Hello,

So I decided that this site would be great for me so that I know im not the only mom to be with soo many aches and pains!!! Im 22, A little younger than I wanted to be to have my first baby. My fiance is a bit older and we are soo excited to be parents. We already have an 8 month old chocolate lab pup who keeps us busy and honestly has prepared us more than we know for parent hood.

On Feb 8th we find out the sex of the baby and get to have an ultrasound for the first time. We heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago and it was 150bpm. That by far was one of the most exciting things to hear.

Well I look forward to chatting with all the other mommies to be:)

Jan 18th- Went to the doctor today!!! We heard the heartbeat was 144. Was weighed, gained another 4 pounds so have gained a total of 7 pounds so far. Not too bad!!!! Im feeling pretty good lately, besides from the lower back pain, headaches, and some dizziness. They decided to do a surprise ultra sound for me considering the doctor was booked the next 3 weeks. We saw the baby and it look perfect, when I figure out how to use my new scanner I will get the pics up! So we also found out we are having a girl! She was moving so much I was scared the tech was going to give up but she kept going and the baby finally flipped upside down and we saw the 3 lines!!!! I was surprised at first because everyone was trying to tell me it was a boy but from the start I knew it was a girl! So her name will be Alexa Pearl Herrick. We couldnt be happier. She was measuring 6oz 6 inches long. Now I Just wish June would come now!!

April 9th.

I Just wanted to let any moms know what I do for work. I was working as a part time nanny, Well I actually still do but this is my last month! I also work for a company called Arbonne International. Its a skin care company that is 100% natural, all vegan which means its not tested on animals and there are no animal biproducts used. Its hypoallergenic, and is a swiss formutaled product. There are many different lines, 6 to be exact. One which I thought some moms may be interested in was the Baby Line. Im not sure if anyone has watched dateline or read the latest blogs online. But many products especially baby products contain parabins, and Mineral oil. Mineral oil is aweful for your body and your skin, Its derived from plastic and is toxic to your skin.. No wonder why soo many people break out and dont know why!!! Well anyway, I just wanted to inform anyone who wanted to know about this business and some of the products. You can become an independent consultant as well and get all products for wholesale which is an additional 35-50% off, everything is shipped directly to your house and you dont have to go run to the mall to go waste money on skin care products that aren't good for you. I dont preach about arobonne, but if anyone has any questions please feel free to message me or even go look on the website yourself! www.arbonne.com.

Thanks!!!

CAn I ask you question, why are you pumping and not just nursing. It seems so much more work! NOt being mean...just concerned.

LOL!! aww, i know.. its sooo cute!!! he's been sticking out his tongue since he was born, it looks soo cute!!!

how are you doing??!!! i finally feel like i'm crawling out of the cave.. lol!! i've been on my glider, shirtless and braless w/ breastmilk flying everywhere pretty much all day everyday.. LOL... my husband must be so disgusted. At least i've healed up pretty well and have had a pretty good week apart from the breastfeeding challenges that we feel we've finally got under control today.. thank God!!

Rachel I read your last comment on the board. Clog ducts turn into Mastitos. Make sure before every nursing or pumping you apply a hot towel, bean bag, whatever....let it sit and the message the lumpy area. CIRCULAR MOTION. Then nurse, while you are nursing continue to message it. Make sure that you are doing most of your nursing on the lumpy side...don't worry about the other one. It will be fine, just make sure you try and DRAIN the lumpy one...then switch to the other side....that should help. If you feel feverish, red lines forming on your breast you may have to visit the doctor and get some antibiotics. HTH

Hi! I just read you comment on the baby page and wanted to jump thru the computer and hug you!!!!!! I'm doing the same! I have No milk :0( am determined to breastfeed but it's so exhusting!! I mean once I breastfeed and bottle feed Eli then settle him off to rest then pump I'm lucky if I even get an hour to do anything before the whole process starts again! I'm sure you can empathize! I sure know the 2am time is the worst!!! I just want to sleep!!!!!!!! ... Actually I did today... I've got a head cold and I'm sure Eli has caught it too because he's so unsettled today.

