I Think I was 14 or 16 Weeks here! It's much bigger now :-)

Thomas at 1 1/2

The daddy!

My Boys!

My 1st Baby!!! Thomas

Can i firstly say I know this isn't a great pic of me but i never have a good pic!

I am a married mummy with a little boy called Thomas who is 3 1/2 and he is lovely! very excited about having a little brother or sister.

I work as a Finance Assistant and am lucky enough to only work during school hours.

I have been married to my husband Erik for 4 years now but we have been together for 10 years this nov! since I was 15! he was my best friends brother but worked out well!

22nd May 2007- 19weeks today!

Well i haven't been writing a diary of my pregnancy so have decided to start today better late than never! Today I am 19weeks and feeling ok except i still keep having headaches! haven't felt the baby move today yet! makes me worry when I don't feel it even though the feelings have only just started still wish they were stronger. I have been feeling a bit ill in the mornings again. Have our 20week sacn week today I really would like to know the sex of the baby but my husband wants it to be a suprise part of me does too! I know it will be nice on the day it's one or the other just as long as he/she is ok I have a feeling it's a boy though maybe because we have a boy already but just have a feeling.Been getting really tired in the afternoons again though but now it's getting to the point where i feel really weak with tiredness oh well it's not a easy job making a whole baby, so is well worth it! :-) Oh and today my hasband asked if he can go on a stag weekend to amsterdam! on the 8th of June so because I said yes he said we can find out the sex of the baby soince he said no! but it has nothing to do with it and i know he will be gutted not having a suprise and i'm quite looking forward to a suprise now so i'm not going to!

OMG, I have been so busy with Katelyn, I have neglected the ppl that I made friends with, I am so sorry. How have u been? How has little Katy been going? Is everything ok with her and you? How is Thomas likeing being a big brother? I bet he loves it! I s she a real daddie's little girl? I know Katelyn defintly is...lol, her face lights up when she see's dad of an afternoon, and her gaze follows him around the house, it is so cute, like today for instance, she has been crying/screaming non stop and as soon as dad walks through the door, she bloody well smiles at him,,,ohh and she refused to feed, she hadn't eaten in 6 hrs, as soon as dad walks in the door she drinks 2 bottles for him, in total 240ml.... cheeky little monkey she is. Katey is absolutly gorgeous, u guy's couldn't ask for a prettier looking baby. So I hope everything is going good for u guy's, take care.

Awwww... you seriously have the cutest little guy EVER!! I hope Cian is just like Thomas. What a sweetie!! And I can't believe those gals said that to you!! I would have lost it and gone off on them!! Some people have such low class. Insane, really. I'm glad you had your little man there to cheer you up. What a champ that guy is! =)

shazza - Wednesday, 3 Oct
Haha!! That baby would have probably dropped straight out of me if Cory would have scared me like that!! Ha! I know what you mean with the contractions... I'm beyond pissed off. Its so freakin' annoying! I've been so cranky lately too. Like the littlest things set me off! I got SO mad at Cory the other day for not getting the mail when I wanted him to. Haha. I'm such a brat! I can't help it though... my hormones are raging! I can't imagine doing this with another child in the house. You're definitely super Mom!! I bet Thomas is so ready too... he's gonna be an awesome big brother! Well keep me posted with how you're doing. Hopefully we'll be done here SOON! =)

shazza - Wednesday, 3 Oct
Unfortunetly, nothing major to report. Still spotting a bit... contractions every now and then, but nothing consistent. Boo. I was SO hoping something was happening! Oh well.... only a few weeks to go. How are you feeling?

shazza - Tuesday, 2 Oct
I haven't called the doctor... do you think I should? I have a feeling they'll tell me I've got bloody show because of being checked yesterday... which totally could be the case. BUT... throwing up and diarreah too?? I hope its something more! I may just wait and see what happens. I hope I'm like your sister!

shazza - Tuesday, 2 Oct
So maybe there is something to the tea! I was SO disappointed after the appointment yesterday. But last night I lost some of my mucus plug! A few hours later I started feeling super crampy and ended up getting really sick. (thought it might be the flu bug)... but now I've got a bit of diarrhea (tmi...soz) and some bloody show. Maybe maybe something is starting! Oh I hope. (and the tea isn't even gross... I just put some honey in it and it tastes pretty dang good!)

