My name is Amanda and I gave birth to Rebekah Nichole on December 28, 2007. I followed my pregnancy with this site but never became a V.I.P. member. I wish I had because I feel like I know many of you that were due around my due date. I enjoyed reading your pages and comments throughout my pregnancy and cried each time I discovered one of you had given birth. Most of the time I felt like you were the only people who understood everything I was feeling, especially those last few weeks when time seemed to stand still and the waiting carried on forever. Rebekah's birth story is on her own page along with several of my favorite pictures. I would love for you to check it out!

God has blessed us so much and I am very excited to share that I am expecting another baby on January 21, 2009! It will be much more fun to follow along with everyone now that I'm officially a member. I really hope to make some new friendships as I share my little bundles of joy with all of you. My sweet husband, Kevin I love him so much!

I just LOVE watching my husband play with his baby girl! She smiles at his beard and enjoys hearing his voice when he talks specifically to her. It melts my heart to see how much he loves her. I am so thankful to God for giving him these joyful moments and I hope and pray my husband will have many more babies to love!

Hi, The recovery process is going ok. The bleeding has gotten a lot less. I am still sore from the tearing, but that has gotten a lot better.

I love being a mother, but feel tired a lot from the breast feeding every 2-3 hours. I know that it is a temporary situation and that after this stage she will be taking longer sleeps.

My immediate concern is that I am not making enough breast milk for my daughter. I am doing every thing that I am aware of to increase my supply. I know that demand increases supply, so I am trying to feed y daughter on demand and hope that at the next pediatrician appointment she has either gained weight or maintained her weight from birth.

No the thing is Mick would have just brushed his teeth but I can still smell what he ate!!!!! Poor guy, Well I've decided my body is truly screwed!!!!! I just had a tiny little bit of blood on the tp I mean come on AF shouldn't be here until Sat or Mon, stupid stupid body!!!!!!!

Hahahahaha LMAO about you waddling around after Bekah, what a site to see, hehehehehehe.

I haven't tried Ally on peas yet.....was Bekah gassy after them???

We're just staying home today, can't be bothered doing anything, I have to tidy up a little but thats it.

Well sounds like your pregnancy is in the full swing of things, lol, at least it's the toilet you gag at, the weirdest thing happened the other day.......when Mick kissed me while having snuggle time I had to try and stop myself from gagging......no idea why but I kept having to turn away and not kiss him because it was making me sick, poor guy probably had no idea about what was going on.

Well luckily I ended my last message when I did because when I went to check on Ally she was over near the plasma trying to open the dvd draws, man are we going to be in for it!!!!

Well I need to go tidy up while she's having her morning nap, I'll check in again later.

Well it was very very windy here last night, so windy that next door lost some of their roof!!!!! I didn't want to put Ally in her room so I set up the portacot and she slept in ours and man I had the best sleep ever!!!!!! She did wake for paci a couple times but once she got it, she didn't fuss she just went right back to sleep!!!!!
The wind seems to have settled a little today, it's still pretty windy but not as bad a last night.

Well once a gain I woke with a headache, I even had one when I went to bed last night, I guess it's a sign of AF coming, don't know why she's giving me so many headaches though!!!!

Well I'll write more later as Ally isn't in bed yet and I now need to keep an eye on her, lol

Oh my goodness...okay, I used to teach preschool at a small public school, but it is 25 miles away....so today I get a call from the superintendent there, he says there is a Kindergarten position available, he already talked to the board, they want me to have the position and he can offer it to me today without so much as an interview! Oh my.....I am so flattered, and I would love to teach Kindergarten, but the thought of Laney in daycare totally breaks my heart. I would still have my summers, and x-mas break and all that, but there is still going to be someone else caring for MY child at least 50 percent of the time. AHHHHH...I can't believe this, I have TWO hours to decide...then he is leaving and until Monday and Monday is his last day as superintendent and I would have to go through a formal interview process with the new guy. Seriously, I'm pretty sure I want to stay home, I mean I'm totally happy being home with Laney, but we would have extra money to get her nice things and take her places....Wow, sorry I am totally rambling, and Bill is no help, he says do what you want; I like having you home with Laney. So ya, that's my latest ordeal..I think I need a glass of wine, might have to do that after laney goes to bed. Thanks for letting me vent!

Thanks!! We just got married Saturday at our house with all our family there, it was really cool. I'm feeling ok, this week my blood sugars have started a roller coaster and lows feel awful! And my acne just won't let up either! I wonder sometimes why do we love being pregnant so much? :) How are things going with you?

Ok, sorry about that message, my hand slipped and added it before I was ready.

Next I want to try banana so I can give some at breakfast time, just don't want to give her a veggie at breakfast, seems weird. Oh ya, the peas again, you got them to be really smooth? I couldn't get the skins to get smooth, maybe I have a crappy food chopper, guess I could try the blender. Let me know what bekah thinks of them!

So I'm kind of bummed, today is my golden birthday and Bill is gone until friday now! My friends (good ones anyway) live to far away to just visit. Oh well, at least I have Laney!

