HI EVERYONE!!

My name is Penny :) I am from Virginia Beach, VA but currently reside on the tropical island of Okinawa, Japan with my dog Roxanne, my husband Tom, and my beautiful daughter Talia. Tom is in the U.S. Marine Corps and we will be stationed here until his contract expires in 2009. We've made a home together since I was only 16, he put me through college, went to bootcamp himself, and in the mix of all this we somehow managed to get married in September of 2005. After trying for almost a year we were able to acheive our greatest sucess together -- making a baby! Our little Talia Rose was born on March 12, 2008 and brings me more joy than my poor heart can hold!

I guess you could say life is pretty good :)

I don't really update this page as much as I should, but you can always see our latest pictures on my MySpace @ www.myspace.com/satisfaxonjaxon .

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Thanks for the response! And you reminded me that I forgot to take my pill tonight!!! Geeze maybe this isn't a good option for me!

You can start cereal whenever you want. It is not harmful to the baby. Doctors perscribe it sometimes at 2 weeks for babies with reflux. They wouldnt perscribe it if it was harmful. Go for it!

We did have some constipation issues after starting solids. Make sure you add it to her diet very gradually. start it very liquidy and slowly increase the amount so her body can learn to process the heavier food. A tiny bit of watered down apple juice will do wonders if she does get blocked up

if she is eating every hour I say start cereal! Haveing a baby attached to you literally al day long, YUCK! I started my first a week before 4 months and she's not allergic to anything at all. I'd say your close enough and she is clearly needing something more substancial. I could see holding off on baby foods and stuff but are there really that many instances of allergies from starting them on plain rice cereal early? I try to follow my pediatricians advice for the most part but there are times when I go with instinct instead of what he says. Since I have 5 children I know him quite well and he knows that I'm a rule breaker :-) We usually discuss what rules I'm breaking and why and that's one he has never put up a fuss over so I don't think it would be too dangerous.

Hi!! Gosh put you have a GORGEOUS family. Daughter and husband if I may say so ... The period every 3 weeks will pass. They say it takes at least 6 months for your body to return to "normal" after you've had a baby.

Some advice ... don't wait too long like I did before you have the second one. My oldest is 5 and she's really struggling to get used to not being the only child anymore. I think the right age for the first one is about a year and a half before you fall pregnant again. That way they're still friends and the first one doesn't find it THAT hard to cope with little brother/sister.

I only miss it in away. I love the way it looked but I had a terrible pregnancy the whole way through....I don't miss that at all.

My last two babies used NUK nipples with success. My first would not take a bottle or pacifier. My second would take anything from the very start: bottle, breast, pacifier and thumb. My little one now will take a bottle if she is hungry enough. She also gags on the nipple at first. For her, I think it just feels very different from the breast. She has latched on a few times and downed 3-4 oz with no problem after the initial minute or so of gagging and spitting out the milk. Also, you might want to have someone else try feeding her the bottle. She knows you have the "real thing" and might hold out on you. I'd just keep trying every day or so and be persistent. Good luck!

Hi There....just thought id let you know that i bottle fed my little girl from the start, and i use "Tommee Tippee" botttles.. the teat is very similar to a nipple and short and extremely flexible, also supposed to be anti- colic...my baby also gagged on normal teats when i tried her on them once. Hope this helps.. Take Care..

thanks so much for the advice i tried it about 5min ago when i went and it helped soo much! I also increased my h2o intake i usually drink about 6 glasses a day but now i do 1 with each feeding and 1 with each of my meals and it seamed to make the urine it self less potent. Thanks again for the help!
