May 4, 2008 Hey all, here are the pics from both baby showers. I have one more to do with my folks at work. Then that's done. I will be happy to be done with showers. Both were tons of fun. Everyone had such a good time at the one at my house they all want to come back and do something else. We will have a fish fry in a few weeks. Deb

Hey everyone,

This is baby number two for me. Well my 2nd child in 16 years. My partner and I have been together for almost 4 years and decided we wanted to have a baby.

We are both excited and both scared to death. It's been a long time since I changed a diaper.

It's a girl we have named (read below) and she is due June 15th.

Glad to see all the other mommies to be out there.

Hey ladies,I `ve yet to add anything substantial to my page so here goes. Sunday the 24th I will be 6 months. Ryleigh is super active. She loves to kick and do flips. My dad says he enrolled her in gymnastics. Can't wait to meet her.

Sorry to hear she's colicky... how's it going w/ that? Does that gripe water help? My husband and I are like yin & yang... I'm feisty, he's super laid-back, so I was really hoping for a baby who has his temperament... so far, it seems that's the case... but who knows, it could change at any moment!

Thanks for the reply, we talked and we both understand what the other is feeling and are trying to accomodate to the best of our abilities without crossing any lines or hurting each other. we had a nice two days of closeness which is what i have wanted and noone compromised what they thought they were right about! in the end, im not complaining anymore cause seems to have done the job!

haha, didnt we all do that when we were teenagers? i remember my mom would call me and id see it was her and be like oh no!! now i understand. so that dvd really does work? riley had a reallllly fussy day today. its not like her at all. i think its the meds we're giving her for her thrush. your not suppose to swallow it but she cant help that. shes had a ton more poopy diapers everyday and they smell wicked! what are you doing for the fourth? you said you lived in atl right? have you ever been to hotlanta wings? oooooh those are so good! i want some right now!

I just started pumping so that my husband can feed her and I can get out for an hour or two here and there to break my days up a bit. I've recentely started looking into daycare centers and that has been a daunting task!!!! How much time do you plan to spend at home with Ryleigh?

My son really didnt cry that much. Maybe because i threatened him every chance i could get so he was scared. I will beat ass into submission..lol And i will say a prayer for the flat screen..lol Im ready to get this lil ass baby out.. hahaha I just want to sleep and wear jeans again. And i keep seeing saggy breasted women. And i cant help but to wonder how trhat shit happened. Like what kinda bra do you have on to where it looks like that...lol And why is it so damn hot outside. And how is ur gf adjusting to the baby? And what does your belly look like now? I cant do the chitlin belly. Thats my biggest fear in life..lol

I have always had to take mine out. This time they got briddle quicker, like at 2 weeks. With my other son I still had them at 4 and a half weeks. They were very sensitive until I pulled them out and it was basically immediate relief. Good Luck

Hey girl!. My first born was colicky and I was a single parent at the time. Imagine. Try this. In Russia, they swaddle the baby to keep him/her calm. In other words, Take the receiving blanket. fold it into a triangle. Place the baby in the center of the triangle with the head at the widest point. Wrap the baby snuggly into the blanket. What it does is create the same type of close environment, he/she had in the womb. Also, mild chamomile is very good for them, we use that here in Italy. I hope I gave you some good advice.

I have that DVD too...finally know the secrets and I am on my fourth baby. Wish I would have known sooner!!! My sis is an RN and got it from someone at work...my younger sis just had a baby and said it works great for her too :) You have some cute babies :) I live in Riverdale so u are pretty close to me..having my baby at Southern Regional in a couple of weeks.
