My name is Amanda and I have a beautiful daughter named Rebekah Nichole. She's going to be a big sister this January! I have PCOS and it took us 6 years to conceive Bekah so it was quite a shock to conceive our second baby in only one month of trying...and even while I was still nursing! God has blessed us so much and we are very grateful for the chance to raise at least two beautiful babies. My husband and I firmly believe in God's timing and now that we have hindsight we are so glad we did not have Rebekah sooner than we did. Not only did it allow our relationship to mature, it also gave us plenty of time to finish school, remodel our house, and find a wonderful church home. Not to mention the perfect timing of family moving close to us! It sure seems like there was a plan in action...even though we had no clue at the time.

I absolutely love this site. I have met so many wonderful moms and moms-to-be and I cherish the relationships I have made. It's fantastic to have an outlet for adult conversation while I'm home without my husband all day! If you send me a message I can guarantee you I will happily reply! I always look forward to making new friends!

Don't apolgoize, please do complain about missing Kevin makes me feel like less of a whiner! I know I have one friend who gets excited when her husband is gone so she gets alone, she thinks I am nuts for not loving bills job, so its good hear someone is "normal" like me :)

I bet Bekah will love the new baby food, it doesn't sound that bad, although I bet it won't look to pretty, blended meat, yum, yum! Squash and Yams are Laney's favorite veggies by far. She used to really like peas but now she has to be in the mood for them, kind of like Bekah with her avacodo. I let her sample that once and she didn't really care for and i never really tried again. She has green beans and her mix and that is about it.

This morning she started talking at 6:30!! So being the mean mommy I am, I ignored for about a half hour and then she went back to sleep and she is just starting to wiggle now and its 8:30!! Poor girl is probably starved, I had better go get her! Hope you have a great day!

Well I'm still awake, hehehehehehe, just about to give Ally her dream feed and I thought I would stop in here first, lol.

Well her bump has gone down heaps!!!!! And yes I agree with you, it's amazing how quickly they get over it, if it were me I would probably still be crying, hehehehehe.

The only meat Ally has tried has been in the already made tins that you can buy and she loved them, I haven't made any myself as she's still not to keen on having lumpy food, but she is getting better. I made her vegies a little lumpy this week and she seems to be doing fine.

Ally used to roll to get to where she wanted to be, it's so cute isn't it. We played hide and seek today, I crawled around the kitchen bench and she chased me, when I peeped at her around the corners she cracked up laughing, she laughed so loud, that I was laughing loud and Mick came out to see what was going on, hehehehehe. She hasn't said dada for 3 days and Micks getting a little worried, it's so funny he tries so hard to get her to say it, lol.

Oh getting back to the food thing, my health nurse said to introduce egg at 8 months but what I want to know is how on earth you would introduce egg???? Ally is coping really well with cows milk but I don't want to increase it yet because I know if she has a little more than usual she has a bit of a runny poo (tmi i know) at the end of the day, but she never seems to be irritated or anything.

Ok well I should really go give her a bottle and get myself into bed, I think I'm over tired as I'm starting to get a little light headed and dizzy.

What a fun new page you chose!

I'm with you on the lonely feeling and Bill has actually been around a decent amount lately. I was already in bed once and got back up...bed is so lonely by myself. I actually thought about going to get Laney, then I realized that would be very selfish and we will both sleep much better if i leave it be.

That's funny that Bekah has been on the verge of crawling so long. She must be content to do things her own way. Laney has amazed me yet again, I walked back into the living room where I left her and she was standing holding on to her bouncy seat! I swear she wants to grow up way to fast! She is to little to do things like that and of course she toppled over not long after, but she thought she was pretty cool and now is she is trying to pull her self up all the time, although she is rarely successful.

She seems to be handling her tooth pain much better, not nearly as fussy, I suppose the main pain of breaking skin is over. I was going to ask you if you mixed her brocolli in anything when you introduced it? It's such a strong veggie, one of the recipes in my book said to blend it with apple juice, just curius how Bekah reacted right away. I just hate that I don't have very many veggies to give her. Although I bought one of those steam in the bag mixed veggies, that is SO easy. Pop in the microwave and blend. Its awesome!

So what do you get to do to celebrate your anniverary? Something really fun I hope, do you have a sitter?

Bill's job does pay for all hotels when they have to stay places, not usually suites, but that was the only vacancy they could find so they will, and they give so much money for meals too, so that is awesome. Alot of times he makes good money on that b/c he just picks up something real cheap to eat and then gets to pocket the rest.

I better try to go to bed again, my luck Laney will decide its a good morning to get up early otherwise. Hope your night got better and hope you get some quality time soon! Have a good one!

