My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Please check out Rebekah's profile. Her birth story and several of my favorite pictures are on there and I like to update it often. Thanks for stopping by! MyCuteGraphics.com - Cute Glitter Graphics

Can you think of any good middle name's for Cole?? We're having a hard time...

kmoore - Wednesday, 15 October
What a festive background! I don't have long Laney just woke up...but I wanted to tell you I put a new pic on my page and some new ones on Laneys...I'll write more later! Have fun keeping your couch warm!!!

rahomsw - Wednesday, 15 October
It is totally crazy how they are laying!!

Names - I think we're almost settled on Cole (need a middle name) and Olivia Christine. Far off from the thought of once having a Max and Mia!! LOL!

rahomsw - Wednesday, 15 October
Hey Amanda!! I hear ya on the clothes situation. I went through small and medium maternity clothes already. I'm into the large sizes. I'm mostly belly this pregnancy. I hear ya though about losing weight and being preggers again. We got it off once....we can do it AGAIN!!

Glad you guys got to go out on a date and that you're still able to chase after Becca!!! She's lucky to have a mom like you!

I'm doing good. I couldn't sleep last night bc the babies were moving and the girl is really low. I've been having a lot of vaginal pain. The are laying in a T shape. He's across the top of my belly but underneath her. She's going straight up and down my belly. It's crazy. I just had a really good U/S appt. Her fluid levels almost doubled since Friday and they've each gained about 5-6 oz in the last two weeks. Things are going well! I hope they continue to do so!!

Okay, that is totally bizzare about the lady with all the same names! How weird, what are the chances?!!?

So what did you girls get to do? Some shopping? I miss girl time too, and I wouldn't mind taking Laney along, just hard to find things to do that are spendy and hard to find friends with time and patience to do it with a baby!

Laney is sometimes how you described bekah, she will be playing just fine by herself and I am sitting nearby talking to her occassionally, but as soon as i start doing something she instantly wants attention and gets mad if I don't give it. She doesn't have quite the tantrum you descirbed though :)

I'll have to go check your new picture. I forgot to do that before I replied. He is coming SO soon! Do you feel ready? Oh, you are going to be so busy, but how fun to have two little ones! I think about it more and more lately....probably b/c now we "can't" b/c of the whole job situation.

Not a whole new around here, she already has a bump appearing on her bottom gums. I really hope it isn't a tooth starting already, maybe it will just be that way for a long time. I'm not ready for teething again. She is so different when she feels good. I get spoiled! We are heading back to our parents this weekend for pheasant opening...we haven't been back in over two months which is quite awhile for us so I shouldn't be dreading it, but of course I am. Laney took forever to adapt to having two more people in our home when my mom and grandma were here. Imagine how she is going to be in a different place with TONS of people. My inlaws house will be full of hunters (mostly family at least). She is going to be so clingy and we aren't really there long enough for her to get used to it b/c I also have to take her to see my mom, my dad, and my grandparents....and it would be nice to get to see some of my friends. Its just so overwhelming. Sorry, I whine about the same things all the time! Oh and the latest on Bills job, again, bad news! Well the whole thing they said they had to declare bankrupcy so the government couldn't come in and sell airplanes and do whatever they wanted to get money....there bankrupcy get denied! So what does that mean?!?!? I don't really know except that now I guess if the government decides they need money they will sell everything and bill will be out a job...I don't know, hopefully that doesn't happen. I know the old owners are trying really hard to get it back and keep it going, I just hope they can pull it off. No word on the other job yet, I keep hoping and praying he calls soon.

But I am going to sweep my floor quick before she wakes up, talk to you later! Hope you and bekah are having a relaxing day!!!

lindyloo - Wednesday, 15 October
Well today I treated myself, I walked around the shops for a few hours just enjoying my own company!!! lol, I also bought myself 2 new dresses but couldn't find any pants I liked they always fit perfect in the legs but are to small around my waste but if I go up a size I end up with the opposite!!! Very annoying, lol.

So what have you been up to??? Any more teeth??? I can't wait until Ally's comes right up so we can see her toofie grin!!! hehehehehhehe.

I had to buy one of my friends a birthday present today, I just got a box and filled it with a few different little things........there's just one problem now......I like it so much that I want to keep it, hahahahahahahaha, I won't though, that would just be mean!!! One of the things I got her was these really pretty angel cards, I had a set just like them but I don't know where they are, I've searched everywhere, might have to buy myself some more but they're $25 and I feel bad spending that much on cards for myself, lol!!!! I will get them one of these days, and then when I do I'll end up finding the ones I lost hahahahahahahahaha.

