My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Have you had any tornados come close to you? Yeah, coming from Melbourne to NY to KS was a BIG culture shock! Luckily going to PSU kept me under control (for the most part) b/c there wasn't much to do. Plus it was sooo cheap! I ended up with the same job as those who went to Michigan or Purdue and they're still playing off their debt!!!

Youre story is encouraging, both hubby and I have this deep sense that we willconceive straight after this one is born.... we're happy with God's timing, as challenging as it may be!!

We were married in March this year and fell pregnant on my first fertile cycle, we waited until we were married before we lived together etc etc, so it was a very interesting couple of months for us!!

Don't know why I was telling you that, I'm just feeling so blessed in God, He's so good to us.

Actually, I grew up in Australia. Came to the U.S. through the YMCA to work at a Summer Camp. Ended up at Camp Wood in Elmdale KS. From there I went to PSU and moved to MI after graduating. I've been here for 10 years now. Alexis's biological father is from Parsons, KS. I still have some friends in Kansas City, but haven't been south since 03. I bet it was a HUGE adjustment for you!

Okay, she is down for her first nap....I was naughty and rocked her again, I just get so excited she lets me again.

Oh last time I forgot to mention that Laney is like bekah when it comes to bottles, has no desire to hold them herself. NONE. She looks at it with her mouth opened and whines. She holds her sippy cup but misses her mouth and when you help her she just lets go and I end up holding for her. So I have started letting her "play" with the bottle a little when she is done thinking it will help her get the hang of it, we'll see.

That sounds like a cute color scheme for the picture, Bill and I could wear brown, but neither of has any cute brown....my sweater is a very light brown.......I'll have to see if I can find anything cheap by next weekend otherwise I just don't know....we both have red but they aren't the same shade of red.

The ladybug sounds so cute, it sounds like one that is in my magazine that I was thinking about getting, can't wait to see pictures of her in it!

So Bill is finally coming to his sense, thank goodness. He is going to see if he can start the new schedule/pay in October but have a vacation day for hunting or something. I was so relieved to hear him say that.

So you milk supply is crazy huh? I would have guessed the opposite would happen, shows what I know! I can't believe she can drain you that fast, how nice, that is faster than a bottle. Maybe if I would have stuck it out Laney could have gotten that good :)

Yes, everything will be different with the second born, but you know bekah and noah are going to have so much in common and be so close in age. They will have such an amazing bond and they will know each others friends.....there are so many good things about having them close together, and like you said the whole jealousy thing is not much of an issue at bekahs age....thank goodness :) Are you going to wait awhile to try again after noah? I only ask b/c it would be neat to wait awhile and then have two close together again :) Sorry, don't mean to plan your family :) I just don't have the guts to do it so soon, I don't know if I could handle it. The more I think about though, the more I think we should do it sooner than later. So torn, then I think well, lets use this extra money and get stuff really paid for first, but geez how long could that take! Sorry I am just thinking out loud and being a dork.

So happy for guys....I couldn't sleep thinking about bills job last night either :) Oh and Old Navy .com has some leggings on sale for 2 or 3 dollars, the crappy part is you pay like 7 for shipping....but just thought I'd let you in on that. I'll write more later!

My moms dogs wake laney up alot when we are at her house too. Such loud mouths :) What kind do you have? Thats one nice thing about our kitties, they aren't loud enough to wake her, although one does meow really loud at the door to get out sometimes.

That pink leopard outfit sounds SO cute, kudos on not buying on the spot. Hope your having fun at the sale right now! That sounds so fun, wish I could go :) Can't wait to hear what kind of bargains you got.
Oh and that is SO awesome that Kevins the only call back, that is a great sign. I bet you guys get good news soon.

Oh ya, about Bills raise, let me tell how retarded he is. (I'm sure he would love me telling this story). They get their new pay when they start their new schedule. They have to start it by December, but they can start it in October. But Bill won't start until November because if he starts in October he won't get to have opening pheasant hunting day off. SERIOUSLY!!!! Is it worth that much money to you!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently so, and he is NOT to be reasoned with. "I haven't missed it since I've been old enough to hunt and I'm not going to start now"!! Wow, is all can say, nice priorities huh? I mean, I know I should give the guy a break he works his butt of for us, but really that is a lot of money to sacrifice for a day of hunting. But I will quit bitching about it, b/c I had just gotten over it and now I'm all steamed again.

