My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

I'm getting more and more excited about a girl too. Everyone once in a while Josh will pick up a cute outfit as a surprise for me. So sweet. Oh I love the Beatles I bet that John Lennon blanket is cool! We had our sale Saturday and rain really didn't bother shoppers, we made pretty good money ~$250. We spent Friday night setting up so we didn't make it to the big sale, but I suspected like you said that it would have been pretty picked over. Cool that you got in early!!
Now that the big U/S appt has gone by time is going faster, although I've been crazy busy at work and that probably helps so my next appt is only a couple weeks away. What do they do at appointments now? Just check heartbeat until I get closer?

What a cute little outfit, that flower bow is so cute, I have never seen anything like it. And your nursery looks nice, Will Noah go in there right away or do you keep him in your room for awhile? We had Laney in a bassinet for the first three months, but we are two floors away from her bedroom so I would be wore going up down so many times :)

Those are such good hours for Kevin, you guys will have the evening together, how nice!! And to not have to juggle the other job, so happy for you guys!

I need to clean the bathroom too, isn't that the worst? And I'm so with you on the vacuuming, my cats hair is everywhere too. I swear Laney will have a fur ball before she's one. She gives our one kitty kisses, its so gross I literally have to pick hair off her face when she is done.

Laney had an AWFUL night for her. She was up twice just screaming before 2 am. I don't know what her deal was, just cuddled her a little and laid her back down and she was fine, well the second time I gave her some teething tablets, I don't know if thats what it was or not, but then she was quiet until 6, then I gave her a bottle and she slept til about 7. Silly kid.....her one rash the yeast one is gone, but now she has what looks like a diaper rash, but it has spread kind of up her little lips, I have never seen or heard of a diaper rash being there before. So I called my doc, i don't want to look like an idiot bringing my kid in for diaper rash, but they said it could be so Im gonna try A & D ointment for another day and see if that works, otherwise it's off to the doc.

Oh crap, I just realized I have two ice cube trays in the freezer with food in them....I did that like two days ago...OOPS!!!!! Better get them. Hope your having a good day!

I must be blind. I can't find the nursery pic. Hey, our nurseries might be small but our kids are loved and have a home and that's all that counts! That's how I look at it. Good deal on the bedding you got too!!! I'll email you tomorrow after my appt.

Hi there!!! My weekend was OK. I had more spotting. Went to L&D and they couldn't figure out why. I see the doc tomorrow. Other than that...things are OK. I watched Good Luck Chuck today which was hilarious and 2 friends stopped by for lunch!! Tomorrow will be busy with my appt. I'm only supposed to get out of bed to eat and use the bathroom. I probably get up more than I should, but I try to make my trips all-in-one!! LOL!

I can't wait to see pics of the nursery, especially how you are decorating it for Bekah and Noah. At least I'm not the only one stuffing two kids into one room. My poor babies will be stuck in a 6x10 room. Poor things! When we get it all set up, I'll post pics too! Right now we have the crib and changing table in there and then all of the baby stuff we have is on the floor!

The sale sounds AWESOME! There was a story on Yahoo today about a sale the size of a football stadium. I can't remember the name of the organization that ran it, but it was great. My friend and mom were going to go to a twin sale for me last week, but they couldn't go. Did I tell you we got both bedding sets for under $70 though?? We're getting closer, so it's getting exciting!!!

I'll post a blog tomorrow to let you know how things went at the dr's. When is your next appt?

What a nice suprise finding clothes for Bekah in the tote too! Good thing you needed to dig through there or may have never known :) I have a couple smaller totes filled with things Laney is done with...I really should get the ambition to organize it really good so I don't have to wonder and dig through everything when another little one does come along.

Oh, and I am SO excited for you guys about the job!! Did you get to do any celebrating? Hopefully life won't be quite as crazy now. Does he still have evening hours?

So the bodies in motion thing....you have to get past the creepiness level and then its neat. Its actual bodies that have been donated to science, and they are set up in different ways to show muscles, arteries, veins, etc. They even had different hearts to compare, and enlarged one and a regular, and an ovary with a tumor and lungs with cancer, its extremely gross at times, but educational.

So Laney and I went to her first day of school today :) I don't know if you guys have ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) or not, but Minnesota does. It's pretty neat. I taught it for a couple years so its pretty cool being on the other side now. There are two other babies in Laney's class so its nice and small and even know one of them b/c I student taught in her classroom! Plus I got to know the other Mom who is really nice. She started the Mom group I told you about awhile back, so now I will for sure get involved. I'm SO excited about it. I think I enjoy it more than Laney :) But she really like it, she loves watching other babies and then we just do some music with them and there is a little parenting portion....just something fun to do with her.

But I suppose I better get to picking up and such, i let everything wait on the weekend and then play catch up all week. So silly....Hope you and Bekah and Noah are having a great day! Is he kicking you more these days?

I am totally planning on breast feeding for as long as possible. It would really suck if I had to do it and work too, but I suppose if I have to.. I have to!

I hate school too.. believe me. I just can't waitress for the rest of my life tho.. so that's really most of the motivation that I have. I'm going to a community college here. It's a two year program, really intense tho. I've spent the last year and a half getting all of my required classes done, and then some just to make it easier on myself. So hopefully it won't be too bad!

Thank You!I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. =) It's not identical to the original and the proportions are a little off but I think a 2yr old wont notice. LOL. He's getting excited to move into his new room. I want to let the paint fumes dissipate(sp?) first. Maybe by the middle of the week.

Hey! guess what? I weaned Dina, Finally I got the nerves to do it, and we did it. Okay, she still cries wants my breasts and she keeps waking up at night touching me and smilling, but I guess this is best for her and for the baby. I hope you wont have any problem weaning bekah. You know what, I realize that it is more diffecult for us as moms to wean that for them ..