I'm going to be spending a few hours with my friend on Friday, I think we might go to the movies or something so it should be nice.

Anyway I'd better go and finish dinner, it's a late dinner tonight as my Christmas tree arrived late this afternoon so I set it all up to make sure it was all good (it was) hahahahahahaha.

Love you all lots and lots xoxoxoxooxoxoxoox

We've had a hard time coming up with another girl name for if we have another girl too! Since we like Rebekah so much it's hard to find one we like as much! I like Abigail too, but my Kevin doesn't care much for it! that's so funny!
We like the Biblical names too, that's actually where we found Micah and I fell in love with the name immediately, we came up with Jacob Daniel because my husband's little brother had leukemia (he's in remission now) and while he was sick my husband wanted to come up with a name with his brother's name in it, partially as a tribute to him just in case he went south, but mostly because he really admires his brother for his struggle with it and he always kept an upbeat attitude, anyway, so we were trying to find something that went well with Daniel and we came up with Jacob and over the years I've fallen more in love with it, I go back and forth between liking Jacob or Micah better, but I love them both, and I think they go well with Rebekah. I personally LOVE the name Noah, but Kevin is on the fence with it, but I'm working on it.. I think boy names are easier for me than girl names!
Yeah, I've heard pitocin makes the contractions stronger, you amaze me that you were able to get through labor even WITH pitocin without an epidural, I wussed out and got one! but I have no regrets! The labor was fine, it was the delivery that was tough I'm not really sure if she came out upside down or not, I'm really fuzzy on the details, probably from the blood loss, I'm not sure, I might have to ask my husband to see if he knows, I THINK the doctor turned her with the forceps as he helped pull her out. The healing was long, the episiotomy actually healed pretty quickly, it didn't bug me fore more than a couple/few weeks, what actually hurt the worst was my tailbone, I broke it during the delivery and that hurt, I was on pain medication up until about a month or so ago, and I still hurt if I sit on it in the same position for too long, but I'm not taking pain meds for it anymore. I've heard that tearing can take a lot longer to heal than an episiotomy since it's a cleaner cut with an episiotomy, less tissue damage. I hope you don't tear this time too! That sounds sucky!
I can totally understand missing the snuggly girl, my Bekah is a lot more content being on the floor now that she can roll, and she's more interested in toys, for the longest time she just wanted me to hold her all the time, it was exhausting, but I LOVED having her snuggly all the time, they just keep getting more and more independent though, which is good for them, I want to raise an independent woman, I just miss the cuddles! it makes me want another baby so bad! well a lot of things do, and if I didn't have to work we might not wait as long between, but as is it wouldn't be that great for me to get pregnant again since I do have to work. My husband is trying to get us to a point where I can stay home with Rebekah cuz he knows how much it kills me to leave her every day, but we'll get there when we're meant to, I realize it's just not in God's plan right now and I'm ok with that, He knows what's best for us and He's always taken care of us. It really was wonderful to be able to have so much time with her before I had to go back to work and I feel very blessed to have my MIL watching her for me, I know she's in capable hands, and I know she's being cared for the best because she's so loved and it's one on one attention she wouldn't be getting in a day care. it's also nice because my MIL watches her at my house so I don't have to haul her anywhere and she does her best to raise Rebekah the way we want her raised, she asked me for guidelines of how I handle different situations before she started even. I'm not a control freak or anything, but it's nice to know that I don't have to correct her behavior on the weekends because grandma is letting her get away with stuff, because grandma is following our rules.
My work does treat me very well, it's a very family oriented company that really realizes that if they don't work with their employees so they can be with their families when they need to, they're not going to have happy empolyees which means they won't keep employees, it's always a good sign when you see that most of the employees here are long term employees, that have been here for years and years because they treat their employees right. My boss is great about everything, he was really understanding during my pregnancy and he totally understands how hard it is for me to be away from my daughter, and he's really understanding about me taking breaks to pump so that I can continue to breast feed my daughter because his wife breast fed his kids for about a year and a half each, so he actually realizes how important it is which is unusual in a male boss, even one with kids these days.
what did you do before having Rebekah that kept you on your feet all day? I sit at a computer all day so that made it a bit easier :)
So you're carrying your litle guy different? is it out outfront like they say boys are? everyone thought we were having a boy with Rebekah because I was all belly! I've heard the second labors tend to be a lot shorter and a lot easier than the first, so I hope yours is too! at least easier, no tearing and all. I totally understand how time flies when you get to spend all day caring for a beautiful baby girl! the 4 1/2 months I had off FLEW by!
I would guess that you're in the clear for gd if you haven't heard back yet, my clinic called me the next day when it was positive for gd, so that I could get care for it and get it under control as quickly as possible. I didn't know PCOS raised your chances for gd.. learn something new every day! :) Having had it I will more than likely have it for all future pregnancies. The gd was actually not as bad as it sounds, I was able to control it with diet, and once I figured out how to feed myself it was pretty easy.. just took a little thinking before eating instead of just shoving food in my mouth! the PUPPS was what was miserable, but I was lucky, I only had it for the last few weeks, it CAN start a lot earlier than it did for me.
That's so funny that you walled off your dining room! our dining room area was part of our living room so our table got crammed into our kitchen too as the living room kind of took over the dining room when we sectioned off part of the living room! We were going to just section off the dining room part but it wasn't quite big enough We MIGHT be able to squeeze one more baby in the house, but it won't fit two toddlers, so by the time the next baby is about 3-4 months and ready to go in a crib (instead of cradle) we'll need to get a bigger house. But we're planning on waiting till Rebekah is at least a year before we start trying again.
I should get going though because I've written you a novel and I should PROBABLY get back to work!
take care!