So are you going to try doing the sippy cup thing? Have you been using formula more or just pumping? I would SO be done breastfeeding if I were you, I remember how time consuming it was, but Laney was a POKEY girl. I keep thinking about how hard its going to be to do when we have another child. You are going to do it right? You'll have to let me know how it goes. I go back and forth on when to have another. I don't think I'm quite ready for two yet, but the longer wait the harder it will be to start all over again. I think I will really enjoy Laney being old enough to reason with and walk along and get excited to go places....and then to start over.....It's a nice blessing to be a fertile mertile, but it would be nice to just go with the flow and God do the work, but with Bill and and I all we have to do is think about it and I'm pregnant. Thats a good thing though, you had some hard times that I can't imagine....but now you have one of each...SO SWEET!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...I am obvisouly bored this evening. I haven't eaten supper yet, so I suppose I better get on that. Hope your having fun shopping. Can't wait to hear about it. Take care!!!

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up having a painful day yesterday, I bit the bullet and when and had my wisdom tooth removed, they ended up removing the one next to it to, so I hurt right now, hehehehehehehe.

How perfect is life????? I'm so excited for you!!!! A Son on the way, it's just so fantastic!!!! How was Kevin's reaction???? I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during your scan, hehehehehehe.

I thought about you guys all yesterday. I told Mick that it's a Noah not an Abby hehehehehe, he laughed, hehehehehe.

Oh hehehehe, I keep forgetting to tell you that I had a dream about you all the other night, I dreamt that yous came over here and I was showing you around and we were sight seeing, hehehehehe, the funny part of the dream was Bekah.........she had blond curly hair, hahahahahaha.

What else have you been up to???

I have to go and buy some t-shirts today to take on holiday with us, and we have to to grocery shopping but I think we'll leave that until tomorrow. Mick is going to start up th bbq tonight so I'm looking forward to that.

Anyway I suppose I'd better go and get dressed.

Look at me still avoiding getting productive things done :) I forgot to tell you about the super cute duck costume I found in a magazine for halloween. It is so adorable, it has little billed feet to put over her feet. LOVE IT!! The kitty sounds super cute too, little whiskers, they will be so adorable. Even though they aren't old enough to know whats going on yet :)

Oh and better yet, we got the word that bills company is definetly making the raise happen!!! That is the best news ever, I hope you guys hear good news soon too!!! Now we just need to hear about the whole moving thing :(

Anywho, someone is being really loud outside the window and they need to stop, Laney is such a light sleeper during the day. Yep, there she is DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta go....

Yep, Bill is off to work, he has had such a slack week. so nice! Thats quite a catch-22 you guys have to deal with, nice to have Kevin home more but sucky that then there is less money. I'm sure the second interview will go awesome, good news tomorrow!!!!!

Laney is still so very bald too. She had more hair when she was born then she does now. Everyone always asks us where it's at, like we're shaving it or something. Both Bill and I were bald til almost 2, poor girl hopefully she doesn't have to wait that long, although washing long hair isn't really that fun.

I love our rocking chair, it's a glider rocker, my grandma gave it to us as a baby gift, I was SO excited. I rocked Laney all the time when she was so little, but like you said the cuddles are getting less and less, so sad.

I wouldn't mind cutting that last bottle out, but I get so nervous that Laney doesn't drink enough. I don't want her to get dehydrated. She is supposed to be at a minimum of twenty ounces and she doesn't always get there, if she does its barely. I've tried giving her less food food but that doesn't help. We even put it in her sippy cup yesterday, she drank some, but not much. So weird, at least she'll be easy to wean.

Laney just went down for nap number 2, I was strong and didn't give in..YEAH!!! She cried/whined for about ten minutes then screamed for about two and then silence...so hopefully its a good nap. I've been on the computer and I need to make some baby food and vacuum...both things I hate doing when she is sleeping b/c they are loud and I'm so afraid they will wake her.
