My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! We found out it's a boy and will be naming him Noah Jacob! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Yes, I think about the same thing. My husband and I also want to try for a second baby and always wonder how we will make the adjustment. But then again, when I first brought my daughter home from the hospital we were overwhelmed then and every thing fell into place better than I could have ever imagined.

Yummy, cherry ice cream!!! That sounds great, and its morning :) You would think I was pregnant! That is awesome that you have more than you thought. I was the same way with unisex stuff, I have a few yellow things otherwise I'm all about the girly. It would be a fun change for guys. If you have another will you have it be suprise since you will have one of each. I'm not sure if I could or not.

So she really liked the cheese huh? The only cheese I have tried with Laney is cottage cheese. Her reaction at first was pretty funny, but she kept opening her mouth for more and now she seems to like it.

She actually let me rock her to sleep for her nap, I was floored. And I know I shouldn't have b/c she knows how to put her self to sleep, but like you said, those cuddles are SO nice and soon they will be even less frequent than they already are. Oh last night she had me worried, she would not take a bottle before bed at all. Just screamed at it. I thought for sure she would be up early to eat, but nope, not until 7:30. Couldn't believe it.

Laney and I are on are own here pretty soon until Friday late afternoon or evening so I'm sure Ill be on again. You have a good day!!!

It depends on what model you get, I think Wacom (leading brand of tablets) makes one called the Bamboo and it's for casual users that's affordable. I have the professional version, called an Intuos 3 and it's highly sensitive so it act's like a pen/pencil/painbrush. For something like scrapbooking (I do digital scrapbooking and tag making) a Bamboo is fine, for more intricate works a bigger/more sensitive one is the way to go.

It's my fave art "toy", LOL.

You'll be a natural, just like I'm sure you were with your daughter! The biggest thing to remember with boys is to cover their boy parts with a wipe when you are changing them, that way they don't pee on you!!! LOL!

He's actually being quite gentle today. But today has definitely been a fat day. I feel like my belly might be growing again, because it's getting a tad bit harder to manuver around and i'm getting winded a lot lately.

Well since this is my first, and this is your first boy we can do this together! lol.. boy parts or girl parts it's gonna take lots of getting used to for me :) How's lil Noah doing??

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO excited for you!!! One of each, how perfect! (Love the new blue background by the way). So you were shocked, was Kevin? Did he end up getting to go? You are going to have so much fun shopping this weekend. I really hope you get to find some awesome deals since you'll spending more now. Now if more kids come later you could leave it for a suprise, maybe!?!? That is seriously such good news and everything looks healthy, now just one more good announcement this week and you will be set!

So Laney just screamed for like thirty minutes trying to nap. I just keep going up and giving her blankie and laying her back down...oh she gets so mad when I lay her back down. I'm so horrible, I make it worse b/c sometimes I cant stand it and pick her up and cuddle her, I need to quit so she learns crying doesn't get her way, but sometimes its so much easier than listening to her scream.....I argue with myself, its really horrible. I mixed up some squash and pears for Laney, she really likes it...sounded kind of gross but I am all about mixing fruits and veggies to get more nutrients in. OH, I cooked some apples with cinnamin until they were SUPER tender and then cut them into little tiny pieces. She loves mushing them up and its super easy for her to gum. The only bad part is, they are to soft/mushy to let her handle so you either use a spoon or your hand. But I suppose I better clean up that food mess. Again, SO happy for you guys!!!! Congrats, Congrats!!!!!!

Hi amanda i hope you scan went well mine was ok but the sonographer wasnt very good she was a grumpy woman. We dont know what we are having so we will wait for a surprise at the end. Mark thinks its a girl im not sure. We didnt find out with thomas and i always said boy with him. I had morning sickness in the first months but all ok now, i didnt have that with thomas. And im still so tired though but i think thats also having a little one that wakes at night. I hope you are all well and how is beautiful rebekah hope she is well. Thomas has is back tooth coming through now. Let me know how you got on ok hun. vicky thomas and bump xx

I know, aren't clothes sizes so dumb! Laney is wearing almost all 12 month stuff, she is long but like Bekah her legs are kind of short so most pants are a little long. Hopefully you can find all sorts of stuff at the sale for fall/winter. I have checked back her so many times today to see if you have posted yet, I feel like a stalker :) What's worse is I just want to buy you and the baby something and I can't bring it to you!

Laney did do pretty well with the pasta, it took her FOREVER to gum each little piece so she didn't end up eating a lot of it b/c she got tired of doing it, can't say I blame her. I think she might be having another tooth pop soon, the drool is unreal again and seems a little cranky. I left her with Bill to go run some errands and he said she cried almost the whole time, of course when I got home she was fine...could be that awful mama seperation you were talking about!

Oh well, I well check back soon! Hope everything went great!!!

I'm SOOOO excited for you! I can't wait to hear your news today!!! I'm like you...feeling a lot more movement as well. It comes and goes throughout the day. Last night, Luukas was watching Thomas the Train and my little baby boy was going NUTS. I told Luukas and he got a kick out of it!! I'm good overall.....staying in bed all day. getting out for a few minutes at a time and that's it. I can't wait for my appt next Tuesday.