Well this is just a quick message I will reply properly later when Ally has her afternoon nap........well I never wrote back anymore last night as we had a little incident here.....Mick was getting Ally out of the bath and she slipped out of his hands and smacked her head on the bath, I though for sure she had cracked her head open but luckily she didn't........we had to call the nurse to see whether we should take her to the hospital as she had a nasty bump on the side of her head, but she told us just to keep and eye on her and not to let her sleep for 2 hours and then keep going in and making sure she's ok. It was so scary, Mick was nearly in tears!!!!! But 5 mins after it happened she was her usual self, lol.

I checked out your belly pic, wow you certainly look preggers now!!!!!!!! I am so so excited!!!!!!!

How great that Bekah gets herself in the sitting position and gets up on her hand and knees!!!! Your going to be in for it soon!!!! hehehehehe. I'm wondering if Ally just wont crawl on her hands and knees as she's quite fast commando crawling, maybe she will just walk next, lol, she does get up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth though so who knows. She occasionally goes over to her little couch and pulls herself up on her feet, it's so cute but they're growing way to fast!!!! lol.

Well I'd better get back to the little monkey I've left her in her highchair watching a dvd, hehehehe, good way to get 5 mins, lol.

Ahhh...your belly definetly grew a ton! So cute, I just wanna rub it, I miss watching my move around. Pretty soon Kevin will be able to see the movements, Bill was always so amazed by that, it is pretty cool.

So did you try the noodles? I know she is old enough but I'm curious as to how they mash them up with only bottom teeth....do you over cook them so they are super soft and do the gum up? Just curious.

You didn't gross me out about the bathroom at all, I was the same way pregnant, I even not I don't do it as much as I should b/c I hate it so much. When I was pregnant i couldn't even go in the room where the cats litter box is without gagging, that was the nicest part-Bill had to clean it, ahhh I miss that.

Finally got a hold of the stupid IRS today and all they did was "look through all the records" and couldn't find it, they just said to mail it again. So this time I did it through fed ex so they have to sign for it and I get a confirmation. Hopefully that does the trick!

So Bill was home all day today and then at six got a call that he had to go fly...so bummed, but anyway he just calls and tells me the only rooms left were jacuzzi suites. Like thanks, rub it in a little more that I am here and you are there in an awesome suite and jacuzzi all to yourself...Geez, some nerve :) But since he was home I got to go to town alone and do my mist and tan....which was interesting, I think it worked okay except my feet. I didn't get them wiped in time and they are pretty funky looking, but its a long dress plus the shoes so it should be okay.

Oh, so how was your day today? Anything exciting with bekah or the pregnancy? Not much for Laney, well I guess I think her teeth broke through. You can feel the top of them! I hope that means the hard part is over, for awhile anyway! But I suppose better get working on that speech I keep avoiding. Have a good night!

Well Ally slept until 9am this morning, I usually don't let her sleep for so long but I must have been in a deep sleep myself, lol. Her bed time is around 7.30-8pm so she's doning really well!!!!!

How great that Bekah and Abbie (lol) will have matching cribs!!!!! (It is Abbie isn't it???)
And if it's still a great deal even after having to pay for the gas to get there, I say why not!!!! lol.

Well I had my hair done, it's a bit darker than I would like but it will fade quickly, and I had a foil put in the front that I wanted a bit lighter but I'll just get that one redone next week.

Ally's cold has completely gone which is great, no more snotty nose, hehehehe

We Ally has her health center check up in a couple of weeks, I'm really hoping by that time she will be up and crawling properly (hands an knees) and getting in the sitting position on her own, which she does do but she needs to pull her self up on something otherwise she only gets 3/4 of the way, lol. How's Bekah going with all that stuff??????

Well Dad didn't have his scans yesterday, he didn't want to go

he said that he would know if he was sick (typical male)!!!!!! So I guess all I can do is pray that he's healthy and that he starts gaining weight!!!!

Speaking of weight I know I definitely haven't lost as much as last month but at least I haven't gained, I still have 11 days before I have to go back to the Drs, so I'm really going to work the next 11 days, lol.

Oh I forgot to say....when I came in the door before after having my hair done, I think it took Ally a bit to realize who I was, she kept looking at Mick like who is this lady!!!! hehehehehehe.

Well I'm off to play with Ally while she's up, I'll write more a bit later.

No more teeth yet huh? That's good, I think they need a break after all the work of those first couple! Is it the top two that come next? Then what? I know their molars aren't for quite a while....

That's awesome you found a matching crib! Hope you can get it, when do you think you will know? So much easier the second time, you don't have to buy nearly as much stuff. I'm starting to get bummed I have to find a place to store all the things. She is already done with a lot of stuff.

Ya, tried to call the IRS a couple more times and big suprise, they are having technical difficulites...whatever they just don't want to help anyone!

