Hello everyone, this page is new to me but I love it. I am pregnant with my second baby. My first is 6 years old from a previous marriage. My hubby and I got married in April of this year and are soooooo excited to find out that our baby is on the way. Baby due 6/7/08 my daughter's birthday is 6/6/01. Funny!! I am from PA, and currently working as a teaching aide mostly because it's the only schedule that works with my daughter's school schedule but after a few weeks of working there I love it, great experience. Anyone with info or advise is welcome to share. Good Luck to everyone with their babies. :-)

Saturday, 10 Nov

So I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and saw a blob with a heart beat, which was great to see the heart beating but a little disconcerning to see a blob instead of anything resembling a baby. Two days ago I had another ultrasound and saw a head, arms, and legs. The little guy was very busy in there and looked to be doing the cha-cha. It was so amazing! The doctor said he doesn't measure the heart rate yet just checks to be sure that it's strong. I would kind of like to know how fast it is but probably next visit. I don't know why it's such a big deal to let me know but who cares for now everything looks perfect.

Monday, 10 Dec

Had my 14 week check up today and hear the little one's heart beat. I've seen it on the ultrasounds eariler but never heard it. Was amazing! About 150 BPM. Little one growing well, so am I! LOL Gained 4 pounds to my suprise, I thought I only gained 1 or 2 but not complaining. I wanted to set up the 20 week ultrasound for next month to find out what it is. I can't stant this suspense, I'm not good with suprises at all. Well anyway the Dr. said he thought the next scan would be around 28 WEEKS since everything looked good on the last two ultrasounds. I am trying to talk my husband into a 3D scan. He agreed but didn't exactly let me know it's ok to call to make the appt for Jan yet. Oh well if that's the least of my worries I am one lucky mommie! Oh and I've been feeling the little flutters the past few days also. I mentioned that to the Dr. and he said of course it's possible considering it's my second and I am a fairly thin person!

Had our 18 week ultrasound today was sooooo amazing! Saw our little one getting in trouble, the tech wanted to take pictures of the head and face and she wouldn't put her little hands down away from her face. The ultrasound tech then shook my belly to try to get her to move. That worked for like 30 seconds then she put them right back in front of her face. I personally am SHOCKED that it's a girl. I thought for sure this baby was a boy. I think I am still trying to let it sink in. We are very happy and blessed to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl on her way.

March 20, 2008- Went for my first steriod shot today, just in case Morgan comes early like her sister did. That freakin thing hurt and burned for like a hour afterward. The best part is... I go back tomorrow for another one : ( . Lil Morgan is doing great though, her last ultrasound she weighed in at 2 pounds 11 ounces at 27weeks. We have our 3D/4D scheduled for 4/3/08 and we can't wait to see what she looks like. I feel like we are cheating, looking in on her and all. Her nursery is coming along but still needs to be painted and have the boarder put up. The shower is 4/5/08 so guess we should get busy before the shower.

Ugh that is really disapointing and frustrating. I would feel like they were toying with me, I already feel like a kid counting down the days to go to disney world let alone for them to change the day without even giving you a 24 hour notice. I'm sorry but I hope things look better at the end of the week. Best of Luck

cali.momma - Monday, 19 May
im shocked too! especially that im going onto week 3 past when they thought she would be here. its pretty amazing tho. but im DEFINATELY ready for her to be out. the past 4 or 5 days have been a real strain on my body. these contractions are getting too intense. id rather have them come and get harder, then bam shes here, than my body freak out, and i wake up the next day babyless..its starting to REALLY suck! lol

blood loss but i am doing better this afternoon and so is baby.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather, I lost mine towards the beginning of my pregnancy.

I will be 38 weeks tomorrow so a amnio is not necessary, plus, my Dr. considers 37 weeks ful term anyway. I have been bouncing on my exercise ball like crazy to get this little one to drop as much as possible in hopes of a speedy delivery! Good luck with everything, I will be watching for pictures of your little one as well!!!

mommablom - Sunday, 18 May
I hope mine comes nice & quick too!!! My first once came pretty quick, had a fairly easy labor & delivery & they say the second is easier so I am keeping my fingers crossed! Have you been having regular contractions or anyhing? I have had a few really intense ones, just nothing really regular since my false labor last week. YAY for tuesday though, GOOD LUCK!!!!!

MissDestiny - Wednesday, 14 May
Actually yes the baby can move back up. But at a certain point you uterous actually changes shape, and gets longer and more narrow, I guess it encourages baby to get in position for birth. Usually once that happens, baby engages and stays low. But a baby can 'drop' before then, not as low, and still be able to get out of position again. I can't remember where I read this from, it might have been at babycenter.com, just another one of those things I've learned from obsessive reading over 27 months of pregnancy! lol. Hope it helps! I get that feeling too, where it feels like baby'h head is forging through! But then the next day, I'm fine again... another one of those pregnancy things that keeps you guessing lol. Oh if you have a youtube account, there is a good digital animation of the process, the uterous and baby dropping. I can't remember exactly what it is called but I'm pretty sure if you type in the keywords "dilation and effacement", you'll find it.

