I Think I was 14 or 16 Weeks here! It's much bigger now :-)

Thomas at 1 1/2

The daddy!

My Boys!

My 1st Baby!!! Thomas

Can i firstly say I know this isn't a great pic of me but i never have a good pic!

I am a married mummy with a little boy called Thomas who is 3 1/2 and he is lovely! very excited about having a little brother or sister.

I work as a Finance Assistant and am lucky enough to only work during school hours.

I have been married to my husband Erik for 4 years now but we have been together for 10 years this nov! since I was 15! he was my best friends brother but worked out well!

22nd May 2007- 19weeks today!

Well i haven't been writing a diary of my pregnancy so have decided to start today better late than never! Today I am 19weeks and feeling ok except i still keep having headaches! haven't felt the baby move today yet! makes me worry when I don't feel it even though the feelings have only just started still wish they were stronger. I have been feeling a bit ill in the mornings again. Have our 20week sacn week today I really would like to know the sex of the baby but my husband wants it to be a suprise part of me does too! I know it will be nice on the day it's one or the other just as long as he/she is ok I have a feeling it's a boy though maybe because we have a boy already but just have a feeling.Been getting really tired in the afternoons again though but now it's getting to the point where i feel really weak with tiredness oh well it's not a easy job making a whole baby, so is well worth it! :-) Oh and today my hasband asked if he can go on a stag weekend to amsterdam! on the 8th of June so because I said yes he said we can find out the sex of the baby soince he said no! but it has nothing to do with it and i know he will be gutted not having a suprise and i'm quite looking forward to a suprise now so i'm not going to!

Oh, haha, I had to start a new page because I was unable to log in to the other one. I tried for a couple weeks. So, there are 2 of me on here..just can't get to the other. Weird) My hubby wants to know too. If he didn't, I guess I would not find out either. I'm having those braxton hicks cont. already. Did u have those with ur son? They started yesterday & lasted a few hrs. & same for today. As much as I love being pregnant..I can't wait for Oct. so scary sometimes!!!

melissa29 - Wednesday, 16 May
A friend of mine was pregnant with twins recently & the samething happened. She found out in the first trimester when they did another u/s & the other sac was empty. She didn't have any bleeding either, but she had some brown spotting which is common during the first trimester. DOn't worry. Most m/s if not close to all will happen in the first trimester because the baby was not developing properly. We are passed that stage & our babies are safe. I have had 3 1st trim m/s. I feel I am safe. I do get scared though too. We just have to hope for the best. Take care..

With my son I had a handful of really bad contractions before my epidural. While I was pushing him out, I was using the bowel muscles instead of the stomach and vaginal ones. It is really hard to tell the difference when you have the epidural. No one told me that. The result was really bad hemorrhoids. I am grateful still for the epidural with him because he was 9lbs 2oz and I had to have an episiotomy. He was crowned for almost 45 minutes and the second the Dr. cut me he was born. I could not walk around for a really long time after the epidural and my back was tender for weeks. You don't really feel pain with the meds, but you still feel mega pressure and it might as well be just as bad. Now with my daughter I didn't make it to the hospital in time for the epidural. Once you pass 6-8 centimeters (depending on the doctor), they will not even try the epidural (here anyway) because it is just too late. I begged for the epidural. I just knew she was going to be huge and I was going to be cut again. She was crowning and I was actually screaming at the doctor to cut me. I didn't want her stuck down there like my son was. My water had not broke yet, and I thought it was her head crowning, when it was the bag of water. Did you know you can actually deliver without the water ever breaking? Well that would have been me. Once the doctor broke my water, one push and she was out. It is alot easier to tell which are the right muscles to use when you do not have the epidural. I was able to walk around immediately. I did not even feel like I had just had a baby. No back pain, nothing. My daughter weighed 7lbs 9oz and my total hard labor was about 45 minutes (I live 45 minutes from the hospital, they said if my water had broke, she would have been born in the car). I am going to try to go natural again because there was virtually no recovery period. Once the baby crowns, the pain is no worse than the labor. And when the head is born it is the best and the worse pain at the same time. I am also going to leave for the hospital when I feel my first contraction. Last time I kept telling myself they were alot worse with my son, so we just hung out at the house. My husband stood on the gas the whole way to the hospital. He turned a 45 minute ride into 15 to 20 minutes. I was trying not to push the whole time. I hope you do not need a C-Section again. It really does not sound like you had a good experience with it. Angela.