shazza - Monday, 1 Oct
So I'm totally not even dialating! I was so bummed. She said my cervix is super soft... but no progress with dialation. Boo. Good news... the raspberry leaf tea came in today! I got the tea bags because they still didn't have the capsules. I'm gonna get this boy coming. Fingers crossed!! =)

carla25 - Monday, 1 Oct
i've been lucky but didn't get too lucky. I've got stretch marks on my sides and on my bum but so far not on my tummy or boobs (I'm sure that'll come when I have bub #2 hehe!) My hubby laughs at me cos I always cover up my bum if I'm getting changed or walking past him with pants lol. In queensland we only seem to get summer/winter...no autumn/spring. It's hot from about Sept through to April and then the winter seems to come over for May-Aug - one extreme to the other. Thank goodness this baby will be out before the scorching heat comes in about nov/dec. Wel, I'd better be off bed & try to get some sleep (2am here).Enjoy your day, talk to you soon : )

shazza - Monday, 1 Oct
I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota... kinda in the middle northern part of the states. Its really beautiful here. Lots of mountains and fun outdoorsey stuff to do. It's home. But between Cory and I, we've traveled quite a bit and love going to new places. You DEFINITELY need to take the kids to Disneyworld!! I went there for the first time last Janurary (right before we got pregnant) and had the best time ever!! It was SO much fun!! I keep telling Cory I want to go again. Such a blast! Its funny because the one place I've always wanted to live is in Britain. Cory and I had actually talked about taking a year or two and just moving there. We have some friends living in London and thought it would be a fun random thing to do. But then baby came along and we decided we may need to wait a bit. Haha. Maybe someday we'll get over for a visit!

carla25 - Monday, 1 Oct
thx Rebecca! I don't feel great- i look tired all the time! Even when I get a good nights sleep I still end up looking like i haven't had enough. It's getting really hot here in brisbane now soI've got grossly swolen feet & ankles!? I don't know if you've seen pics of actress Isla Fisher at the moment with her swollen feet/legs - well, that's me lol! You have a gorgeous belly & your son is a real cutie!

shazza - Monday, 1 Oct
So these days Thanksgiving is basically an excuse to eat an excessive amount of Turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie only to fall asleep soon after while watching our good ol' american football games. But traditionally it was a time to give thanks to God after the Harvest. It started WAY back in the day when the first pilgrims came over to America. It is by far one of my favorite holidays for the food alone! Haha! In other news... I started having STRONG contractions Saturday morning (about 3 am)... but they went away after I took a shower. boo. I was SO bummed! I wanted to wake Cory up and tell him it was time. Hehe. Wishful thinking. I have another appointment tomorrow... I'm praying she'll check me and I'm like 3 cm dialated! Again... wishful thinking. =) Haha.

nyam123 - Sunday, 30 Sep
I knew before the doctor told me that I was dialated, I just didn't know how much. I had been getting these really sharp cervical twinges for a few weeks before the doctor checked me and I suspected it was my cervix opening. Every week I seem to have more of those pains, and every week I have dialated more. I hope you get to have a vaginal birth this time. I have never had a c-section, but I've heard the recovery is not any fun. I had to have an episiotomy with my son, only a few stitches, and it was really sore. I cannot imagine how sore a c-section would be. I have never had my water break on its own either. Wonder if it will this time? That has got to be a weird feeling. I already feel like the baby is going to fall out. I bet the water breaking will really 'up's' that sensation. I have a ton of girl stuff. The baby will share a room with her big sister. If it turns out to be a boy, he'll be wearing alot of pink for a while.

nyam123 - Sunday, 30 Sep
I wouldn't say I have huge babies. My son was 9lbs 2oz and my daughter was 7lbs 9oz. I guess that is all about normal. They were both born on thier due dates. I don't think doctors really know how big a baby is. I have read that they are wrong about the weight 85% of the time, even with an ultrasound. I am supposed to be having another girl, but lately have been having dreams that it is a boy. I don't know if I am more nervous that I have all this pink stuff or that maybe the weight is associated with gender, and that is why I am measuring bigger. I am so nervous about the birth. I hope it all goes really fast. I had the epidural with my son but not with my daughter. I almost hope I don't make it in time for the epidural. The labor/delivery was so much faster without it. Are you going to try a vaginal birth this time?

