My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Yeah, it's definitely fun to shop for baby girl stuff. It's all so cute. We have our baby shower scheduled for Nov 15th, that sucks about your last shower! I don't really know that many people in Joplin so mine will probably be mostly his famiy as the majority of mine live too far away. What if you did a little party after the baby is born so people can meet him/her? Gifts could be optional or it could be themed like a book party and everyone could bring baby a book or something. That way people won't have to spend a ton of money, but that way you can still celebrate. Can't wait to hear what you find out tomorrow! Good luck-Jessica

You have such an exciting week.....found out the gender SO soon and hopefully good news about the job later this week. You two will have to do some celebrating!

So I don't know what the deal is with her rash, but it is definetly worse and not better. I called her doctor to see, so I'm just waiting for the call back. Hope its soon, if I have to go to town and get something different I want to do it early. I wonder how they get that?!?!

Laney tried her whole wheat pasta last night, I just let her gum it up and she did really good, seemed to like it. I tried it and thought it was pretty awful, but as long as she likes it. I was going to grind it up with veggies but I got lazy and she usually does good gumming.

Well, gonna keep this one short, seems like laundry and cleaning are way behind..talk to you later!

That sale sounds SO fun, I wish we had something like that! So is tomorrow the big day or is it Wednesday? I am so excited to find out....takes me back :)

So Laney sleeping in really threw her day off, she was sort of cranky for a lot of the day, mostly b/c her naps were off and she just didn't want to take them, (what else is new). She is so naughty when it comes to naps, I let her scream and I mean scream for fifteen minutes thinking she would give in b/c she was so tired and she did not let down once had her self worked up to coughing, ugh it was awful. Plus I dont know if I told you or not but she has this fungal rash on her bottom and I got a cream for her from the doc, last week but it is worse not better, so that is probably itchy or bugging her too.

So how did Kevin's interview go? Did you hear anything yet....I sure hope you get some good news! We still haven't heard anything on Bills situation, go figure.

Well, I suppose better go get some more of that quality time I have been craving :) Have a good one!

We registered at Target and Babies R Us. The crib and breast pump were the most expensive items, otherwise everything was $100 or less. When are you having your baby shower? I'm excited for you to find out too. It was such a big deal in the pregnancy and now we just have to wait!

How exciting, you will know SO soon!!! I had in my head the sale was this weekend, how perfect that its after, where is it at?

Glad to hear Bekah is doing better with her meat, I made that whole grain rice with some veggies and blended it. I have yet to get Laney to eat more than two bites of it. I don't know if its the texture or what, I think the taste is pretty good, but I guess that doesn't mean she would :) Maybe I'll grind up the pasta with veggies instead, that texture might be a little smoother, but shes got to get used to eventually, she will probably really struggle with meat.

So how has your new morning routine been going? Still getting her back to sleep with music? This morning laney got up at 6:30, I have her a bottle and she is still asleep and its 8:20! Just like she used to do, probably a fluke deal though, she didn't fall asleep until 8:30 last night and napped horribly. But we were hauling her all over to the parade and all sorts of things so she was pretty content.

So yes, the rest of our weekend went awesome, so great having Bill around. Then when we went to bed last night he got a call to go do a life source (they have to go pick up a team of doctors and take them to wherever the hospital is that has an organ donor that has passed), so he had to do that last night and just got home around 8 this morning. So I suppose he will be napping much of the morning, but at least he'll be home during the day!

Oh man, I need to quit rambling on, I hope you guys are having a great day! Belly rubs and hugs to Bekah!!

We've bought a few things for her, mostly cute clothes we find. We haven't started buying diapers mostly because I have no idea what brand to buy or how much of what size! We did get most of our registering done this weekend which was fun but a little overwhelming again due to being first time parents and really having no clue :) I'll be thinking of you Wednesday and will be excited to hear your news. Am better now, thank u, Hope you got better too. Still nursing also :), although am trying hardly stop, but in vain.. It looks like Dina is sooo stubborn, * I guess this runs in her family LOL" she is so much like daddy, hehehe. I myself don't like the idea of nursing the two babies. It doesn't sound good.
Thank you Amanda for your nice words, am praying your delivery will be easy too, Did you know if it is a girl or a boy yet? am looking forward to know what am having... although with Dina they weren't sure till the 9th.. I bought cloths first for a boy, then for a girl, and when I was delivering, I just wasn't sure what am having, but I should have known, cuz if it was a boy, it would be clear.. anyways, all would be fine with me, I only hope we would have them healthy.

Good, I'm glad to hear you think about the daycare like too. It's so hard to not have a distorted view because sure no where will be up to my standards, but that one just really won't work I don't think.

Well I haven't tried the whole wheat pasta yet, but I cooked some whole wheat rice with some veggies and blended it up.....hasn't gone over well yet. She seems to like the flavor but when she goes to swallow she acts like it gags her. I might water it down a little and make her try again tomorrow, it was pretty thick. How's bekah doing with meat, have you tried again lately?

So Bill ended up getting home about midnight last night. I was pretty excited, our town is having its celebration days so we took Laney downtown, they have a little carnival, some yummy treats and rides, she was to small for all of them though. A neat petting zoo, she had fun looking around, then we went to the park...it was a lot fun. We also decided to try saturday night church, which laney did better with than i thought, and i even brought her food along and we went out to eat afterwards! I was so proud of Laney, she did awesome. And it was really nice to have some family time. So how was your Saturday? I've been meaning to ask you where the big baby sale is? I wish we had one! To bad its not a few days later when you will know what your having! Well, I hope you guys are a having an awesome weekend. Talk to you later!