Anyway... no I'm just venting!!! Sorry!! I tried venting to a friend yesterday and she just said "what did you think it would be like having a baby!" Can you believe it!! Sooo mean and no need to say this a a friend that doesn't have children yet!!!

So if you need to vent or just share anything I'm here!!!!!!!!!!! .... well when I'm not being daisy bell the pumping milk machine I'm here!!

HE HE I drink 15oz of coffee in the a.m. your mom really would hate me. HA No problems with mine, I gotta have my coffee to keep up with my other 3 kids 4 and under. And I also need it to clean my innards cuz I'm out of stool softeners my doc prescribed and things are NOT back to normal in that area (if you know what I mean-poopin' is still scary sometimes) But it doesn't bother my baby at all that I drink coffee, I drank it while i was pregnant along with energy drinks, keeping it below 300mg of caffeine (the highest amount that is considered safe in pregnancy), I think if we use it then our babies build up a tolerance to it and it doesn't effect them like it would most people who didn't consume it. Don't worry about it, people always have something to say especially our moms who think they've got something to teach us about parenting. LOL they can be extremely critical and expect us to do things like they did, but it's our turn now. Congrats

Sigh, yeah, I am about too, poor kiddies, isn't their fault I just want no one to talk to for atleast 24 hours. My lil guy had me up every hour and a half, I am being lazy with the milk, but then again i am always giving it to him so not sure why I haven't gotten more coming in. Oh well. I meant to say you are having the hardest recovery ever!!! It shouldn't be that bad! This one killed me, but after my son and daughter I was pretty good walking around and healing, this one my upper half is ready to join the land of the living and the bottom half needs a wheelchair lol.

Hey!! Let me know if the Gripe Water works for you. i am amazed at the effect it had on Michael.

babesinaugust - Monday, 30 June
How you making out my dear? Sounds like you have a colicky little one.

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June
yes, i am breastfeeding. i am taking wellbutrin, its for depression. i have been on it for about 2 years. i was on it throughout my pregnancy and my dr. said it was fine to take while breastfeeding. see whar your options w/ meds are. there probably is something u can take while bf-ing

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June
its ok to cry, it doesnt mean that you are not a good mom. when i get really stressed i cry and call my mom. i had the baby blues pretty bad when i came home from the hospital, it actually started the night i had my little girl. then i cried all the way home from the hospital when we left. it got better after a week, but sometimes i still feel so stressed and overwhelmed & that my life has totaly changed forever. it's okay to feel that way. i also am on an anti-depressant and have been for a while, so i think thats helping a lot too.

brittany1621 - Monday, 30 June
Sorry I clicked to soon, I wanted to tell you your baby is beautiful and keep in touch because we have a lot in common! (my mother drives me to the edge of the earth too and some how makes me feel guily about it)!

brittany1621 - Monday, 30 June
It is great! It's still nice to have this website because where I live there aren't any girls my age with babies or anyone to really talk to or hang out with. All my 22 year old friends are at college or on vacation or doing something completely different than I. I wake up smelling like milk and baby :) They probably wake up smelling like beer and cigarettes. lol. I followed your pregnancy and birth when you wrote all your forums! I felt so bad for you when you had so much pain in the end.

Cherryb0m - Monday, 30 June
im sorry you're having such a bad day, friday was the worst day ever for us. she cried for 13 hrs.... i was in tears all day too. i havnt left the house, let alone my room really for the past 3 days. i know it's hard, but it will get better

Hey girl I remember... I delivered at med city my husband is a doc over there so its very easy for us to have visits and what not there. Congrats on your little one!!! Hope things are going well for you and your family. Keep me posted

yogamommy - Saturday, 28 June
Thanks Rachel - she is just a little perfect angel. We are so happy! Hope all is well with you!

peanutontheway - Saturday, 28 June
I think talking to someone is worth a try first. Talkinng to someone outside of your situation can help you see a different prespective than your own. I don't like the idea of taking meds while breastfeeding either because you never know. I feel the same way I don't really know anyone with babies/kids except for peole on here. Yeah my bf, mom and bf's mom are taking turns driving us around. We haven't been out much cause it's so hot out. That's too badabout the mustang maybe he can enjoy the jeep though.
