Hello,

So I decided that this site would be great for me so that I know im not the only mom to be with soo many aches and pains!!! Im 22, A little younger than I wanted to be to have my first baby. My fiance is a bit older and we are soo excited to be parents. We already have an 8 month old chocolate lab pup who keeps us busy and honestly has prepared us more than we know for parent hood.

On Feb 8th we find out the sex of the baby and get to have an ultrasound for the first time. We heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago and it was 150bpm. That by far was one of the most exciting things to hear.

Well I look forward to chatting with all the other mommies to be:)

Jan 18th- Went to the doctor today!!! We heard the heartbeat was 144. Was weighed, gained another 4 pounds so have gained a total of 7 pounds so far. Not too bad!!!! Im feeling pretty good lately, besides from the lower back pain, headaches, and some dizziness. They decided to do a surprise ultra sound for me considering the doctor was booked the next 3 weeks. We saw the baby and it look perfect, when I figure out how to use my new scanner I will get the pics up! So we also found out we are having a girl! She was moving so much I was scared the tech was going to give up but she kept going and the baby finally flipped upside down and we saw the 3 lines!!!! I was surprised at first because everyone was trying to tell me it was a boy but from the start I knew it was a girl! So her name will be Alexa Pearl Herrick. We couldnt be happier. She was measuring 6oz 6 inches long. Now I Just wish June would come now!!

April 9th.

I Just wanted to let any moms know what I do for work. I was working as a part time nanny, Well I actually still do but this is my last month! I also work for a company called Arbonne International. Its a skin care company that is 100% natural, all vegan which means its not tested on animals and there are no animal biproducts used. Its hypoallergenic, and is a swiss formutaled product. There are many different lines, 6 to be exact. One which I thought some moms may be interested in was the Baby Line. Im not sure if anyone has watched dateline or read the latest blogs online. But many products especially baby products contain parabins, and Mineral oil. Mineral oil is aweful for your body and your skin, Its derived from plastic and is toxic to your skin.. No wonder why soo many people break out and dont know why!!! Well anyway, I just wanted to inform anyone who wanted to know about this business and some of the products. You can become an independent consultant as well and get all products for wholesale which is an additional 35-50% off, everything is shipped directly to your house and you dont have to go run to the mall to go waste money on skin care products that aren't good for you. I dont preach about arobonne, but if anyone has any questions please feel free to message me or even go look on the website yourself! www.arbonne.com.

Thanks!!!

Hey!! Let me know if the Gripe Water works for you. i am amazed at the effect it had on Michael.

babesinaugust - Monday, 30 June
How you making out my dear? Sounds like you have a colicky little one.

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June
yes, i am breastfeeding. i am taking wellbutrin, its for depression. i have been on it for about 2 years. i was on it throughout my pregnancy and my dr. said it was fine to take while breastfeeding. see whar your options w/ meds are. there probably is something u can take while bf-ing

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June
its ok to cry, it doesnt mean that you are not a good mom. when i get really stressed i cry and call my mom. i had the baby blues pretty bad when i came home from the hospital, it actually started the night i had my little girl. then i cried all the way home from the hospital when we left. it got better after a week, but sometimes i still feel so stressed and overwhelmed & that my life has totaly changed forever. it's okay to feel that way. i also am on an anti-depressant and have been for a while, so i think thats helping a lot too.

brittany1621 - Monday, 30 June
Sorry I clicked to soon, I wanted to tell you your baby is beautiful and keep in touch because we have a lot in common! (my mother drives me to the edge of the earth too and some how makes me feel guily about it)!

brittany1621 - Monday, 30 June
It is great! It's still nice to have this website because where I live there aren't any girls my age with babies or anyone to really talk to or hang out with. All my 22 year old friends are at college or on vacation or doing something completely different than I. I wake up smelling like milk and baby :) They probably wake up smelling like beer and cigarettes. lol. I followed your pregnancy and birth when you wrote all your forums! I felt so bad for you when you had so much pain in the end.

