Sun Aug 17th (4w6d)

Well I havent been to the Drs yet I am hoping to go on Tues for my first appt! I am approx 4w 6d preggo. Its crazy how fast the weeks go once you find out that you are pregnant. Feeling really great no nausea or anything really at this point. Although yesterday at work my boobs felt strange, kinda like when I was bf and my boobs felt full...I dunno. Not sure what they will do at this appt. Cant remember what they did the last time even though it wasnt all that long ago. Probably weigh me and a urine sample?? Im just so excited to be going through this all over again!!

Thurs Aug 28th (6w3d)

Well I went to my appt last tues and they drew blood to confirm that Im preggo, thats all they did for me I was really surprised. They told me to come back once Im 10 weeks. That will be on the 22nd of Sept. As of today I am 6w 3d. Time is really going by quick already2 1/2 weeks since we found out I was pregnant. Still no symptoms yet, no morning sickness or really anything. The one thing that I do get is bloated which is kinda anoying. But better then MS. Guess we will see what the next weeks bring...

Tues Sept 2nd (7w1d)

Now 7 w 1d and the nausea has set in full force, no vomiting as of yet but sure felt close a few times..icky!! I was hoping I was out of the woods for the nausea vomiting but now Im starting to think other wise. Cant wait till the coming weeks when this will hopefully ease off. Makes it so hard to work. Pants are getting tight too not sure if its the bloating or what but hard to wear certain pants I find.

Tues Sept 9th (8w1d)

Wow how things change in a week, nausea has now eased off and I can actually work without thinking that Im gonna vomit! Lol! But now my boobs are just killing me! It feels to me like when I was breast feeding and my boobs were getting full. Strange... Other then that things are great. Been having really strange dreams at night though. Dreaming about twins and babies, dont know what that means??

Tues Sept 16th (9w1d)

Well today was a crappy day. Went to work and was feeling good until we got to the hospital and I was standing waiting to triage our pt, all of a sudden I felt short of breath and dizzy, I went and sat down but the feeling got worse. I then got up and walked to a small room to put my head down on the counter. My supervisor was there and I stated that I thought I was going to pass out. When I sat down he took my pulse and it was at 60bpm, and my blood pressure was 80/40! It was scary. The next thing I know there were a swarm of other paramedics that I work with all around me. Someone got an empty stretcher and they put me on it. Then I feel someone put a tourniqet around my arm and my supervisor is saying they are gonna start an IV! Then I was hooked up to a heart monitor. It was about 5 mins or so before I started to feel better. When I opened my eyes so many people that I work with are all standing around. It was so embarrassing! A couple of the paramedics I work with ended up admiting me to the hospital. It was so weird to be the pt and be wheeled on a stretcher to a bed in front of everyone. A bunch of blood and urine tests later everything ended up being fine. I was there for about 4 hrs. I hope that it dosnt happen again, that was a first for me. How different this pregnancy is from the last!

Mon Sept 22nd (10w)

So I am 10 weeks as of today! Had my first Drs appt which went really well. I was dissapointed though that they didnt check the heart beat with the doppler. They said that its cause it can be hard to hear/find so as to not worry me if they cant find it they would just wait until my next appt because then we will hear it for sure. I have to wait until I am at least 16 weeks to get and u/s as well. Would be neat to have one now and see how he/she is doing in there...oh well not to long to wait I guess. Other then that I have been feeling pretty good. Turns out that I have lost 6lbs which Im sure its from not eating that well from the nausea. Oh well if its anything like my last pregnancy I can look forward to gaining 45lbs! So maybe loosing some at the begining wont be so bad..lol!

Mon Sept 29th (11w)

Wow how a week flys by! 11 weeks now!! Getting so close to the second trimester, only 2 weeks to go. Still feeling the nausea some days are better then others, I think I feel the worse after my 2 night shifts. Work has been crazy busy the last few weeks! Still growing and I swear I look like I am further along then I am. Wearing maternety pants now. Still dont feel like I have gained any weight but Im sure that will come in time lol!

