Hello,

So I decided that this site would be great for me so that I know im not the only mom to be with soo many aches and pains!!! Im 22, A little younger than I wanted to be to have my first baby. My fiance is a bit older and we are soo excited to be parents. We already have an 8 month old chocolate lab pup who keeps us busy and honestly has prepared us more than we know for parent hood.

On Feb 8th we find out the sex of the baby and get to have an ultrasound for the first time. We heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago and it was 150bpm. That by far was one of the most exciting things to hear.

Well I look forward to chatting with all the other mommies to be:)

Jan 18th- Went to the doctor today!!! We heard the heartbeat was 144. Was weighed, gained another 4 pounds so have gained a total of 7 pounds so far. Not too bad!!!! Im feeling pretty good lately, besides from the lower back pain, headaches, and some dizziness. They decided to do a surprise ultra sound for me considering the doctor was booked the next 3 weeks. We saw the baby and it look perfect, when I figure out how to use my new scanner I will get the pics up! So we also found out we are having a girl! She was moving so much I was scared the tech was going to give up but she kept going and the baby finally flipped upside down and we saw the 3 lines!!!! I was surprised at first because everyone was trying to tell me it was a boy but from the start I knew it was a girl! So her name will be Alexa Pearl Herrick. We couldnt be happier. She was measuring 6oz 6 inches long. Now I Just wish June would come now!!

April 9th.

I Just wanted to let any moms know what I do for work. I was working as a part time nanny, Well I actually still do but this is my last month! I also work for a company called Arbonne International. Its a skin care company that is 100% natural, all vegan which means its not tested on animals and there are no animal biproducts used. Its hypoallergenic, and is a swiss formutaled product. There are many different lines, 6 to be exact. One which I thought some moms may be interested in was the Baby Line. Im not sure if anyone has watched dateline or read the latest blogs online. But many products especially baby products contain parabins, and Mineral oil. Mineral oil is aweful for your body and your skin, Its derived from plastic and is toxic to your skin.. No wonder why soo many people break out and dont know why!!! Well anyway, I just wanted to inform anyone who wanted to know about this business and some of the products. You can become an independent consultant as well and get all products for wholesale which is an additional 35-50% off, everything is shipped directly to your house and you dont have to go run to the mall to go waste money on skin care products that aren't good for you. I dont preach about arobonne, but if anyone has any questions please feel free to message me or even go look on the website yourself! www.arbonne.com.

Thanks!!!

My boob did the same thing got swollen and really hard I took the pump and just pumped that one side and rubbed it really good almost like milking a cow...lol! It hurt REALLY bad but it finally softened up and has been fine ever since.... you might try a warm wash cloth to.

angelfinx - Friday, 18 July
have you been to the doctor yet? you might see if you have mastitis - it bothers lactating mommies a lot, and its a dense, hard breast, redness, swelling and hurts like a bitch.

Babies R Us sells some gel pads you can either freeze or warm up that are supposed to help with breast tenderness, too. I hope you get some relief soon. :)

I know I go back and read my old blogs and it almost makes me cry!

I think her dimples make her smile infectious, I just can't get enough of it!

How is your little one doing?

Niknaks - Thursday, 17 July
Thanks so much for the comment! From now on, at night, I'll just check on my baby and make sure she's fine - and let her sleep till she wakes up! Some nights she sleeps longer than others. Last night she woke up every 3 hours (probably thanks to her nappy which leaked!!). But it would be cool if she started sleeping through soon :)

Thank you for sharing your experience with your lap. surgery! After a c-section, it has to be easier! i just hope they can do it laproscopically and don't have to end up cutting. You made me feel better!!

Ya, I called him at 2:30 and told him to get his ass home. He strolled in at 3 am! At that point I was so pissed and exhausted I didn't even talk to him. All he could say was "sorry 'bout that babe, lost track of time with the guys!" I'd like to lose track of time with the girls too, but here I am, sitting at home with my step son and new baby by myself...I'll have to talk to him about it when he gets home from work today. I'm okay with him having a guys night out since they only do it 1-2 times a month, but atleast try to make it home before midnight to relieve me of mommy duty for atleast a few hours since I'm up with her from 5 am on. Sorry to rant...and no, he wasn't drunk.

tana - Friday, 11 July
How are you and Alexa feeling? I have been concerned about you, I hope you are feeling better!!!!!

kmfitz - Thursday, 10 July
You might have strep if there's white in your throat--I used to get strep throat all the time! I would go to the doctor just to check it out :) Hope you start feeling better!

eminsana - Thursday, 10 July
haha thanks! Yea it was a lightish pinckish brownish. It was honestly like a small small drop and it was mixed in with my discharge. I had bad pains on my right side too (felt just like my ovulation pains). I am going to get an U/S on Saturday to make sure everything is still going as it should. Hopefully it is! I am hoping for the best. :-) How are you doing? Yea weird, no sore bbs no morning sickness. I was absolutely craving pizza today thogh. yum! I burped a TON after eating it haha. I dk, I am just praying for the best but if something happens then we just try again (words from my loving husband-i love him :-))

JayW - Wednesday, 9 July
Oh...I feel your pain, sister! My husband leaves the house at 6:30am and returns at 5pm each day. I know that he is tired from working all day, but I have considered bribing him into doing at least one of Logan's feedings at night!

youngmommy9 - Wednesday, 9 July
hey, im in the exact same position..i feel like im alone allll day..fiancees at work from 6-6 and im in the house with her all day..i try to get out but it takes so much time and energy i would rather not..im so tired!..i tried bottle feeding her..but shes not eating as much i dont think, which means the nipple has to come back!..hope your feeling better soon

happy.e - Wednesday, 9 July
Give it a few weeks and you'll feel much better listen to your body even ask your other half to feed your daughter and let you go to bed earlier and see if that helps a bit ... I remember how it feels 1st time round with my daughter and you cant explain the tiredness .. lucky enough it was only the 1st week or so with my son that i was so tired . Now I'm not letting myself get tired ... I have people to help me but my situation is up the left with his dad so getting no support from him but i am from his family , but its not full support because its not an easy way for any of us.. I had a very stressful pregnancy as well so been bit low from before i had my son so i wont let anyone take him out of my sight ..people try and help .. but I'm taking each day as it comes and enjoying my son and my daughter her brother .

happy.e - Wednesday, 9 July
Hi seen your comment about feeling so tired .. have you tryed sleeping when your daughter goes for a nap ? Forget the house work and everything else .. you've just had a baby and it does take awhile for your body to come back to normal .. and if your not feeling well and feeling bit low you'll feel more tired :-) keep your chin up ... my wee one is about the same age and i'm doing it all on my own so i know how hard it can be

seabird - Wednesday, 9 July
Rachel, why don't you try some breastfeeding support groups in your area? htey're great to meet other mums and have some adult conversation, not to mention the suggestions on breastfeeding, if you are doing it.

Aarons Mommy - Tuesday, 8 July
If you are sick it is best to keep breastfeeding because you will pass antibodies to her. i got really sick and my baby never got sick. Hope that helps you.

tangerina - Tuesday, 8 July
how are you doing? apart from the engorgement and the cut nipple? LOL

poizineyevee - Tuesday, 8 July
Thanx!! I just want to pinch your little one's cheeks. Shes a cutie pie!