Bek 30 - Sunday, 30 Sep
Hi Rebecca, Sorry for not writing back straight away. The surgeon was really nice and put my mind at ease. I have booked in for the surgery so I am not sure when it is happening, he wants to wait till baby is born. He is hoping my baby makes it's entrance between a sunday and tuesday as he does surgery at the same hospital every wednesday, so if me and bubby r in maternity on a wednesday then they will whisk me in for surgery that day. He dosen't c the point in me and bubby being sent home till I can get a surgery date, besides then I will have to have some one take more time off work for a few days and thats not fair on my family. He also promised no scars will be left alone....lol. How are u feeling? Everyone seems desperate to get their babies out, and r trying everything possiable to get it started....silly, if baby isn't ready it can turn into one long nightmare of a labour. I'm just sitting back now and enjoying it, and knowing that when she is ready, it should be an easier birth then my son. Anyway I better go give my don some breakfast, talk soon, take care.

Love your pics. Yep, had the membranes stripped. I had never had that done before and really didn't know what to expect. The whole process didn't hurt at all. I am 3cm now and the pubic pain still hurts pretty bad. A few hours after the doc stripped my membranes, I started having really bad contractions. I was cussing the doctor at this point. Of course, it doesn't do much good to yell at the doctor when your laying in bed crying like the soon to be born baby. Last night I had a bloody show, but I think it was from the doctor's visit. My back started hurting pretty bad and I was on the verge of panic. I really didn't realize how unprepared I was until the prospect of actually having the baby before my due date hit. About 1 in the morning all the back pain and contractions stopped. I wonder now if stripping the membranes is even worth it. The only reason the doctor did it is because of the SPD and he thinks the baby is on the big size. I've read it doesn't work unless the baby is ready, so I guess the baby is not ready yet. It is crazy that we only have 2 weeks or so left. Do you think you are dialated at all? Angela.

shazza - Saturday, 29 Sep
Got it! I'll make sure to drop ya an email here sometime. =) And I hear ya about the weight thing. We've got Thanksgiving AND Christmas coming up! Not to mention the fact that before we got pregnant I told my hubby no babies before I lose the weight I put on after we got married. 3 days later I took a pregnancy test and well... the rest is history! So now I've got a good 50 pounds to lose. UGH! I've never been this huge in my entire life!!

shazza - Friday, 28 Sep
Lets for sure keep in touch!! =) Did you get the private message I sent you with my email addy in it?

shazza - Friday, 28 Sep
Glad to hear you are all well! I had another fun filled 2 1/2 hours in the hospital yesterday. *Ugh!* I got super dizzy and my vision went crazy again. Called the doctor and she said to just head straight into the hospital. After monitoring the baby forever and taking labs on me... we found out that I'm not eating enough protein! Haha! I'm not a huge fan of eggs or meat, so I wasn't that suprised. I was having contractions tho!! Just not regular, so that was a bummer. I have another appointment on Monday, so hopefully she'll check me and tell me not long now. Fingers crossed!! =) Anyway, I don't know if I'll do talking babies. Are you?? I'll send you my private email address just in case I'm not on as much as usual. Who knows... I probably will be! haha. So our healthfood store was completely out of raspberry leaf tea!! She said there has been lots of pregnant ladies in this past month and cleared out the stock. She has more on order though. Let me know if it helps at all!

shazza - Thursday, 27 Sep
Can you believe we're in the teens... 19 days to go! WOOHOO!!! I hear ya with the pressure. Just the past few days I've been feeling LOADS of pressure down low. I'm not sure if thats because he's engaged or not... but I'm guessing so. We have an appointment Monday, so I'm sure she'll check me and let me know. I HOPE SO!! And I'm going to go get the raspberry leafe tea today! hahaha!! I've heard about it before, but haven't given it a go. I can't let you go off and have your baby before me! ;) Hehe. Anyway, I finally typed up my birth plan and talked with a nurse at the hospital on the phone about it yesterday.... it really hit me when I got off the phone that this is happening. Isn't it nuts that in a few short weeks we'll be hauling babies around?! Crazy. Ha! Anyway, how's your week going?? How's little Thomas and Hubby doing? Hope you are well girl! Fingers crossed we'll both be done here soon. =)

shazza - Sunday, 23 Sep
Sounds like you have an awesome midwife!! Definitely helps the process knowing you're in good hands, hey? And I'm SO glad your baby is ok!! Sometimes when our little one doesn't move I get so freaked out. Thankfully it hasn't happened for a super extended period of time. I hear ya with the sleep problems. I'm MAYBE getting 4 hours a night. I've turned into this cranky pregnant lady. I get so annoyed with such stupid little things!! Sometimes I snap at the hubby and then afterwords I feel bad... but I'm usually too stuborn to apologize. EEK. Kinda feel bad for the boy. I blame it totally on lack of sleep. Ha! Hope you all are having a lovely weekend over there!! Try to rest up... not long to go now!