Plum and apple oatmeal sounds yummy. Do you make regular oatmeal or use the baby kind? I have used the baby kind so far, I think we she gets older I will switch. I haven't' given her plums yet, there are so many fruits to try! I wish there were more veggies, I'm going to have to try broccoli eventually. Laney loves bread too, I had some cinnamin sugar toast for breakfast and of course she loved that, who wouldn't!?!?! I'm going to wait until seven months for yogurt which is just around the corner, crazy! My book says you can introduce some meat at 8 months...like you said that does not sound yummy, ground up meat...but some of the recipes aren't to bad once you add veggies and stuff. I wonder if you can freeze those?

That sounds like a fun cruise! We want to do an alaska one someday and probably a carribean of some sort. We are so far from any ports that we have to spend a boat load to fly to a port. If only bill could just use the planes he flies for personal use :) That would be SO awesome. We have taken a smaller one a couple times and they give a pretty decent deal, but when we would have to go a long way or for a longer time it wouldn't pay. We actually got married in Jamaica so I thought it would be fun to go back for our anniversary, but bill pointed out there are so many other places we want to see that we shouldn't repeat...I guess I agree. I just hope we actually get to go somewhere someday again.

Laney is in a little better mood, felt like the day was dragging and on, we we ventured into the heat for a walk, then as soon as we got home she was ready for a nap, thank goodness! Picked up a couple things to make homeade ice cream...I want to tonight, but I don't think bill will be home until like 10, so I will probably have to wait. Hopefully he doesn't have to go anywhere tomorrow, I need to get in somewhere and do a mist and tan for the wedding! I have never done it before I hope I don't turn orange! But Angie informed me that everyone else is really tan so i suppose I better or I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb!

Oh..I almost forgot..you mentioned your hip pain..I go through the SAME thing. I actually use a heating pad, it's safe as long as you only use it in 15 min sessions. But it helps. It's rather crazy they say not to sleep on your back becuase it puts too much pressure on all your organs as the baby grows and it's best to sleep on your left side, however THEY MUST NOT BE PREGNANT! When you sleep on your left or right your hips, and shoulders hurt. Can't win for losing.

Hey. Sorry I didn't reply more quickly. That is good that you get to find out on Sept. 10. I just went to the doctor a few hours ago and my appointment to find out is on Sept. 15! I will be almost 19 weeks then. We heard the heartbeat last Tuesday and I heard it today too and it has slowed a tiny bit, but that is aok with me. I can't wait until Sept now!!! How is everything going this time around? Good I hope. Next step for me is feeling this baby kicking. Haven't felt any movement yet, but it is still early!!! Have a great week!

Well, I can't wait to hear....was it b/c of another tooth!?!? Hopefully our girls have a better day today than yesterday. I can't believe how close both of laneys bottom ones are to coming in, you can see the outline of them plain as day! That is so funny to see teeth marks on things I bet, my Grandma has marks on her coffee table from some of her grandkids going through teething.

I would definelty do the nursery in airplanes, I want to paint blue and then have clouds and a painting of an airplane....(I was sure I even had laneys room painted blue) so we had to repaint after the ultrasound. We had to know for sure and it was a good thing!

I am so frustrated with the IRS!!! We got this notice for the second time saying they haven't recieved our tax return. But, I sent it in with the check in March...they cashed they check and yet they are still claiming they didn't get the return- HELLO, they were in the same envelope!!! SO I resent the return once and they are still saying they don't have it...GRRR!!! So for three days I have been trying to call the number I wait for five minutes and then it says due to technical difficulty we cannot take your call now...good bye and it hangs up. Seriously! How I am supposed to get anything figured out if their phones don't work! But anyway, at least we aren't in trouble or anything they have their money so they aren't terribly concerned I guess.

Another super hot day today, would love to take laney to the pool today, but I think it closed already. School starts so early now its just crazy. But I suppose the little one is stirring already. Hope you girls are having a better day!

Hello! Glad that Bekah went back to sleep for you, Laney is like that about 7, if it is before 7 and you give her a bottle she is right back asleep. I'm not much of a morning person although I'm getting better so thats good.

I'm with you on the sports stuff, not a big fan of it. Of course I'm personally not a very sportsy kind of person, not real athletic or anything. I already have quite a bit of boy stuff though, everytime I see anything airplane I used to buy it.....so hopefully some day I have a little boy and he will have lots of airplane themed things. I was certain Laney was going to be a boy, guess I was way off!

Went and got some teething tablets today, I think they help her too. She is pretty fussy today, but not really her usual. Usually when she is fussy she just wants to be cuddled which isn't so bad, today is just fussy no matter what. That's funny that Bekah is becoming a mamas girl, bill is hoping laney doesn't do that :) What do they expect when they are with us all day!

She's been fussing in her crib for about ten minutes, I know she is tired and I think she finally gave up, I hope....it's quite anyway. Had to make some more prunes and green beans today. I wish I had more "fun" recipes that combined things like the cranberry apple one, but there just aren't many normal ones. Have you found any websites with good ones? I haven't looked much.

Oh man, she whining again, i better go check on her. Hope yours and bekahs day is going better than ours!
