May 4, 2008 Hey all, here are the pics from both baby showers. I have one more to do with my folks at work. Then that's done. I will be happy to be done with showers. Both were tons of fun. Everyone had such a good time at the one at my house they all want to come back and do something else. We will have a fish fry in a few weeks. Deb

Hey everyone,

This is baby number two for me. Well my 2nd child in 16 years. My partner and I have been together for almost 4 years and decided we wanted to have a baby.

We are both excited and both scared to death. It's been a long time since I changed a diaper.

It's a girl we have named (read below) and she is due June 15th.

Glad to see all the other mommies to be out there.

Hey ladies,I `ve yet to add anything substantial to my page so here goes. Sunday the 24th I will be 6 months. Ryleigh is super active. She loves to kick and do flips. My dad says he enrolled her in gymnastics. Can't wait to meet her.

Wow! That is tall. I am jealous! I am a wee 5'2.5" I used to claim 5'3" but feel guilty now have it has been confirmed and reconfirmed that I am only 5'2.5" However, I can imagine that doing squats, especially at this point in your pregnancy would be quite uncomfortable. I guess there are some perks to being short afterall

. Wish I could help more. I can't imagine how frustrated I would be if I had to wait 2 weeks after my due date. Just hang in there. Not too much longer.

Well, you do have one stubborn little girl growing inside of you. That's crazy that the doctor would have you wait two more weeks before he induces labor. I hope for your sake that the squats work. Push her on out of you!

Absolutely I did see the video a month ago and I made my husband glance at it with me. That is where I truly got the idea. It was mind opening for me. I will definately keep you updated. Also, love the baby shower pics. You sound like me...I will likely have 3 to 4 myself.

i dont know why the doctors like to wait so long. with my first son shane he was suppose to born 6-23-04 but the dr said to wait and see if he comes on his own wich he didnt. so she called me and ask if i wanted to be induced on 07-02-04 or 07-08-04 and i chose the july second of course. any how he wouldnt come down so they decided for c-section at like 1130 and he was born at 1223 am by c-section and he weighed eight pound eight ounces and was nineteen inches long. it was bad cause i ended up having a spinal leak wich cause a severe spinal headach and i lost my vision for 24 hrs it was i noghtmare and i was at like the top hospital for labor and delivery in tn. it just happen to be one of those things that happen to women sometimes. but i got through it and recovered perfectly

Thank you for your response in reference to home/water birth. I am excited to be at the point in making such a decision. I am truly leaning towards being at home and comfortable in my own surroundings. Still working out the kinks and looking for a midwife to assist. I pray all goes well with your baby and Congratulations.

You poor thing! I'm glad this pregnancy seems to be going better. At least you are not in the hospital for two weeks before giving birth. When is your last day at work? It is amazing that you are still working with your due date so close (3 days! Yeah!) However, I suppose it helps get your mind off the pregnancy for a couple of hours. I had to quit my job back in January because I was a full time student and all of my classes were in the middle of the day. I could have worked graveyards, but I think that would have been too fatiguing on my body. Now that I am out of school, I am bored and ready for him to come. It's a bit too late in the pregnancy to look for jobs. Oh well.

Did your first arrive early, late, or just on time? I keep having this feeling that my son will be coming early. However, since this is my first pregnancy I really don't know what to expect. I am learning as a go along. Yesterday was the first time I had felt any sort of contractions. I know they were just BH because they were not painful, but they were going on and off all day. Hopefully your daughter comes this weekend. Have you tried doing squats or walking to encourage her to come?

Everyday is different.. The only time I start to get sick, is when my stomach start growling.. But by that time, even though my stomach is growling, I've lost my appetite... LOL which leads to nausea.. but other than that.. its not that bad.....

I am sorry to hear that your sister may not be able to come and see you. Maybe she can come after you have the baby? I took a nap too today but then after that I had to cook and stuff. Then my little one got home with daddy and I was on Mommy duty again. But it is more stress free now because I can get her fed and bathed earlier now that I am home. When I was working I would get home at 7:00 pm on a good day. If not I would be there till 7 pm despite the fact that my butt is pregnant. I am so happy I am no longer working there. I had my old boss email me today to ask about some files. I hope after this he leaves me alone.

well those contractions jus might b doin somethin girl u never kno...my son has been real active lately n he stretches out so hard it hurts, i guess he wants out lol...my daughter never dropped when i was prego wit her so im new to this whole droppin feeling

Thanks for the welcome! You are so close to your due date. You look amazing! I am really hoping my little man arrives a couple of weeks early. But being this is my first, I doubt that will happen. I can't wait for him to arrive. I agree. The waiting is grueling. And I still have a month and a half to go. Good luck with the remaining days of your pregnancy!
