Hello,

So I decided that this site would be great for me so that I know im not the only mom to be with soo many aches and pains!!! Im 22, A little younger than I wanted to be to have my first baby. My fiance is a bit older and we are soo excited to be parents. We already have an 8 month old chocolate lab pup who keeps us busy and honestly has prepared us more than we know for parent hood.

On Feb 8th we find out the sex of the baby and get to have an ultrasound for the first time. We heard the heartbeat 2 weeks ago and it was 150bpm. That by far was one of the most exciting things to hear.

Well I look forward to chatting with all the other mommies to be:)

Jan 18th- Went to the doctor today!!! We heard the heartbeat was 144. Was weighed, gained another 4 pounds so have gained a total of 7 pounds so far. Not too bad!!!! Im feeling pretty good lately, besides from the lower back pain, headaches, and some dizziness. They decided to do a surprise ultra sound for me considering the doctor was booked the next 3 weeks. We saw the baby and it look perfect, when I figure out how to use my new scanner I will get the pics up! So we also found out we are having a girl! She was moving so much I was scared the tech was going to give up but she kept going and the baby finally flipped upside down and we saw the 3 lines!!!! I was surprised at first because everyone was trying to tell me it was a boy but from the start I knew it was a girl! So her name will be Alexa Pearl Herrick. We couldnt be happier. She was measuring 6oz 6 inches long. Now I Just wish June would come now!!

April 9th.

I Just wanted to let any moms know what I do for work. I was working as a part time nanny, Well I actually still do but this is my last month! I also work for a company called Arbonne International. Its a skin care company that is 100% natural, all vegan which means its not tested on animals and there are no animal biproducts used. Its hypoallergenic, and is a swiss formutaled product. There are many different lines, 6 to be exact. One which I thought some moms may be interested in was the Baby Line. Im not sure if anyone has watched dateline or read the latest blogs online. But many products especially baby products contain parabins, and Mineral oil. Mineral oil is aweful for your body and your skin, Its derived from plastic and is toxic to your skin.. No wonder why soo many people break out and dont know why!!! Well anyway, I just wanted to inform anyone who wanted to know about this business and some of the products. You can become an independent consultant as well and get all products for wholesale which is an additional 35-50% off, everything is shipped directly to your house and you dont have to go run to the mall to go waste money on skin care products that aren't good for you. Rachel, money sucks! You don't appreciate it when you have it and you don't appreciate life when you don't. We grew up very poor...food stamps, public assistance...and most embarrassing, my parents actually stood in the "cheese line." My parents did the whole cheating and divorcing and marrying the cheatee too? Is cheatee a word? If not, I just made it up. Anyway, you need to vent, especially since you just had a baby and have all these hormones. It is not safe to bottle them up. I am not the best one to ask for money advice or even give advice, but I do have a recommendation. I would try to find a marriage councelor; with all the stresses you are going through you need someone to help you sort them out. Then, I would write up a budget. My husband and I are considered middle class, but money is continually tight. I created a month-by-month budget for this whole year and really try to stick to it. It really helps me stay focused and not impulse buy as much. I know what is coming up and how much money is going out. I feel so much more in control this way. I know this won't help at all, but it sounds to me like you are doing very well for someone so young. At 22, my husband and I were just getting married and didn't have anything. You should be proud of your accomplishments...a mom, a home, and great supportive in-laws. If the stress of your condo is getting to you, maybe you could look into selling and downsizing a bit for a couple of years. I am just rambling now and you are probably rolling your eyes.

Hunny I know how you feel!! I am a stay at home mom and with this economy there are definitely times that I think I should go to work to help out! But we agreed that I would stay home with the kids and trying to find at home work is next to impossible!! there are definitely days where I just feel like crying and trying to talk to hubby makes him feel like he isn't providing for us and makes him upset! What he doesn't understand is who else are we supposed to vent to?? Our kids?? Yeah right! He has coworkers and his boss to vent to and get his frustrations out and sometimes I think it would be better just to bottle everything in and become numb to it all but most of the time it just comes rushing out. Then we have a good fight but in the end I get things off my chest that I need to! If you ever need anyone to vent to I am here!!! I grew up like you where I pretty much had everything i wanted and what is even more frustrating is I have a twin sister who her family (hubby and daughter) they arent doing well financially at all and my parents do everything for them and even though I know its not right I am jealous of the fact. Just the other weekend we alll went to the beach in one car to save gas money and I chipped in $20 for it but my sis didn't. I just get frustrated when I get asked for it and it is just assumed that my sis can't. Hey we are trying to save money where we can too! UGGGHH sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a vent on you! I am here if you need someone!!

Hey I'm am having 1 year off work, I was working full time before I had my baby but I think I'll only go back part time. It is so hard being away from her. My husband didn't want me to go back at all but I want to keep myself in the workforce for when my kids are at school. Take care

Rachel the problem with fibromyalgia is that there is no test for it so they just have to eliminate everything else, but if you are concerned try to get your doc to test your ANA levels (antibodies against yourself) because many people with fibro test positive for it...not all but quite a few. Anyhow aches and pains could mean you have a autoimmune problem and they should figure it out before you have another baby because some issues can effect a fetus. Here's hoping you don't cause it sucks and there is no real treatment!!!

That's okay - sometimes I take FOREVER to respond to people. Then I get pissed off lol because I have a million people to respond to. I do the same thing with email and on myspace lol. I actually got a job as a prek teacher and I start Monday so I'm excited. Joey will be coming Mon, Wed, and Fri - he'll be with Joe on Tues and Thurs. We need money so bad so it's def bittersweet.

So now that I'll be working m-f 9-5 haha we could meet up after that or on the weekend if you want?? Worcester always works for me, Cafe Dulce is fantastic on Shrewsbury St.

I could hardly believe it. It was everywhere. All over him, his outfit, the blanket, two sets of sheets - eegads! It was a bath and immediate laundry for us. I'm glad to know that other moms are are welcoming the day in a similar fashion. ;)

Hey Rachel! Sounds like you are very motivated to luz the weight! I refuse to buy new clothes for now. BTW Aeropostale sizes in jeans runs really big. I wear a size 5/6 there right now and it makes me feel good cause I know im not that small. I know everyone says patience in the key and i believe them but its sooo hard. I am down to 141 and my goal is 125 (im short at 5'4). I feel like its going to take till the end of the year. I eat extremely well (ive cut out soda, juice, fast food, fried food, fattening and sugary foods) and I dont eat anything past 6:30. Exercise really helps too. Hows your job hunting going? I have to make over 1,000 a month just to cover the bills that will come in if i work. (her formula alone is 350 a month). Frustrating! Where in MA are you located? I live in NY, we go to Boston (Westin) often. Hope your enjoying the last days of summer! ~Brittany

He was 3 wks early too, and at that point I didn't think I could have gone longer!!! I only gained 27 lbs so I wasnt even that big. I don't know how some of these women do it.
Before he got his cheeks he had the same problem with clothes. He is so tall and noting fit him. Now he is wide!