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June

Hey girl I remember... I delivered at med city my husband is a doc over there so its very easy for us to have visits and what not there. Congrats on your little one!!! Hope things are going well for you and your family. Keep me posted

yogamommy - Saturday, 28 June
Thanks Rachel - she is just a little perfect angel. We are so happy! Hope all is well with you!

peanutontheway - Saturday, 28 June
I think talking to someone is worth a try first. Talkinng to someone outside of your situation can help you see a different prespective than your own. I don't like the idea of taking meds while breastfeeding either because you never know. I feel the same way I don't really know anyone with babies/kids except for peole on here. Yeah my bf, mom and bf's mom are taking turns driving us around. We haven't been out much cause it's so hot out. That's too badabout the mustang maybe he can enjoy the jeep though.

thanks hunnie!! you too!! i think baby might come tonight or in the morning... contractions are pretty regular now :0)

Maddux - Friday, 27 June
Hi...just for fun I was reading the newborn posts (my daughter is 3 months old) and I noticed your question about pumping and then feeding your baby. I ended up doing that with my daughter because it was just SO much effort to breastfeed her. So when she was about 3 weeks old I started pumping and just giving it to her in a bottle....she still does that now. So, if that works for you I say keep it up...its more important that your little one is getting the breastmilk than how they are getting it :)

Elis Mommy!! - Friday, 27 June
you want to be careful when you start pumping and you still do not have a fully established routine cause i started pumping and now i have to use formula cause i lost my milk supply and make sure you have a high dollar pump cause they pump faster and get more out dont by a cheap one i bought a $50 pump and i lost my milk faster!!!!!!!!!

peanutontheway - Friday, 27 June
Audrey eats every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours and she seems to be able to last longer between feedings now. I think my milk finally came in full force! When she wakes up I change her then feed her cause she usually falls asleep eating. I have only given her one bath so far but we've only been home 4 days now. Also She has really dry skin (like me) so I don't want to make it worse by using soap too often. She only woke me up 3 times last night, I think she's starting to get the idea that night time is for sleeping. She had her 1 week apt. today and has gained 5 oz and grew half an inch. I really can't get out much during the day b/c of my c-section I am not allowed to drive for at least 2 weeks. I was a full time student and working part time when I was pregnant with her. But I don't think I can do both and breastfeed a young infant. Unless I take my pump to class...LOL! I am supposed to start fall quarter in September but the very thought of leaving her makes me want to cry. Are you going back to work? How is your hubby taking on the new role of being a daddy? My Bf is absolutley in love with Audrey. He wants to buy me a brand new car with a 5 star safety rating so we are well protected. When just a few weeks ago he wanted to buy himself a little 2 seater sports car that didn't even have space for a car seat.

BIRTH STORY OF LOGAN UP FINALLY, TAKE A PEEK IF U LIKE ITS A LIL LONG!

bethanne - Friday, 27 June
Thanks!!!

I think they turned out really good, I really like taking pics so I am going to try and take as many of them as I possibly can, studios are SO EXPENSIVE!

How are you guys doing?

cori1212 - Thursday, 26 June
Hey! I'm doing pretty good. I still have good and bad days. But my incision is healing well and it's getting less tender by the day. Ian is gaining weight so fast. He was 7lb. 9oz. at birth and at his last doctor appointment he was 8lb. 3oz. CRAZY!! How's your little one doing? Are you getting enough sleep? I got so used to getting at least 6 hours of sleep so if I don't get that now I'm zoned during the day. Well I need to get my oldest to gymnastics. ttyl

tangerina - Thursday, 26 June
yeah, that is a good idea... seriously, sometimes there are too many changes for our own good. I couldnt imagine moving to my husband's hometown, I think i would shoot myself.

Nothing wrong w/ the town, but being so far from my family would depress me as much as they get on my nerves, not to mention, his family is SOOOOOOOOOOOO different from mine, i dont think i'd ever feel very comfortable around them. And at the end of the day, i DO think there is something wrong w/ the town. LOL!!! i pretty much hate going there because it sucks so bad. So i feel you on that because i would probably go crazy. And being that i'm a worrier and so anal, i would probably suffer from anxiety too.

how is the baby doing? is she breastfeeding well and everything?

sexymama021 - Thursday, 26 June
We are doing well :) I only had to wake up at 4 am to feed her..then she woke up at 845! I am so blessed! I am feeling much better now a week after my csection. That was a lot worse than a vaginal birth, let me tell ya! I didn't poop for like 5 days afterwards, ouch. I am producing milk like crazy. I pumped this morning after 8 or 9 hours of not during the night and I got almost 7 ounces total! LMAO. I am a friggin milk maid. She is not latching on but I think maybe my nipples are too hard for her to get so I'm gonna go get a nipple shield today and try that so I don't have to pump as much. I have probably 15 ounces of breastmilk in the fridge right now! Holy moly! How is alexa sleeping?
