Well had my doctors appointment today.. doctor says i am 100% effaced and 3cm dilated, he did a membrane sweep to see if that would get things going...later in the afternoon my contractions were getting to 2-3 mins apart for 4 hours.. finally went in to labour and delivery at 10:30 pm today and no progress.. still 3 cms..I can't even believe this is happening.. it is taking so long!! I am having so many contractions..I have to take gravol at night to make me sleep or else I throw up all night long..oh i just feel like this is never going to actually happen for me....

Well was in labour and delivery last night.. still only dialted 1 cm and 85% effaced...had a doc appointment today and now I am 2 cm and almost completely effaced..making progress just very slowly...having contractions all day today.. the doc said she thought I would either deliver today or tomorrow.. it's so not looking like that is happening though..ahhhh we will have to see....

Well my baby shower is tomorrow.. I am finally off bed rest and able to do what I want...had to go to the hospital yesterday cause I pulled the ligaments around my uterus.. ahh it hurt so bad..I am 75% effaced and 1 cm Dialated..also lost my plug yesterday...YUK.. so it could be a few days or a few weeks I guess we will have to wait and see... Baby Jaiden is doing great though.. strong heart beat and wiggling around still... can't wait to meet him.

Got back from my doc appointment/ Ultrasound...Baby Jaiden is weighing in at 6 pounds 7 ounces.. my goodness he is a big boy.. I posted a new ultrasound pic.. I am so in love with my little man....I cannot wait to meet him..he is my world! I am moving in two days.. yay I can finally get some stuff done for my little miracle boy...

I had to redo the glucose test today! They lost my results from the first time I did it...ahh I was not impressed.. thats my vent....on a good note baby Jaiden is weighing in at 5 pounds 1 ounce and doc says he is perfect for his dates and that 5 pounds is perfect for 33 weeks just incase anyone is wondering......I love my little man.. he is so worth every minute of everything i am going through right now

Well I just got home from the hospital...i was in there for five days..i wemt into labour on thursday night... they stopped the labour and now i am home on in home care...a nurse comes to my place to check on me and the baby... Jaiden is doing great though..3 pounds 6 ounces...my cervix is funneling and i am 75% effaced but not dialating.. so i think he will hold on a little while longer....

Well I am back from my trip to Florida! Baby enjoyed the trip lots.. he was kicking and bouncing around the whole time...he kept me up all night!! LOL I am getting very big.. people were asking me if I was ready to deliver!!! Ahhh and i still have almost three months to go! LOL oh well...I am just very glad the baby was good and stayed put (I really didn't want to deliver in a far away place.. and pay..seeing as how I live in Canada and don't have to pay anything!!)

Well 26 weeks tomorrow...I had my ultrsasound on friday and I am very happy to say my amniotic fluid is just perfect and my cervix is still long and closed!! I think he gonna hold on for me in there...Yay...My little man is actually measuring a week and a half ahead of his dates but they don't want to change my due date cause at this point I guess babies grow at different rates..I am so glad my little man is doing great...His heart rate was 141 BPM at the ultrasound as well...And yay I actually get to go on my trip to florida in 5 days.. my doc says it's ok!!! I am very excited... New ultrasound pics in my photobook as well!!

Yay..it's Valentines Day..we found out our our appointment yesterday that everything is looking ok... I am going to be having an ultrasound every two week to make sure baby is growing ok and to make sure my amniotic fluid level stays up...cervix is still closed and long but they will be monitoring that closely too...Oh well that means I get to see my baby boy every two weeks...I'm just so relieved I am finally getting the medical attention I need!!

Yay February...24 weeks soon....We are thinking our Baby Boys name will be Jaiden James.....but not completely sure...I bought a summer infant Heartrate monitor and i love it.. i hear him kick with it all the time but if i catch him napping i can hear his heartbeat..so cool.. can't wait till May!!!!

Had my doctors appointment today.. baby's heart rate was about 140 BPM... he is happy and healthy.. i got my ultrasound results back from my 20 week scan and everything is perfect....I love my baby boy so much...my uterus is measuring at 26 weeks though so i dont know what that means.. i might be having a huge baby..lol My contractions have slowed down a lot and my cervix is still completely closed...Yay!!!

Well i was in the hospital till 12 am last night..having regular contractions...they cannot figure out why i am getting them. They send a sample to find out if maybe it is caused by a UTI.. so we will see...the contractions are not dialating my cervix at all so that is a very good thing!!!I need my little boy to hold on in there and at least try and make it to 30 weeks.. im really nervous but trying to relax as best i can!! I have another appointment next week so we will see how it goes.. please keep my little boy in your prayers!!! Thanks. hope everyone is doing well..

It's a BOY!!! yay... my boyfriend and I are so excited. I can't believe how much I love my little boy already...He is very active and the ultrasound showed that he is doing very well and i guess he is a cubby baby! LOL His belly is very round!! All i know is he is so cute!! I can't wait till I get to meet him.

Yay, I get to have my ultrasound on January 11th..I am so excited. We hope everything is moving along just as it should and hope the baby is doing great. I just really want a healthy baby! ok wow....so from your last post we sounds like we are in the exact same boat here lady! i found out im 3cm today also (thats up from 2cm last week) and im 90% effaced and i ALSO have an apt next wed!! wow we rock! oh!!! and i ALSO got my membranes stripped today!!! haha hopefully something happens for us! :) good luck!