hiya how r u today? my sickness had dissappeared for a week or so then came back yesterday im used to it now it doesnt bother me anymore lol al part of the process. i cant believe im almost halfway there already its flying by. im just trying to keep hopes up & not stress too much about this problem i have cos im sure everything will be ok. im going to stop smoking aswelll which i should have done ages ago but never managed it but it could save my life so this has given me a masive wakeup call. xx

nyam123 - Wednesday, 16 May
I had never thought about having a C-Section and nursing before. I bet that is so painful, like the baby chomping on our nipples isn't bad enough. It seems we cannot get away from the pain. Around every corner is another painful expierence. I have been bored out of my mind lately. I have caught myself reading ahead in the 39 and 40 weeks comments boards and just day dreaming I was there already. Kind of a nosy question, I hope you do not mind my asking. Did you opt of a C-Section with your son, or was there a problem? I am curious because alot of women here opt for it so that it doesn't stretch their girl parts and interfere with their sex life after the baby is born. I had both mine vaginally, one with an epidural and one without. The one without was not my choice, she just decided she wasn't waiting for it. I remember begging for it as I was pushing her out. Back to the breast feeding, I like the convience of it, but not the dependability of it. It kinda stinks to be the only person who can feed the baby, as if we are not at its beck and call 24 hours a day already. I don't much have a choice this time around. The formula is so expensive and with three kids, we are pinching all the pennies we can. Angela.

hiya hows u? its serious enough to need treatment the treatment could harm the baby thats why its not being done til after the birth.it can turn cancerous if its not treated or checked on. im so pissed off with everything i really am. the reason i came on this site was to give and receive support from other pregnant mums but they never even speak unless its too each other.

Michelle T - Tuesday, 15 May

Will the Ultra Sound Tech not tell you what you are having? Or does your husband just not want to know? Because if the later is true, I am afraid I would have to tell him to get over it :) At the very least, if you want to know, just find out and don't tell him. He should not even go to the ultra sound because he might recognize the baby parts, especially if it is a boy. I think for all we have to go through to have the baby, the man shouldn't have a say in whether we find out if it is a boy or a girl. We've earned at least that much. Have the men been throwing up or getting up to potty all night, or do their nipples feel like they have been in a vice? What about the nonstop headaches or the never ending heartburn that resembles a volcano errupting. Do they suffer from constipation and possible hemmroids? Or maybe their stomachs are itching so bad that a wire brush is all they can think about and their feet are so swollen that they do not recognize them. Perhaps they are having moodswings and anxiety attacks. Not to mention none of their clothes fit. Sorry, I think I am a little bit hormonal today. I am calming down now :) As for the vacation, we are going to try to go to the Gulf Coast. It is about a 6 hour drive, but since I am pregnant, it will mostly likely be an 8 hour drive due to the frequent pit stops. It will be so hot I am sure. We will be there for the Fourth of July, so they will have a ton of fireworks to watch. We are going on a tight budget, so the fireworks are like free entertainment. We think it will be the last vacation for a long time. I am going to nurse the baby, and really do not want to travel and breast feed at the same time. I nursed my daughter for 7 months and rarely left the house. Are you planning to nurse? Angela.

dianem - Monday, 14 May
They both wanted a brother to start with but now they have got used to it they are really excited and keep talking about names and picking out pink clothes!! Let me know how you get on with Erik!

nyam123 - Monday, 14 May
Rebecca, I go for my ultra sound on the 24th. I will be exactly 19 weeks then. I hope they can tell me what the sex is. We have the only girl for the grandparents on both sides of the family. There are 6 boys and everyone thinks we are going to have another boy. I don't really care, I just hope it is healthy. What are you wanting this time around? As for my daughter, we are waiting until after July to have any more tests done. The doc does not think it will make a difference to wait 6 weeks, as for now, she does not have any infection. We are going to try to go on vacation and if she has tubes in her ears, she cannot get in the water. She may not even need anything (keeping our fingers crossed). They said her ear behavior is typical of Middle Ear Disease, on again, off again, infections. But I think it was the wrong diagnosis to begin with, and that is why she does not have any infection now. We are keeping an eye on her. I think the pregnancy will feel alot more real when my kids can feel the baby move. I haven't felt anything in a while, just the occasional heavy feeling. Talk to you later. Angela.

