Hello,

So I decided that this site would be great for me so that I know im not the only mom to be with soo many aches and pains!!! Im 22, A little younger than I wanted to be to have my first baby. My fiance is a bit older and we are soo excited to be parents. We already have an 8 month old chocolate lab pup who keeps us busy and honestly has prepared us more than we know for parent hood.

On Feb 8th we find out the sex of the baby and get to have an ultrasound for the first time. We heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago and it was 150bpm. That by far was one of the most exciting things to hear.

Well I look forward to chatting with all the other mommies to be:)

Jan 18th- Went to the doctor today!!! We heard the heartbeat was 144. Was weighed, gained another 4 pounds so have gained a total of 7 pounds so far. Not too bad!!!! Im feeling pretty good lately, besides from the lower back pain, headaches, and some dizziness. They decided to do a surprise ultra sound for me considering the doctor was booked the next 3 weeks. We saw the baby and it look perfect, when I figure out how to use my new scanner I will get the pics up! So we also found out we are having a girl! She was moving so much I was scared the tech was going to give up but she kept going and the baby finally flipped upside down and we saw the 3 lines!!!! I was surprised at first because everyone was trying to tell me it was a boy but from the start I knew it was a girl! So her name will be Alexa Pearl Herrick. We couldnt be happier. She was measuring 6oz 6 inches long. Now I Just wish June would come now!!

April 9th.

I Just wanted to let any moms know what I do for work. I was working as a part time nanny, Well I actually still do but this is my last month! I also work for a company called Arbonne International. I am just anxious, and had last baby at 36 wks and other 3 at 37, went home next day had no prob's well I guess ia m just being impatient and in so much pain, and after she toldme i was 80% and 3cm, I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess another wk would be well considering it is a lil bit early, and all espically since dr is now going by another due date ( by my period),. u ladies are all so patient , i wish i was, lol

Yeah I have the same pain all day. It's more painful after I've been sitting for a while and then stand up. This is my 3rd and I've never seen a mucus plug. LOL.. With my first I was induced a week early because on my BP, then with my 2nd I was early active labor at 38 weeks but never lost my plug and the dr. broke my water about 4hrs. into labor.

they haven't checked me at all. i go to the doctor on tuesday and im going to tell him about it. hopefully he will check me. i have been having BH and cramping pretty bad for about 4 weeks and i have only had about 3 or 4 severe contractions over a period of like 2 weeks. my hips ache really bad too.

What's SLEEP?? lol I haven't gotten a good night's rest in WEEKS! My bf and share a full-sized bed, and he is a big guy. He takes up a lot of the bed, and when he tosses and turns in his sleep, he ALWAYS wakes me up. I slept on the couch last night, and it felt GOOD!

I can't blame all of my sleep problems on my bf...I have to pee every 15-20 minutes, so that interrupts my sleep too. Not to mention shortness of breath and heart palpitations. Only 5 more weeks to go, right??!!

I am totally cool with this baby coming out any time after 37 weeks, I would be full term, she would be healthy, it sounds like a win win situation to me. I have started walking the past few days to try and help things out. I have been feeling more pressure over the past few weeks and more crampy but nothing serious. I also am having frequent BH's I would guess at least 2-3 an hour pretty much all the time.

Yeah it was a bit hard to get him to do anything last night. And I know once he finds out I'm dilating then I will NOT get any until after Ian arrives. LOL.. I find out a week from Monday if I'm dilating at all. I'm sure I have since I have been getting contractions like crazy.

Hi there,

I had a lab who also was a weirdo and liked dogs poop it is pretty common, and I ofcourse have no idea how we got her out of it. I currently have a chow/lab mix who gets a kick out of licking our female terriers urine. Dogs. Maybe call ur local vet or look at something like petsmart.com to see if they have any suggestions. P.S. Labs are excellent with kids =)

THANKS FOR THE COMMENT. I AM 100% SURE OF WHEN I GOT PREGNANT SO THE DATES ARE RIGHT. THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD INDUCE ONLY AT 39WEEKS BUT ENCOURAGE ALOT OF ACTIVITY AND SEX AT 37 WEEKS TO HOPEFULLY INDUCE LABOR. MY HUSBAND IS THRILLED BUT ME NOT SO MUCH. THEY EXPLAINED ALL THE RISKS OF VAGINAL BIRTH WITH A LARGE BABY BUT I THINK I AM AT LEAST GOING TO TRY B/C THE OPTION FOR C-SECTION IS ALWAYS THERE. WISH ME LUCK AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR LITTLE GIRL!!!!!

