My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Thanks for the compliments!!! Actually, my cousin's baby is a month old already. I got to see her yesterday and it was GREAT!!! Glad Noah moved off your back!!!! Especially glad you and I are alike and research/advocate for stuff. YOu would have felt so guilty if you had used that stuff and then nursed Bekah. Dr's are good, but they're human like us and don't always know.....they make mistakes too. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way with my son.

You know, I have never even tried a heating pad....they really work huh? I might have to try one sometime, usually I'm only in pain for a day or two and as long as I'm not pregnant I can use the good ole ibprofen :)

Well good thing its the weekend, you do need to get rest, you do an awful lot for a pregnant lady :) You'll have to recruit some help towards the end of this pregnancy, especially if Noah keeps laying silly!

My mom and mil are coming tomorrow instead of saturday so I had to hurry and get the rest of the cleaning done. Feels so good to have it done though, just wish it lasted longer. Especially the vacuuming, darn kitties :)

Thats awesome you get to bond with your niece and nephew. I'm sure I've told you before how I would love to have a niece or nephew to spoil. Of course they wouldn't live to close to us or anything, but it could still be fun.

Glad to hear your not the only with an ornary little animal to deal with. Laney had one good nap today, then crap, a half hour one b/c of the cat and she skipped her late afternoon one, but she doesn't always need that one anyway. But she always goes to be good and easy. She is so tired by 8, she can barely stay awake to eat her bottle. Once we actually get to her bedroom, bedtime takes maybe 10 minutes, so nice. If only naps were so easy, I guess that would be asking for a lot!

So the last part of your message reminded me of a book I want to read. Have you ever heard of "Just Do It". Its as fairly new book written by a couple. For 101 days they did it every single day, no excuses!!! They have an older child and a three year old. Just to see what it would do for the relationship. It sounds so interesting, how great it was for their relationship and all around attitudes. I really want to read it, but my library doesn't have it and I really hate to go buy it, but I might have to!!

Bill still isn't home yet, but should be any minute. I have some homeade ice cream a churning for when he gets here, can't wait!! Well, again I hope your back starts to get better and STAY that way!! Have a great weekend relaxing!

Thank you. There is a much better selection at walmart.com than what is in the store. I just hate buying something online without seeing it first. I want to make sure I have the best quality for my baby. Sometimes you just never know what you're going to get when you order online. I actually found a place about an hour from where I live that sells cribs...so my hubby and I plan to check it out on Monday. Hopefully we'll find exactly what we're looking for ;) Wish me luck.

Glad to hear back is a little better at least. I remember wanting to crack my back so badly and not being able to. How nice bekah slept in for you, has she been doing that more lately?

Bill actually left early Thursday and he gets back tonight, hopefully before Laney goes to bed, but I won't hold my breath. Oh, I thought Laney was sleeping, but she is talking away now. Oh well, she feel asleep earlier and little did I know one of the cats had snuck in her room, so then it was meowing and scratching on the door to get out and woke her up....oh I was SO mad at him!

Yes, trying to clean everything for them, even though I'm sure they wouldn't care as long as they got to see Laney. Like you though, I don't want them to think I'm a slob. I feel so guilty sometimes, I'm a stay at home mom you would think I could keep up with the housecleaning.

But I suppose I will go get her, we should go for a walk while its so nice out.

Well, Bill is gone so here I am writing you again :)

Sorry to hear about your back, I'm sure that makes it hard to take care of your niece and nephew plus bekah....goodness, I bet your ready for the weekend!

I finally got the bathroom cleaned, I was a cleaning machine today. Laney had a two hour nap!!!!!!!! I can't believe how much I got done, I even got the floor scrubbed! If only she would do that everyday.

So I think my mom and my MIL are coming to visit Sunday. Then later in October my Mom is going to bring my Grandma. So that will work out okay. I think it keep everyone happy at least. I would rather they came when Bill was gone and I'm lonely, but it works.

I'm not sure about who would take the photos yet. I guess I would have to price a few people. I've never had them go somewhere before, sounds like it may be pricey. It would be really neat though and then do some fun outdoor ones.

Oh yes, I will definetly have to test if its late, you know how I love to waste those sticks :) Its funny how I go back and forth about it. Part of me is like....oh, I hope it doesn't come, then ten minutes later I'm thinking oh it better I'm not ready yet. Of course I would ecstatic if I were, but just thinking about it is kinda scary!

Way to go on the bathroom! I successfully put it off for one more day :) But really, I need to do it today. So is your mother in law just coming to visit or is there a special occassion? I'm like you two, I like to have the house SO clean when people come, even though its usually a disaster by the time the leave. My mother in law actually called yesterday to let me know she isn't busy and she can be here at the drop of a hat if I want to go anywhere or do anything, then she said she would bring my Mom too. Well, my Mom was planning on coming soon, but I was looking forward to it just being us, now she feels guilty if she comes and doesn't invite the inlaw. Oh man.....

You guys in white would really make her dress pop, I bet that would be cute and very festive colors! Bill wants to do some outdoor ones by "his" airplane this year, don't know if we will or not since we are doing this one for church, but we aren't paying anything for the church one and they won't be doing fun shots so we will see. Oh....Laney is totally emptying off the coffee table I write this....

Oh my, that is a LONG nap, I bet she felt better. Glad you got to snooze a little too. Laney has been back to her normal of getting up at about 7:30 so that is nice. I hear ya on the sleeping in, I love it when Bill gets up with her, although its not really all that often. Yesterday was another horrible nap day, I don't understand how one day she just lays down and goes to sleep without a fuss and the next is like torture. I hoping someday she will be a good napper :)

That is so funny about the tuna, the only thing I ate alot of with Laney was ice cream....Not sure it was a craving, but I sure liked it! Any other odd things happening? Is Noah moving alot now?

So my period is due in about two or three days. My last cycle I missed a couple pills so my system was all sorts of weird so of course I am thinking about the whole pregnancy thing even more than usual.

But I suppose I better go take all the magazines away, now that she has wrecked one :) Oh well, looks like she had fun! Have a great day!
