My name is Amanda and I gave birth to Rebekah Nichole on December 28, 2007. I followed my pregnancy with this site but never became a V.I.P. member. I wish I had because I feel like I know many of you that were due around my due date. I enjoyed reading your pages and comments throughout my pregnancy and cried each time I discovered one of you had given birth. Most of the time I felt like you were the only people who understood everything I was feeling, especially those last few weeks when time seemed to stand still and the waiting carried on forever. Rebekah's birth story is on her own page along with several of my favorite pictures. I would love for you to check it out!

God has blessed us so much and I am very excited to share that I am expecting another baby on January 21, 2009! It will be much more fun to follow along with everyone now that I'm officially a member. I really hope to make some new friendships as I share my little bundles of joy with all of you. My sweet husband, Kevin I love him so much!

I just LOVE watching my husband play with his baby girl! She smiles at his beard and enjoys hearing his voice when he talks specifically to her. It melts my heart to see how much he loves her. I am so thankful to God for giving him these joyful moments and I hope and pray my husband will have many more babies to love!

Hey Amanda,
I know what you mean. Being a mother is the best decision that I ever made. I knew I would like it, but did not anticipate that it would be this awesome. Every day Elsa does another super cute thing that we are so excited to see.

Yes, I am a bit overly emotional—mostly good. I have a lot of excitement about this journey. I am wondering if the fact that we are breastfeeding is contributing to us not going through post partum depression. I have heard that the breastfeeding is very good for both mother and baby.

I understand what you mean about the time. On one hand you want to enjoy every minute, but on the other hand you just want things to move along so that you can meet your new baby. I try to enjoy and record every minute of Elsa’s life. We are already filling up all this space on our hard drive with pictures and movies from the camcorder of Elsa.

I am so glad to hear that things are going really well with your pregnancy. I was so relieved when I got into my second trimester to know that things were going smoothly.

Rebakah must be excited that she's going to be a big sister, if she knows yet.... ;) I can't wait to experience it all and I'm enjoying every day of the pregnancy(well, I'm grateful that the m/s is almost over.... My next scan will be at 18 weeks. I would love to know the gender of the baby if all the stars line up. Your daughter is beautiful and there are amazing pix of you two on your page!!!! Hey, I love motherhood. It is working out better than I ever imagined. When I was pregnant we were a little concerned about the post partum depression. But, I have not experienced any of it. In fact I have been on an emotional high ever since my daughter was born.
I have been checking your page lately to see if you found out whether you are having a boy or a girl. How is pregnancy going? We are also hoping to have another baby after this one.

Well 2 full nights sleep in a row, woooohhooooooo!!!!!!! Not even a peep for stupid paci!!!!!!!!!! Mind you she takes a while to go down but I kind of just let her cry it out just going in occasionally.

Hhhhhmmmmm maybe Bekah did have a bit of separation anxiety last night........or maybe another tooth is coming, they say that they come in pairs.

Yeah we need to get a baby gate for the hall, that will stop her from getting in any of the rooms, I might check them out on ebay.

So weird I got AF day before yesterday and my tummy isn't even bloated, it just keeps getting smaller, YAAAAY!!!! Well when you start to diet after having the bean hopefully I'll be gaining because I'll be growing a bean, lol.

So my brother's ex got a negative but has to take another next week if her AF doesn't show up.

Well we had to get up at 5.45am today so I could drop Mick at work, Ally was not impressed having to get out of bed at that time, hehehehehe, when I went in she was face down in her crib, I have no idea how she was able to breath.

Ok well Ally's here in her walker getting angry at me so I'll have to write more later.

hahahaha awwwe how cute!!! yeh i was xctd but sad wen she got her first tooth, cause of da whole gummy thing 2 lol!!!
yeh 14 weeks has flown.....the last 17 months have flown lol!!!
yeh only 2 weeks 2 go, but midwife seems 2 fink ill go b4 then, any day now...heres hoping shes right lol!!! i so want him out, but at the same tym i wanna spend so much more tym with shay.....no wat i mean?? i feel so evil sayin it but i feel lyk im gunna b neglecting her wen he arrives coz of da whole breast feedin thing.....im pretty much gunna b with him 24/7....
yeh i finished his room im soo glad thats done, it really is a load off my shoulders, he can come now lol!!!
yeh shays doin gr8 fnx, shes gettn sooo big, talkin a lot more (she dunno how 2 stop hahaha) she dances all da tym, climbs up on EVERYTHING.....d list goes on lol!!! hows bekah doin?? hows her scootn around goin hehehe dats soooo cute!!! xoxoxox

Hey Amanda...I missed ya..boy it seems like forever since I've actually talked to ya! But as I said before I know you're busy.

You know there is always some kind of DRAMA going on in my life, well yesterday we picked up a small 15X3 pool for us to share with the boys. Before we bought it we contacted my Mom about it. Of coarse everything has to be HER WAY and her way of saying don't get it was that we have to set it up in the yard with our dogs. Well you know the dogs will POP the vinyl pool! So we got some spray that we will put on the outskirts of the pool and hopefully this will keep they away. I'm not sure if she knows we got it yet but it sure did piss me off how she tries to regulate every apect of our lives. Now I don't know if I got it for us to enjoy (I know it's alot of work) or if I got it more to spite her. I know I'm wrong and it sounds childish but I just get tired of it all.

I was spotting again over ther weekend and I was PRESSED to know the sex of the baby. Well after calling all around all morning looking for a new doc...I had NO success. They either aren't taking new patients, don't take my insurance or I can't be seen for like 2 weeks. And it just seems like too much of a hassle. So I sucked it up and called my doc. This was the first time ever that his wife was human to me. She was nice and said she would send me for a sono but there might be a chance that the insurance won't cover it. I told her that was fine and we went at 3 today.
I got some fill in tech that was just LAZY and didn't give a crap about me or my baby. I'm pretty sure we saw a penis but not positive. All she kept saying is that I'm too early becuase she didn't feel like looking. I am so disappointed in the visit. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy my cervix is closed and the baby is doing great, I'm just aggrevated I have to wait another 5 weeks for my 20 week sono.
What a damn waste.

I'm sorry but I couldn't help but laugh when you told me about Bekah..sounds like you had your hands full! LOL

Well..I have to clean up the dogs yard in preperation of the pool and it's scorchering hot here. Don't know how long I will be out there but I have to try.

Not a problem! I have no life anymore and tend to be on this site more than any normal human being should lol.. Anyway, I figure this is my first and I need all the help I can get! I'm am not above asking for help and all, but I think we need to review all our options and work with what's best for us. :)

Headache miraculously went away saturday night, which was nice. However my gums have been acting up ever since. I can't win I tell you!!

I know how you feel about being out for so long! I have to admit I've been a bit of a hermit lately. I can't help it.. who wants to leave air conditioning and cable?? I mean.. really.. especially when its humid and like 100 degrees out!

And let me just say.. don't ask me why your body would need chocolate cake, because given enough time I'm sure I could justify it.

I dunno, I'm not going to be crazy about my weight this first time around. I certainly wont go overboard, but if I'm craving something.. so help me God.. I will have it lol. I want to enjoy this! (God knows I'm already enjoying this AF-free time!!)

Hi sorry taken so long to reply but you remember wot it's like i'm sure! We're doin really well. He got weighed today and has put on 9 oz since Thurs so really pleased (not suprised though as he loves the boob!!) I'm so in love, he is absolutly gorgeous... we're very proud parents. His cord fell off today so he can have his first proper bath now which is exciting. I'm completly snap happy & have taken soooo many pics of him! People are getting sick of me now! haha! Hope this msg finds you and family well xoxo