Yeah by the time you reach week 37 your so ready and then it just drags into week 38. Yeah I had an appt on Thurs and he said that he thinks i'll have him sometime this weekend, and if not early during the week. So only a few more days hopefully.

I love the glider. I go and sit in there and so far it seems very comfortable. I read in the reviews that it makes some noise when it glides but I haven't had any problems. I can't wait til I get to really use it. Hope you love yours!!

I saw your post and thought I would reply as I had a very similar experience when I was about 33 weeks along. I was at the hospital with contractions 3 minutes apart and I was 2 cm dilated, 50 % effaced, and fully engaged when they gave me the terbutaline to stop the contractions. (This is # 3 for me so they were mostly concerned with baby engaging this early since it usually does not happen until you are in labor with second and later pregnancies). I was on bedrest until 35 weeks and restricted activity. Now, I am 39 weeks with no signs Baby is coming sooner rather than later! I know it varies from person to person, but thought I'd share my version with you. Best wishes, and know that even if your baby were to be born now she should be just fine. Congratulations!

Hey, my little girl has been in my BUTT lol the whole time. I can bearly walk because she is pushing down so low and my hips and nerves are shot!! I am 38 weeks today and really hope she comes soon!! Your not alone don't worry

Thanks for your advice! I haven't had any bleeding since so I'm sure I'm fine. There won't be any sex anyway for at least 2 and a half weeks since DH just left the country! LOL

They should check you and it does not feel good...I almost came off of the table if he doesnt tell him what your experiencing and that you want to be checked and they should..also if you havent had your strep test have them do it while they are down there..to get it over with hope all is going well we dont have too much further to go! Thank goodness lol!

I hope your maternity pics turn out good. You will have to put some up on here. I know exactly what you mean about not taking a shower. Thank god my work decided to go not so professional looking so I come in looking like crap all the time. Haha! I can definatley hang in there a few more weeks, went in to the doc today cause i started having some really sharp pains, everythign was good though. I think he is just getting ready. I felt like he was going to fall out all day long. Anyways, have fun doing you pictures!!!!

Oh man I wish I could be off work now!! I would try to walk to the dog as far as you can then come back. Then the next day try to walk a little further than you did before and come back and keep doing that. It will give you good exercise and your dog too. and it might help you move along. I wish I could do that, but I have 2 dogs that are 55 and 75 pound dogs and they just end up walking me. When we do take our dogs for a walk, it has to be like at 9 at night so that we can go to the park and let them off there leash and we walk behind them as they go do what they want. They are pitt bulls so some people are not too fond of them during the day when they are walking so we go at the time when least amount of people are walking. But for real I am so jealous of you being off work. I have 3 more weeks until I am off and I odn't know if I can sit in this chair at work another day. My back is constantly hurting and my belly is way in the way of me leaning over to tyoe at my desk. Anyways, but I would definatley at least try to walk a little everyday. Talk to you later girl!

As long as you feed on both sides equally, both should make the same amount of milk. If for some reason one starts producing more milk, let the baby feed on the side that has less and it will stimulate more production in that one. Be aware, you will end up with lots of lumps while brestfeeding. They will be clogged milk ducts and things like that. There was 1 I had checked out by the doc because I wasn't sure but it ended up to be a clogged milk duct also. They aren't fun, you just gotta let the little one eat and they will end up unclogging them. Breastfeeding is a challenge, keep with it and eventually it will become VERY easy, with no pain. At first you may end up wanting to stop, but like I said stick with it. However, you may be one of the lucky ones who don't experience any pain or problems. Good luck!

They say the usual breastfeeding pattern is one side for 15 min. burb then other side 15 min. then burp. That's how I did it with my 1st... they can still swallow some air so yeah, they do need to be burped. Also, I believe there are no dumb questions when it comes to things like this. I am the same way with capri the one I had on were bermuda shorts and not capris. I can not were capri because I am only 5ft. It is hard being short and pregnant. Everything is made so long!!
