My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

hi, well it confuses me as its 5 months/20 weeks since she was born but she was born on the 3rd june so doesnt that make her 4 and a half months???

How r u feeling??? Not long now, its gone so quick!!I dont know if its a good thing or not that u know whats gonna happen!hehe!

Im starting a parent course next week with loads of other mothers which will be nice for me!

Mias good though shes rolling about, loves her food, shes in her cot now, as i was just putting her in her moses in her cot but actually put her in her own bed tonight!

Thanks, ya that is so sick...I deleted her bikini pics and I had one diaper one. What is wrong with people!?!?

Ya, I used to not be good at confronting people, but its amazing what you can do/say when its for your baby! I was wondering about the whole seat thing, I think laney meets the weight requirement, but I think they still want them to be at least one. She does okay backwards I guess, so I won't rush it.

My friends daughter (the one six months older than laney) still only has the two teeth, her two tops are just about through, finally! Crazy how different they all develop, even with walking and everything, my other friends son (also six months older) isn't walking yet. Which brings me to very exciting news.....Laney took TWO steps today. I was so pumped. She had been standing on her own very steady and she would take one and fall, but today she did two. Goodness, I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
As for the sippy cup, she does a little better, she seems to only do it herself if its juice/water mixed in there. Formula or just water she takes a couple drinks and then doesn't want much to do with it. Little turkey. Oh and get this, she does her two finger grasp really good, just won't put it in her mouth. I watch her pick them up and then she just puts em down..HELLO!!!What is she doing, she puts big crackers in mouth just fine. I don't know what her deal is:)

That's awesome that bekah is eating so good, I got a lot of crap for how much I fed Laney over the weekend from my grandma...she pretty much called laney chunky and said she better be active if she is going to keep eating like that..I was a little offended! Thats a good idea with the lunch meat, so far I have just ground up chicken with veggies and beef with veggies.

Noah sounds so fun, I wish I could feel the kicks....makes me want to be pregnant again :) I keep watching a baby story too, I need to quit that.

I haven't finished the book yet, still good though, although he could keep his religious thoughts to himself! There was only about two sentences in there where he talks about it, oh well, I guess everyone believes what they want to.

Oh, I know this probably a dumb question but....how do you sell stuff on ebay, is it hard? I tried a few years ago and I gave up when it got to the shipping part b/c I didn't know how much to put. I'm so computer illiterate sometimes :) But I suppose I better shower for the night. Laney and Bill are going to have a long afternoon tomorrow, I have to go the dentist..YUCK!! I need a filling and some other little things done. At least laney will get away from me for awhile, her seperation anxiety is kind of peaking, hopefully this will help.

Hey there - How are you? I wanted to get that info on the cloth diapers from you. Where you got them? Cost?? How to use them?? etc. We are seriously going to consider it bc diapers are going to cost us $80-100 per month for two babies. Oh and didn't you say you didn't start using them until Bekah was a certain age?? Thanks!

Home sweet home, at last! I sure miss my own bed when we are away, I don't know how Bill does it!

Good work on the house! I wish mine was all cleaned, I'm looking at the kitchen floor and it needs swept very badly! Bill must be like Kevin, or like most guys in general...the house has to be absolutely horrible before he would notice something different. Or maybe the just don't say anything b/c then we tell them to do something about it:)

Tooth number is almost all the way through, its broken skin anyway. It will be interesting to see if another starts right away, they came in twos before. How crazy about her outfit, she must be getting so tall. Laney has a couple pants that are like my favorite and they are starting to look like floods on here, I just hate to retire them, but its time :( At least we get to break out some of those clothes we bought!!!

Family camp sounds fun, I could never talk Bill into something like that though. Your lucky Kevin likes that stuff too. Bill would rather just be home, but I can kind of understand since he has to be gone so much for work. Are there games and stuff or is it for socializing, worship?

About our weekend, it went okay. My father in law was actually the one that got my blood boiling more then the MIL, believe it or not. He was having a beer while holding laney and I was turned the other way, all of sudden everyone makes this gasping noise so I turn around and hes holding the beer by her mouth! So I of course freak out, DID YOU GIVE HER BEER!?!!?!? And he just kept saying no, I wouldn't do that but in a sarcastic way like maybe he did. Well finally my brother in law told me that no he didn't, he just teased her with it. Then my FIL decides to argue with me about, what would be the big deal if I did give her a sip, did you not drink before you were old enough? Seriously what kind of arguement is that, she is 8 months old! So we argued back and forth and finally I told him if he wanted to feed a baby beer he better have some of his own and let me raise laney how I want to. Grrrr...and they wonder why I don't want to leave her there. My MIL wasn't to bad, just her usual self, over bearing and right in her face 24/7. I'm so thankful we don't live closer to them, although it would be great to live closer to my mom. :) Funny how that works. Other than that, theres not a whole lot entertaing to write about. Anything happen on your weekend? Kevin still loving the new job and hours?

Oh, I was going to ask you how much "mushed" food bekah is getting these days? I debating if I should mush more as laney is running out...she still does good letting me feed her with a spoon, so I might keep going...hows bekah do with that, is she wanting to try on her own yet? And hows little noah? Active as ever I bet! Hope to hear from you soon- I missed our chats!! Have a good one!!

Yeah we just had simple bdays, no friends, just us family we took them to the store and let them pick two toys they wanted and got pics., we got them winter coats and came home and let them make their own mini pizzas and I made homemade yellow cakes with a berries on top. It was less stressful. I also never had time to wrap, I still have the paper! They loved it! and they got what they wanted, no wasted money. My DH thinks bdays and holidays are to ornamental and stressful, we should appreciate everyday. I think the same but it's just fun for the kids! They grow so fast!
Also I took down my pics after I heard about all the online child predators on Oprah, just to be safe. I couldn't believe the statistics, I dont remember now, it was a couple weeks ago, you could check it out.
