My name is Amanda and I gave birth to Rebekah Nichole on December 28, 2007. I followed my pregnancy with this site but never became a V.I.P. member. I wish I had because I feel like I know many of you that were due around my due date. I enjoyed reading your pages and comments throughout my pregnancy and cried each time I discovered one of you had given birth. Most of the time I felt like you were the only people who understood everything I was feeling, especially those last few weeks when time seemed to stand still and the waiting carried on forever. Rebekah's birth story is on her own page along with several of my favorite pictures. I would love for you to check it out!

God has blessed us so much and I am very excited to share that I am expecting another baby on January 21, 2009! It will be much more fun to follow along with everyone now that I'm officially a member. I really hope to make some new friendships as I share my little bundles of joy with all of you. I just LOVE watching my husband play with his baby girl! She smiles at his beard and enjoys hearing his voice when he talks specifically to her. It melts my heart to see how much he loves her. I am so thankful to God for giving him these joyful moments and I hope and pray my husband will have many more babies to love!

I'm feeling better, thank you. I wonder if the antibiotics were making me feel worse lately. Yes my appt is tomorrow (should be about 13 weeks). I'm very excited, but also wish time would go fast. I'll be anxious to start looking pregnant instead of just a little chubby :) When did you find out what you were having last time (if you did)? I'm so surprised how many girls at 12-13 weeks say they know already. I'd love to know soon. But I guess I'll find out either way eventually! Hope your appt goes great! Talk to you soon.

Yeah everyone is tall in my family (I'm the shortest)lol, and Mick's family is short and tall, lol. I think Ally will be a lot like my Mum.

Is it possible to stay with a member of the bride's family instead of a hotel??? It would save you a little money if you could.

I so feel your bordem and laziness, I've been so bored that I actually did some cleaning, lol, I did give up half way through though, lol.

I will give Ally medicine before bed tonight and see how that goes. She's been pretty good today, no crying she just wants to play with her toys.

Michael is going to the car yard soon to see if he can talk the guy into putting the price down on the car we like, if he doesn't then I will take that as a sign to not buy a car, lol.

Anyway I'm off for now, I have no energy at all, lol.

Thanks so much for your message. This time around is so much better but I still am nervous everyday that something might happen. After my next doctor's appointment I start to go to my doctor's only once a month so I rented a fetal Doppler to help reassure me that everything is ok between visits. It hasn't arrived yet but I can't wait to start using it. How is everything going for you? It sounds like you had a great vacation.

Yeah here you turn the car seat around once they reach 8 kilos so that would be 17.6 pounds. It was funny when we went to pick Mick up.....he got in the car and I said 'there's a surprise in the back for you', he turned around and said 'where', I said 'don't you notice anything different??' and he goes 'oh did you cut Ally's hair' hahahahahaha, I'm like 'no, how about the way she's facing', he goes 'ooooohhhhhhhh' I didn't even notice, hahahahahaha, ahhhh some men are thick, lol. She loves facing forward though, she just stares and smiles at me.

Ally is in between the 25 and 50% for her head circumference, she's in between the 75 and 90% for her weight and she's off the chart for her length!!!!! So I am guessing that she's going to be very tall, lol.

Well last night was shocking......Ally didn't stop crying and screaming until 11pm, I have no idea why, it could be her shots, her teeth or her little cold that she seems to be getting or all of the above, hehehehehe, I gave her some infants friend and she was asleep 15 mins after, not sure if thats what helped or whether she was just really tired, but I will give her more tonight before bed to see. I saw this stuff in the pharmacy yesterday it's called 'calm' not sure if it works though, I also saw those teething tablets, they're a bit pricey and I don't want to get them if it's not her teeth that are making her irritable and I always hear that their first tooth doesn't bother them, not sure if thats true though, so yeah I'm kind of stuck about what to do next......any suggestions????

Yeah I wouldn't be looking forward to such a long drive either!!!!!!! Especially with little Bekah. Why is it so far away???