Thurs Oct 16th (13w3d)

13 weeks 3 days, cant believe how fast the time is going!! My belly seems to be getting bigger everyday which is crazy considering how early I still am. They say that after you have had one baby your uterus remembers and is faster to grow back...who knows. I have my next Drs appt this coming tues. I am excited to hear the heart beat, hoping that there is just one in there lol! Although twins would be cool, but crazy! My nausea is getting better but still there some days. Cant wait to start feeling better. Just found out that 2 friends of mine, who had babies at the same time as me in 2007, are pregnant again with their 2nds! They are due June 9th and 12th so not too long after me! It will be so nice to be off on Mat leave with them for the year again! Cant believe how fast the time has gone since I had my son, it really dosnt seem all that long ago but it has been almost 2 yrs! Im gonna try and slow things down and take it all in this pregnancy as it might be our last. We havent decided if we will have more then 2 kids or not. I guess we will see what happens!

Tues Oct 21st (14w1d)

Well I had my second drs appt today and now Im freaking out! He couldnt find the heart beat!! He said that its possible that it could be "hiding" behind my pulse and the doppler couldnt pick it up. He tried for quite a while too, to find it and nothing. He said hes not worried but I sure am!! I dont know what to think. I havent had any symptoms to suggest something has gone wrong eg bleeding, cramping ect...so I dont know what to do. I go back in 2 weeks and I am praying that we hear it first thing. I just dont know what to do.....

So I called the clinic back today and they told me to come in and the nurse would try and find the heart beat if not they were going to send me to get an u/s. Thank god! I have been fretting since yesterday about this. Anyway I got there and in 30 sec she found it! 160bpm too! I was so happy to finally hear it and know that everything is ok. When I finally heard that little heart beat I just started to cry, I hugged and hugged the nurse I was so thankfull that she was able to find it. Funny how you always go right to thinking the worse about things.

Mon Oct 27th (15w)

I got my doppler I rented last fri, it is wonderful!! I have heard the babys heart beat so easily now. It makes me feel better to know that I can hear it when ever I want to. Its nice to because my husband wasnt able to go to my appt when I heard the heart beat, so he and my son have got to hear it at home. My son keeps on calling it sister which is so cute. We are waiting until baby is born to find out what it is but would be interesting to see if he is right...If time keeps on going this fast it wont be all that long of a wait!..

Wed Nov 5th (16w2d)

Went to another Drs. appt on tues. Everything looked great. Heart beat was in the 140's this time. Measuring good. I have been feeling pretty good lately my appetite seems to have returned somewhat. Still have these really strange headaches that make me feel wonky. Had it really bad last night a work. Makes me kinda worry somethings going on but Im sure its all in my head....sorry for the pun lol! Anyway, time is just flying but at the same time seems slow. Weird how that can happen. We are supposed to get snow here tomorrow which Im not looking forward to cause I dont like driving in it, but on the other hand means that baby will be here once its gone! So at least I have something to look forward too...

Sat Nov 8th (16w5d)

I got my req. for my u/s!!! I have it on Nov 28th at 10am! I am so excited to see this little bean live. I really am feeling the baby move more and more everyday and am really excited for the time when my son will be able to feel it too. Feeling pretty good lately to. Although Im pretty stressed as I just found out the we are getting posted this summer to Edmonton.....Going to have to re-apply for an EMS job there. Not sure how that is going to work seeing as though its another province and such....Just sucks because I really love where I am now and love the people I work with, its going to be a tough move thats for sure!

Thurs Nov 13th (17w3d)

So not much has changed this week, still feeling pretty good lately. Starting to get excited for Christmas. My older sister and niece are coming out to visit as well as my in-laws so there will be tons of people at my moms house which is always so fun! We have tons of snow here now to which makes Christmas seem closer too. Have been obsessed lately with listening to the babys heart beat on the doppler I rented. It just makes the reality that there is something there so more real. I just like to hear it moving around and chasing it with the doppler. My son likes to help me put on the gel and call it sister. It is so cute! Hes going to be such a good brother!

Really wanted to wait to hpt but couldnt, should have though BFN, what a surprise...