kmoore - Tuesday, 14 October
Laney never did the tongue thing with her bottom teeth, she is finally not doing it quite as much. She sticks her tongue out a lot still though. That's funny that Bekah can click her tongue, thats pretty good....kind of a trick thing for a baby, I would think!

Glad to hear your finally getting some sleep, and I had to laugh at your excitment over the bras :) Isn't it crazy the things that excite you when your a mommy :)

So it sounds like you have a toddler on your hands! Hard to believe she is throwing tantrums already, but thats sure what it sounds like! Hopefully she will out grow it fast. Did she just want your attention while you were cutting hair? Silly babies, no concept of patience :)

Laney has been doing great at sleeping in, between 7 and 7:30 the last three mornings...which is SO nice. She has also been napping better, i feel like I shouldn't even type that b/c I will jinx it. But she kind of changed her schedule from 3 shorter naps a day to 2 naps...one good and one short. Which is fine with me, take away one battle a day is awesome! Oh and the poor girl, she keeps hitting her upper gums where her teeth came in. In the last week she had done it 3 times and each time it bleeds. Makes me feel so awful. She goes to bit things she shouldnt like the table and does it to fast and boom-a bleeding a baby.

Well, hope your heartburn gets better, do rolaids do anything for you? they helped me a little, not always though. Hope your having a great day!

rahomsw - Tuesday, 14 October
Hi, I know you were busy with your mom!! How was her visit?? Were you guys able to squeeze in a date??? I missed chatting with you!!!! I'm doing OK. The babies are staying put. It's been a quiet week. The meds to stop the contractions really work and seem to keep things quiet for a few days after I'm given them. I'm SOOOOO thankful for that. You'll be fine with the two babies!!! They'll probably be best of friends!!!! How are you feeling??

april mcspadden - Tuesday, 14 October
yes maam I have a working puter!! YAY!! Wens works for me! Ill be on!! oh no... 2 babies crying.... be back soon

shelleyanne - Tuesday, 14 October
Hello!!

How are you? love your new background! how are you keeping?
Can't believe you only have 99 days to go! I can't wait to have another! x

Amanda-is-Rebekahs-mommy - Tuesday, 14 October
I know, I told my husband and he thought it was crazy! My best friend thought I was joking when I told her.. I just get a kick out of it! I'm not sure if I'll get my Noah since my Kevin doesn't like the name as much as I do, but I'm working on him cuz it does rate high for me! our boy names that we've agreed on are Jacob Daniel and Micah Connor (probably in that order) though so we may not end up with a Noah, but we will more than likely have a Jacob if we have a boy in our future! it's just too funny to me!
My Rebekah was born on her original due date, after an early ultrasound her due date was moved back 2 days, but she decided she was ready on the original day I actually went in to be induced because I had PUPPS and was miserable, but we went into labor before they got the pitocin hooked up!
Well that was very considerate of your Rebekah to come early and give you that nice tax break! She's so beautiful and looks so sweet! And what a pretty smile! 9 months looks like a fun age! She's already pulling herself up? That seems so young to me! You may just have an early walker on your hands! My Rebekah is getting a lot more interactive and it's a lot of fun! She rolls some now, but she doesn't really do too much traveling with it, which is kinda nice in that I don't have to chase her, but I look forward to her being more mobile! I'm very blessed that my MIL is our daycare for our little angel here at my house, since I can't be here with her all day! I just went back to work 2 weeks ago now, which has been really tough for me, and my angel has started to reach out for me when I have to leave and she cries, it breaks my heart to leave her, but you do what you have to, one day I'll be able to stay home, my husband is trying to make that possible, he'd like for me to be able stay home with our baby girl, and all future babies. I was blessed though in that I work for a great company which gave me 4 1/2 months off with my daughter so that was really nice!
how's your second pregnancy going? You're about 6 months along right? I hope you're doing great!
I agree that we should keep in touch. I find it amazing and funny, I mean it doesn't happen that often that you find another couple with the same names, but to also both have a first child, who's a daughter with the same name, spelled the same way too is just.. WOW!