I'm getting Ally an animal train for Christmas this year, I'm sure she'll love it.

Well I'll write more later I really need to have my shake for breakfast, it's already 11am here, then I need to brush my teeth and hair while can, lol.

Well, I am glad to hear that your day went smoother than mine :) Mine did get better, no more temps all day long and she was in a much better mood, thank goodness!

That is such a good idea, buying clothes for the opposite season.....I should do that, but its hard to know what size, Laney is apparently supersize baby. She weighed in at 17 pounds and 3 ounces today! She just doesn't seem chubby to me, oh well. They didn't do her height though.

I love scrapbooking! However, I haven't even started Laney's book. I have the pregnancy one finished, but not so much on hers. I have all the stuff ready, I just hate getting it all out to work on for a half hour and then putting it all away. Actually I am getting a card table from my mom and am going to leave it up in our extra bedroom, hopefully then I will get going on it.

But I suppose, Laney is still crying from me putting her to bed, so I better go check on her. Later!

Ok girlie... go get some rest. I took a short nap and Jason is now giving Justen a bath, then he is gonig to his sleep study. He is such a baby and doesn't want to go..be away from home for one night. Isn't that awful but sweet at the same time. Most men would jump at the opportunity to be gone for a night.
I know I won't sleep too well knowing he's not here..yes I am a SAP too!
Well, I'm going to try to get ready for bed..I'm still SOOO tired. I'm glad you got to watch your nephew but it sounds like it was a bit much. Try to get some rest and I'm with you on wanting the week to end.

What a neat idea, I have never heard of the headband thing before. I would really love to go shopping and get Laney some things, she is outgrowing my friends daughter so she doesn't get many clothes anymore. Our nearest town with good shopping is almost almost two hours away, so its going to be really hard to do with Laney. I'll have to eventually though, or else find a sitter :(

Took Laney to the doctor today just to make sure it was just a cold b/c she had a little fever yet this morning. Of course when I get there she has no fever, no runny nose, and is hamming it up...which is fine, I'm glad she was feeling better, but makes me look like one of those crazy moms. But yes, it is just a little cold and she is MUCH better...naps are way down compared to the last two days. So then, I got to get in the car to take her home and a big red check engine light comes on...crap! So I take it to the place right away to see why (so nervous of course, thinking we are going to have to spend more money on this crap car we just bought last summer)...and get this, the gas cap wasn't on all the way...seriously a check engine light for that!!! And of course they say in front of everyone waiting so course I look like a crazy person yet again and all by 11 in the morning. But again, at least it wasn't something big.

Other than that, the day has been pretty boring, made laney some pears to try for breakfast tomorrow. Hows your day going? Any new developments? Hope things are well..talk to you soon!

we are doing fine thanks, we are settling down nicely now, and im managing to get a little time here and there to do things! Mia is 5 weeks today, shes smiling alot now, can hold her head up for a while and she can turn her head if we talk to her, she also coos now! I love seeing her grow up but im also missing her being 'NEWBORN' if you know what i mean!

Hows everything going 4 u and little one? or should i say little ones!

Ok well Ally's having her nap and I'm off the phone for once, lol.

Yep well we all new I have a little porka!!! The nurse said that she's at the weight now where I can turn her baby car seat facing forward, how weird is that going to be. She also told me that I can start introducing dairy and at 8 months start introducing eggs, she also said that by 12 months Ally should be off formula and on full cream milk. Oh and she also agrees that Ally's tooth is going to pop through very soon.

Bekah is so much smaller than fatty pumba Ally, lol. I saw a friend from school yesterday when we were getting photos done and she had her 8 month old daughter with her who happens to be quite small to, Mick couldn't believe that Ally was younger than her, lol.