She does really good with her sippy cup, she holds it, but sometimes misses her mouth soI guide it in for her yet. I was suprised I figured she would just play with it for a month or so.

Okay, off to do some laundry, again! Talk to you soon~

Oh how fun, the more read about your pregnancy, the more I think I'm ready :) Doesn't help either that my friend and her daughter were over a few days ago and Laney just loved having another baby around, she smiled and giggled at her constantly!

She liked the peas alot better mixed with the rice, by the end she even ate a few bites without the rice, just took some getting used to I guess, I don't think I would try 25 times though! She still just gets one veggie with her rice twice a day. I think nex

I buy instant porridge, you just put the oats in a bowl add formula a microwave then I add some banana, she loves it.

Speaking of that stupid paci, Ally's in her crib cracking it at the moment, lol. Well I gave her paci and she's still screaming, lol, grumpy little thing!!!!

I'm trying to get her to say Mama but it doesn't seem to be working hehehehe. What sort of noises does Bekah make??? Ally likes to make o noises.

It would be so funny and so typical if I was pregnant, the moment I get serious about loosing weight!!!!!!!

I hear ya about the stupid repeats on tv, although you are so ahead of us in all our tv shows!!!!!

Well she's still going but has turned it down a notch!!!! Ok paci is in again, and we've gone down another level, lol

Well I think that was one of the longest posts yet!!!!! hehehehehe, I completely understand your grumpiness caused by hunger, I'm quite sure that when I was pregnant with Ally I actually threatened Mick a few times, poor guy!!!! hehehehe.

I bought the chicken with noodles and vegies already pre made, I did make her porridge myself though, I think thats her fav at the moment. I did however blend up potatoes, broc, beans, carrots and some silverside, it's not completely smooth but I figure she eats lumpy porridge so she'll probably eat that to, haven't tried it yet though I just put small portions in the freezer, I'll try it tomorrow.

It doesn't surprise me that you slept for so long...... your body has been working in overdrive!!!! Good to hear you had a great time though.

Well it's official I can no longer be on the computer when Ally is awake as she now disappears on me, she rolls and pulls herself from one end of the room to the other, I found her near the front door the other day, little rat bag!!!!

Well I woke up with another headache today although it wasn't as bad as yesterdays. AF is due in 4-6 days, I'm quite sure she will show up as I kinda got slack on the BDing thing, hehehehehe, I just hate the stress of it all.

Well I still haven't managed to kill that stupid paci

I feel bad if I take it away from her, can't wait until she can put it back in herself, she is getting there though, I went in her room just then and she picked it up and put it back in, hehehehehe.

Well I'm off to brush my teeth and hair.

Hello again! Glad to hear you got back safely and are getting regrouped :) I know it's a pain getting back in the groove after just a few days, I can't imagine a week or more!

That is odd that Bekah was struggling keeping things down, hope it gets better! Laney tried peas yesterday, they were definetly not her favorite. She ate a few making a funny face, then she didn't want any more. I am going to mix some with her cereal today and hopefully get her used to the taste a little more gradually, I'm not sure how many times to try before you just give in a say they don't like that veggie. The texture is very weird on the peas b/c the skins are so tough, they didn't puree real nice, and I even put it through a sieve thing. So I tried a boughten jar of baby food peas and that really gagged her, so it must not be the texture. She has her sippy cup figured out, it is so cute. I just put a little water in there for when we are outside she sucks on it and lets the water come rolling out most of the time, she thinks its pretty fun.

But anyways, let me know how you girls are doing! How have you been feeling other than tired?

Must have been wonderful to see your sister!!!!! Sounds like she loved seeing you guys to!!!!

So feeling tired after our trip are we????? hehehehehe, bet it was worth it though!!!!

Well Ally now successfully sleeps with 1 arm out of her wrap, wooohooo, we will do this for a week and then try it with both arms out.

So I've decided that if I'm not pregnant this month I'm going to put TTC on hold and go on some medication to help me loose this flab!!!!! Didn't do much BDing but I suppose you never know, lol.

I had the worst headache ever this morning, it's been years and years since I'd had one this bad!!!! So horrible have no idea what caused it, I wouldn't think it would be my back as I've had a sore back for weeks, ah well it's almost gone now.

So what else did you get up to while visiting your family??? Did Bekah do anything new???? Is she attempting to crawl yet??? Ally is, she lifts her legs right under her belly then grasps a handful of carpet and pulls herself forward, hehehehe it's so funny!!!!

How's Bekah going with her food??? I gave Ally honey flavored porridge with mushed banana, wasn't sure if she was going to like it as it's not smooth but never before has she cleaned the bowl so well!!!!! hehehehehe, she also likes chicken with noodle and vegies, I buy it in a can (I'm lazy) but she loves it.

I bought her the new sippy cup bottle that they have brought out here, it's got like a large bottle teat but it's on a sippy cup with handles so she can practice holding her own bottle, pitty she doesn't like it, hehehehehe, ahhhh Mama's going to be holding her bottle for ever!!!! hehehehe

Well I'm off for now, time to watch a little t.v, hehehehe