AF still no sign of it yet guess we wait some more, never usually this late cycle usually 27-28 days so you never know...

Mon July 14th

Not sure if AF is here yet or not but today I started to spot, I will see what tomorrow brings. If it is I wish it would just come 'cause then I can just stop wondering and just start over again this month....jeez!

Tue July 15th

Well AF is here with a vengance, woke up this morning and....surprise Im here! Well at least I know why I was getting all the BFN's. Heres to the next month! On to round two!

Sun July 20th

Well AF finished yesterday but I have been down and out with the flu since thursday night ick! If I didnt have my AF I would have thought it was morning sickness lol! Anyway so now to month 2 of trying. Where to start??, thats the question!

Wed July 23rd

Well huby and I have bd a few times so far since AF finished, just reading everyones stories that they got their BFP makes me so excited to get mine...Im really nervous to think of getting pregnant all over again because it dosnt seem all that long ago. But my husband, myself and my son are ready to bring another angel into this world! Need all the baby dust I can get!!

Fri July 25th

Well I am 6 days now since AF ended, DH and I have BD a few times since, according to my ovulation chart I am fertile as of yesterday and will be at my peak on sat, ovulation on sunday. DH and I trying to get as much "time" together to see if this will be the month! I hope so we are all really ready and excited to see what the results will be. I guess I will have to wait until the first week in Aug to test?? Hopefully I can wait that long to see how things are going in that department.....lol!

Mon July 28th

Apparently ovulated yesterday according to the charts, DH and I have been bd'ing every 2nd day since AF has ended. Really wishing that this is the month. Waiting until first weekend in Aug to test. AF should be due around the 10th or so of Aug. Cant wait to see whats happend!!

Fri Aug 1st

Just sitting here reading everyones posts and wondering myself if this will be the month, feeling a bit nauseaded the past few days, but I havent really felt myself for a few weeks. I was diagnosed with viral labyrinthitis 2 weeks ago which is a virus that attacks your inner ear and disrupts your balance. Its kinda like verdigo. Makes you feel yucky. So im not sure if thats what it maybe that is making me feel this way?? Initally I thought it might be morning sickness but alas it was not....Never had morning sickness with my last pregnancy so I wouldnt even know what it would feel like. Hopefully I dont get it with this one. It will make my job difficult seeing as that I am usually in the back of an ambulance with a patient....oh well if thats what I have to get to get preggo then so be it. Hope everyone else is doing well, just love this site! I think Im a bit addicted eh? lol!

Tues Aug 5th

Well I am around cd 23 now and am scheduled to have AF on the 10th, my cycle ranges from about 28-29 days (pretty regular) Im getting really anxious to test. Im trying to wait until the weekend but not sure if I can wait that long!! My DH and I have been BDing every other day since AF ended so hopefully we "hit" the right days....Jeez I dont remember it beeing so difficult the first time. Maybe I just didnt think about it so much. This time we also are planning how far appart we want the second to be from the first so we kinda have a time line, with the first we didnt really care so much when it happend. Guess we will see!!

Fri Aug 8th

Cd 26 now....hpt BFN!!!! Ugh! I was really hoping for even a faint line...anything but nothing. Well I guess its not over yet. AF due on sun so I will wait till sometime then or after to test. Kinda bummed out now. But there is still a glimmer of hope I will get my BFP.

Mon Aug 11th

well 1 day past expected AF, going to go and buy another hpt and see what happens. Not expecting much. If its a BFN today then I will wait a week and see what happens if AF still hasnt shown up. Still dont have any signs of pregnancy or AF so who knows?

dollar store hpt-BFN:( oh well wait till the weekend I guess.....checked test later this eve, i know its past the time but saw a very faint BFP! Dont know if its an evap line or what will test tomorrow with FMU....

Tues Aug 12th

2 days past AF now and took dollar store hpt this am with FMU and after about 3 mins got another vary faint positive...hmmmm?? Going to get a more expensive ept and test today and tomorrow am again and see what I get. I will keep everyone posted!

Tested with a first response and BFP!!! Im so excited I can hardly wait to tell my DH.