MissDestiny - Monday, 12 May
Well call me overly curious, but before I ever had a baby, I felt my cervix, because I wanted to know what it felt like lol. And when It is completely untouched, before having a baby, it basically feels like the head of a penis... It's rounded, sortof long (not as long as a penis), maybe 3cm long, and it has a little hole in the end of it much like the peehole of a penis. Anyways, I think after you have delivered a baby, it never really gets as firm or perfectly rounded again, it's sortof more mushy and textured. But when I checked mine, it had a thick layer of soft flesh all over it, kinda felt like if you scratched it, you'd scratch a layer of "soggy skin" off. And yeah it is kinda just a hole. I couldn't reach very far into the hole, but i could feel the edges of the opening and could definately tell that my finger was inside it. A good way to tell how close baby is to coming is to take note of how far your doc is reaching to check your cervix. If he seems to be really trying to get back there, then baby's probably -3 to -5 station still. But when baby is 0 station or better, the doc barely needs to reach to tell you what your cervix is doing, because baby's head is pushing it so far down. I know this because I remember with my last two, when he finally decided to strip my membranes for me, he said it was a good time to do it because the baby was engaged, and he didn't have to reach as far as he had been in my earlier appointments. Hope this helps! And BTW, I've read in a few different books and articles that If you or your hubby wants to, you can actually practice "cervical massage" where you insert two fingers (on a VERY clean hand) and just try to rub the outside of the cervix. I've never tried it, but I guess it helps to soften it faster. I've also heard of people stripping their own membranes, but my doc is willing to do it for me, so I haven't tried that either. I do know that you simply put a finger inside the openeing of your cervix, and basically just wipe the inner walls to try and loosen the mucous plug. Holy crap. I'm no doctor and I wrote allot here. Don't hold me accountable, these are just things that I have picked up on through my pregnancies. lol have fun & good luck!

stschopp - Monday, 12 May
Thanks! Its just scary to feel like that - like somethings off. Out of the blue. Its my second baby but its a boy and the 1st a girl and they are TOTALLY different! I didn't know you could get the naseau this far into it! Its nice to know atleast its not just me! Happy Mother's Day to you too! Thanks!!

janessa - Saturday, 10 May
don't know if i'm going into labor or not... not sure if it's gass or contractions

janessa - Thursday, 8 May
they didn't take anyonw who was in labor before 36 weeks and tyler heartrate dropped below 90 a few times but he is ok now.

janessa - Thursday, 8 May
Well last night was a fun night. Major cramps... turned to major contractions... then they told me my water broke.. which it didn't major discharge and 90% of the mucus plug. I had it to a whole 1.5 cm dialated before my contractions became irregular. the pumped 5 things of IV shit into me. I had to be life flighted from one hospital to other which my insurance won't cover all to send me home and out me on major bed rest!! I'm pissed!

scherzy - Wednesday, 7 May

Thanks for the response that does make me feel better!

amanda61403 - Monday, 5 May
Hi! I had posted a very similar question about breastfeeding with implants about a week ago. It scared me because the only response I got was, "Now I know why people wait until after having kids to get implants." So please, please, please let me know if you get any more information because I am pretty worried that mine will be ruined:(

Mommy2boys - Monday, 5 May
OMG! Thank you sooo much for the sweet comment on the nursery. It makes all the hard work seem worth it. Thank you!

melliebellie - Monday, 5 May

I don't have implants, but read one mom in my weeks account, she said hers were under the muscle too and that for the first couple weeks after she stopped breast feeding (i think she fed for 6 months) she said her breeasts looked deflated and saggy for about 2-4 weeks, and then returned to their former glory. So maybe it has to do with how well your body copes period, as I have heard moms w/o implants say the same thing about boob recovery. I know this is all hearsay, and if I can find the woman who said that I will give you her name... But hope this helps!

newmommac - Friday, 2 May
aww thanks...that made me feel soo much better...yea im def going to do something for myself whether he does or not :)

lilgracie - Friday, 2 May
Seriously?! You can get varicose veins down there?! Pregnancy is no longer a magical, wonderful experience.

Hi...I was just reading one of your posts from someone else's page, and when I came on your profile I saw your beautiful picture from your wedding on Cocoa Beach. Do you live near there? I live in Deltona, and my husband and I got married on Cocoa Beach also 4/29/06. Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck!!