dianem - Monday, 14 May
Oh... And I found out out the sex of my second child but my hubby didn't want to know. I just kept it to myself which was difficult but I managed it!!

dianem - Monday, 14 May
Hi Rebecca. Thanks for your comment. Your little boy Thomas is so cute. I need to get some pictures on here too. We're also trying to sell the house but no luck yet. Hopefully before October. Good luck

sabrynasablan - Sunday, 13 May
congrats, were close in due dates. How's your pregnancy??! Good luck with everything! -Sabryna

nyam123 - Sunday, 13 May
Hi Rebecca. I just read in the comment section that you had a scare the other day. I am so glad you are okay. Isn't this all so unpredictable? I have not felt the baby move in forever. I am begining to wonder if I ever really felt it move at all or if it was just gas or my active imagination. Do you ever feel like you are carrying around a bowling ball in your pelvis? Sometimes I get the strangest heavy feeling and then it's just gone. I haven't had any of the sharp pains you were describing yet. I bet you were so scared. Talk to you later, Angela.

mandiJ - Thursday, 10 May
Cool thanks for that. Yeah i'd be happy with the happy lil family of four. It's quite expensive here for rent and buying - especially the part of sydney we live in. But we dont wanna move away from our family just yet. My scan is at 11am on the 29th so it will b late there so we will both have to wait until the nxt day to find out. Hope all is well wit u xo

Michelle T - Thursday, 10 May
hey honey, just because yuor husband doesnt want to know the sex of the baby doesnt mean you cant find out. it will help you better prepare for the baby properly and if he doesnt want to know.... dont tell him!lol! but it realy does help to know. for purchase and gift reasons. if i have a girl we have decided on Trinity Nina and if its a boy we are gonna go with Alexander Hephastian. but i hope so hard that it is a girl. and let me tell ya.... i lost 5 lbs in the past wk and a half! thats not a bad thing concidering i am over weight by 60 lbs i need to lose the weight cause there is too much weight pushing on my spine causeing me to lose feeling in my arms and hands in the middle of the night thru morning. so i hope i can at least tone up a little. i been trying to excercise more and eat better.more friuts and salads than junk foods.how are you feeling today? well i hope! well hon i will talk to ya again later and hope you can find a boys name just in case.

stacyl - Thursday, 10 May
I could never have this one a suprise. We are so excited and we really would love to have a little boy but we will take a girl as well. Your little boy is to cute.

Michelle T - Wednesday, 9 May
hi hon. how are you feeling today? better i hope. those cramps should have gone away by now but if they havent they will soon. i have already had quite a few u-scans but i wont find out what i am haveing till june 4!! i am so excited to find out the suspence is awful.lol.i pray to god above it is a girl. as soon as i get the uscan i will post it for you to see. wish me luck

mandiJ - Wednesday, 9 May
Yeah we will definately! How far behind are you from Sydney Australia time? is it 14hrs behind? (my bro in law is in england at the moment) I dont think we'll have anymore. Not now anyway, we have our little girl and if we get our boy this time i'd say we'll stop but if we have another girl we might have another one in a few years. But we want to get married and buy a house and save ALOT more money before that happens. But honestly i'd be happy if it was the 4 of us. What u reckon?

Michelle T - Tuesday, 8 May
hey honey, how are you feeling today? i too have been haveing those same cramps and i went to the dr today and they said its called 'round ligiments' bacicaly its the mucles that are holding your tummy together are starting to move and stretch. its normal. it will happen a few more times between now and birth. i go to the dr once a week. i guess its cause i am a little paranoid that something will go wrong with this pregnancy. so if you need to talk or have anymore questions just let me know. :)

mandiJ - Tuesday, 8 May
Nope and we're not going to find out either. I found out with my daughter - did u find out with ur son? And since this could b our last one, i've always wondered what it would b like to have the docs and midwifes tell u what you had after labour. It's a bit exciting i think! haha how funny is that I have my 19wk ultra sound on the 29th may!!