It is frustrating to me that they won't help you out at all. If I hadn't had the pre-eclampsia I probably wouldn't have done an induction...but I would have had them strip my membranes etc. BUT...you are having pain, throwing up and having a very rough time. It's not a normal case and I wish that they would help you out. I guess keep going to L&D if you are suffering and hopefully they will take care of you!!!!!!

Honey! I am so sorry to hear about your laboring for so long. I wasn't in labor nearly as long as you but I know that the delayed laboring at home getting nowhere is NOT fun. Even after all I went through keeping him in and the delayed labor...when I was induced I didn't have him for 27 hours after the induction started!!!!!!!! Even after everything and pushing for THREE hours my cervix was not FULLY 10cms. It was safe to push but there was still a little lip. I know it is frustrating, but hang in there. I am so glad that we worked so hard to keep our babies IN. It was heartbreaking to see my little man losing so much weight and having to be in the photolight treatment. I could only hold him during feedings and I couldn't IMAGINE having a preemie.
I know what you are going through is very tough. You want to hold him in your arms. What they say about everything you went through being worth it...it's SO true. I would go through that pregnancy over and over for the rest of my life for just a couple moments with this baby. Being a Mommy is the best thing life has to offer. Before you know it, you will be holding that little man in your arms----you'll be OUT of pain and you'll be a MOMMY!

Dang you sound like your ready to go! My mom went into labor too and never dialated past 2 so they did a csection. Sometimes you have to get crazy with your Dr. I had to for her to put me out of work. I was bleeding and spotting at about 7 1/2 months working like 12hrs a day I was loosing it mentally and my husband told her you put her out she and the baby are not in a healthy enviorment. So she did and has been super cool since then. I hope baby decides to pop out for you very soon!!

No worries at all. I didnt take it that way. Its just some woman get so out of control when they hear c-section but its ok. No matter what happens you just want a healthy out come for you and the baby you know. It is kind of nice to know when the baby is going to be out! lol Thanks for the kind words... i will post some pictures for sure!!!

It's just so frustrating. I can never ever remember a time in my life where I was counting down the days constantly. I have never wanted something so much. It's kind of like being a 5 year old at Christmas. Without having a concept as to when Christmas really is. For so long we were teased and know it's like waking up every morning being told it's Christmas but that we can't open our gifts. I know it will all be worth it...but it feels like it's taking forever. It's totally an obbession and this site just fuels the addiction. AUGHGHGHGHGHGHG. I guess we can only try to be as patient as we can and know that it will happen for us soon!

Oh honey! I just don't get it! We spent so much time keeping them in and now we are having the slowest labors ever. That is what happened to me not this past weekend, but the one before. They were "sure" I was going to have the baby because the contractions were so strong on the machine and consistent...but it didn't create anymore dilation. I am not having them as consistently now..they come and go. But, it is exhausting! Will they help you out once you are 3cms? Are you able to sleep at all?
I am going to the doctor in a couple hours. I PRAY that they have some news for me. I might go postal otherwise.

Hey-
I am really frustrated as well!!! I am SO thankful that I worked so hard to keep him in...but I stopped doing everything I was doing and have done everything to help him come out and now he doesn't want to! We went to dinner tonight and we had to leave. I was having bad contractions every four minutes for a minute....after an HOUR they started to fade! What the heck? I will CRY if we are in week 41-42 waiting!

I wasn't going to celebrate it really...but I think that we are mommy's just that our babies are in our bellies. Last Mother's Day was really emotional as I was told right before that I wouldn't be able to have kids. So...I kinda just ignored it and then this year all my mom friends are saying HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY and reminding me that just because they are in our bellies doesn't mean that we aren't moms to be:) I hope our babies come soon!!

I know! Instead of shirts that say "Yes, I'm pregnant. I'm due in May, it's a boy, and no you can't touch my belly." We will need shirts that say..."Baby was born in May, I'm working on losing this weight, and no he is all mine you can't touch him" :)
I think my big concern is people touching and holding the baby when they are sick. People are SO stupid and don't think about those things. I think I'll have to get a fanny pack or something lame like that just to carry a bottle of purell everywhere:)

One of my friends just had her baby. She missed him being in her belly when her belly was the only thing that he knew. She gets jealous with other people holding him and actually can't wait for when he says "MAMA" and cries in someone elses arms. I guess we will all have these types of emotions. I just know that we will have an extra special bond with our little dudes with all that we have been through to bring them into the world:)

Hello Rikki, The choice has become easy for me to make. I'm due here in 2 weeks not sure the sex of the baby, but one thing I am sure of is we will be having him circumsized. Some men have their foreskin and never have any problems, while others can suffer terrible pain later in life with it. My husband is not circumsized but if he doesn't get his problems under controll he will be getting one, which at age 35 I would image could be quite painful. Its a choice you must make. If we didn't have this experience we might not be doing it. Good luck, I'm sure you'll make the right choice for your son. God Bless!

also another thing if your thinking of doing it later you should know that doctor's will not do the circumcision once your son has reached 10 pounds or heavier. so if you wait you wont be able to wait forever.