I don't think it's bad thinking that you could take your vacation with the wedding money, I can't believe how much this wedding is costing you, it's unreal!!!! I don't know that I could fork out that much to attend a friends wedding, not with living expenses sky rocketing, I would much prefer to spend it on a nice relaxing vacation and to be quite honest I probably would!!! Selfish I know but hey it's a lot of money. Oh and if anyone needs a nice relaxing vacation it's you, with Bekah and the bean I think you deserve some time to relax and put your feet up!!!!!

I have never heard of digital srapbooking, sounds very interesting though, I will definitely have to check it out!!!! Sounds cheap enough to.

How cute Bekah petting the dog's gently, that's probably why they don't mind her, Ally on the other hand tries to yank the cats hair off, hehehehehe, so not a gentle little girl, I feel sorry for the cats when Ally starts walking man is she going to go them, hehehehehe.

Ally seems to be getting a little cold, her nose seems a little snuffly, I hope it just goes away. She's a little grumpy today, probably from yesterdays shots, she kept looking at me when the nurse was holding her and dropping her bottom lip, so sad but so cute to, lol. Then we got home and the little monkey crawled under the coffee table and bumped her head, then we had tears!!!! She's been very clingy to, like when I go to put her on her mat sometimes she just cries and wants me to keep holding her, is Bekah like that???

I have to pick Mick up in an hour from work, he doesn't know that Ally can face forward in the car, I thought we would just surprise him, lol.
I'm going to have to go for a walk when we get home so I'm hoping the rain will hold off. I did the hardest walk yesterday, I walked up this big hill twice, thought I was going to die!!!! hehehehehehe, I don't really want to do that again today but I don't have much of a choice as there are big hills everywhere here, so annoying!!!!!

Oh the new photos of Bekah are just adorable!!!!!! She really is small isn't she? lol. I'm sure that she is going to have the biggest growth spurt soon and she'll go way over Ally, hehehehehehe, nah don't think she'll ever be bigger than my little porky, hehehehehehe.

Well I'm off for now, I'll probably write more later, I can't seem to stop rambling lately, I do it to everyone though, I just crap on about nothing to Mick, lol, at least he PRETENDS to listen though, lol, oh and I feel sorry for anyone that calls me because I just yack yack yack at the moment, lol.

Yeah, she's going to be such a great help, it's just a shame that they'll never be at school together.......My sister and I never were, but we're still close....
My mum fell pregnant with my second brother when the first was 1 month old!! They are now 23 & 24 and very close... there was always someone to play with and they had each other at school.
6 months is such a fun age... I loved that age with my daughter.....
Yes, summer will be interesting, though we are headed to Indonesia in Oct so I'm planning on stocking up on a lot of flowy, light clothing over there, we also live right near the beach and have air-conditioning so hopefully that'll help. My due date is usually about 100 degrees! I'm sure I'll be fine, luxury compared some women throughout the globe.

I couldn't see your NY pics. I'd love to have a peak.

We plan on travelling to the US in the future, if we friends in South Carolina who have invited us to stay, my hubby has been to Hawaii twice, he's an avid surfer.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I've never even clicked on her photo to see her photos!! I just looked at the ones on your profile!! I just fell in love all over. You know she is going to have SOOOOO much hair right? My Justen was born with a cute little bald head and he has a gorgeous thick head of hair now.
I love the cabbage patch one..both their cheeks are sticking out..lol
And she is just such a ham!!

Hi! Your new pictures are SO cute, I can tell you really like bows :) Laney has a couple, but she has kind of a large head so they don't really fit her and they leave awful indentions and red marks, so needless to say she doesn't really wear them.

She is so pooped out by this cold, she went to bed at 7, luckily bill is home or i would really be bored, but he had to get up at 3:30 for work so he will be in bed shortly too. Laney still had a fever on and off today so I'm not sure whats going on, might take her in if that doesn't stop. I'm sure they won't do anything, but it would make me feel better I think.
Well, just wanted to quick say hi and see how things were going, oh and it looks you were so very busy on your trip, you had a lot of people to visit! Were there more than just those in the pics? I can see how that vacation lacked the element of relaxation. Well, have a good night!
