My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.
I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!
Please check out Rebekah's profile. Her birth story and several of my favorite pictures are on there and I like to update it often. Thanks for stopping by!
Our first few moments together with our tiny baby girl!

Snuggletime with papa!

but I have no regrets! The labor was fine, it was the delivery that was tough
I'm not really sure if she came out upside down or not, I'm really fuzzy on the details, probably from the blood loss, I'm not sure, I might have to ask my husband to see if he knows, I THINK the doctor turned her with the forceps as he helped pull her out. The healing was long, the episiotomy actually healed pretty quickly, it didn't bug me fore more than a couple/few weeks, what actually hurt the worst was my tailbone, I broke it during the delivery and that hurt, I was on pain medication up until about a month or so ago, and I still hurt if I sit on it in the same position for too long, but I'm not taking pain meds for it anymore. I've heard that tearing can take a lot longer to heal than an episiotomy since it's a cleaner cut with an episiotomy, less tissue damage. I hope you don't tear this time too! That sounds sucky!
the PUPPS was what was miserable, but I was lucky, I only had it for the last few weeks, it CAN start a lot earlier than it did for me.
We MIGHT be able to squeeze one more baby in the house, but it won't fit two toddlers, so by the time the next baby is about 3-4 months and ready to go in a crib (instead of cradle) we'll need to get a bigger house. But we're planning on waiting till Rebekah is at least a year before we start trying again.
our boy names that we've agreed on are Jacob Daniel and Micah Connor (probably in that order) though so we may not end up with a Noah, but we will more than likely have a Jacob if we have a boy in our future!
it's just too funny to me!
I actually went in to be induced because I had PUPPS and was miserable, but we went into labor before they got the pitocin hooked up!
I'm very blessed that my MIL is our daycare for our little angel here at my house, since I can't be here with her all day! I just went back to work 2 weeks ago now, which has been really tough for me, and my angel has started to reach out for me when I have to leave and she cries, it breaks my heart to leave her, but you do what you have to, one day I'll be able to stay home, my husband is trying to make that possible, he'd like for me to be able stay home with our baby girl, and all future babies. I was blessed though in that I work for a great company which gave me 4 1/2 months off with my daughter so that was really nice!
