's talking about! But the biggest thing that struck me was about our perception of birth- that it must be painful because everyone has horror stories. So not true. If you believe you can do it, you can! You can choose to go through life miserable, or you can have a good life- same goes for birth! You can make or break the outcome! Still, in my case I ended up with the C/s- but the labour- it wasn't that bad! and I think if I had walked more, I would have progressed even faster. *norma* -