Amanda-is-Rebekahs-mommy - Tuesday, 14 October
Congrats on your pregnancy! You must be so excited to have your little boy so you have one of each!
I just wanted to say hi, I was cruising around I-am-pregnant.com and I saw your name one someone's page, and I had to check you out, I have a daughter who is 5 months old and her name is Rebekah, spelled the same way (obviously :)) and then I saw that your name is Amanda also, and that you are married to Kevin, which I am too, then I continued reading and you're naming your son Noah, which is one of my top 3 boy names... it was just very coincidental and I found it funny so I thought I'd share and say hello!

lindyloo - Tuesday, 14 October
Hahahahahahahaha the weird squirrely looking things are possums, they have heaps that come right up to us for bread.

So guess what.........Ally's tooth popped through her gum last night!!!!! Woooohoooooo finally a tooth!!!!

I had to go pick the bed frame up which was fine because it was only 10 mins away. I put the end bits in the back seat and tied the main bit in the boot, half was sticking out but it was tied very tightly in.

I can't believe how well Bekah went from bottle to sippy cup, that is just so fantastic!!!!! 'COME ON ALLY' hahahahahahaha. I suppose I'd better start really giving it a good go.

So Mick and I decided to stop buying wipes as they are getting very costly and just start using flannels, so far so good!!! lol.

New pants hey, that reminds me that I need some new clothes badly, so sick of the same old boring stuff!! Just wish I was more comfortable in myself so I could wear trendy stuff, lol. Mind you I won't be buying clothes for a few weeks as we have bills coming out our ears atm, lol, stupid gas and electricity bills are always so high!!!

Anyway I better go and organize them now that I've remembered them, lol.

Lots of hugs and kisses xoxoxoxoxoxooxox

rdmomtobe - Monday, 13 October
No biggie, seems like your MIL was here for a good long visit. I bet that was exhausting, no matter who it might be. I see Linda Punch and she pretty much said no more weight gain and to exercise most days (at least 5 days) I've been doing it and I think I've pretty much stayed the same weight although I all of the sudden have a belly. You can tell from my new 26 week pic.
This time you're having a boy so I think it would be perfectly acceptable to have a registry and/or shower!
We've painted her nursery and the bathroom next to it and have a dresser and vanity in the bedroom, but waiting for crib etc hopefully we'll get some of the large, expensive stuff at our shower.
Our second house has a contingent contract, but hasn't sold unfortunately!! Good to hear from you-Jessica

kmoore - Monday, 13 October
It was a good episode, huh? I can't wait to see what Edi's husband is up to! And that would be great if you could help eat the cake, less for me is always good.

Sounds like Bekahs tooth is getting closer and closer, has she been sleepy again today? Thats not such a bad side affect, I guess....better than the diarrea, Laney had that a little, nothing totally horrible though, thank goodness!

That is crazy about her sippy cup, awesome though! I can't wait until Laney gets there, and the finger food....I don't know what her deal is, everything else but those two things she is ahead of the game on. Oh well, like you said, she'll get there sooner or later! Oh, I know how you feel about the clingyness.....Laney was like that to Bill when she was feeling yucky. Makes you feel bad, but loved :) I thought about having bill go to ecfe, but he thought he would feel silly going with all the mommies. I'm sure he would have, but he would have been welcomed. I used to have some dads come when I taught it, but it was always evening ones when I taught it. Oh well. He got some things done anyway.

Oh, Laneys new thing-She has discovered she can feel her teeth with her tongue. It is so funny, but it makes her look like a goober. With that she learned to stick out her tongue, nice, I know. Of course right away it was funny and we would do it with her, now she does it all the time. I suppose she'll forget about it when the next thing is learned.

How are things with you lately, Getting well rested for noahs arrival? I can't believe how close it is getting! Hope your girls are having a fun day!

AmandaLovesRichardBakerSince2004 - Monday, 13 October
