Hello our names are Megan and Ryan Rodriguez. We created this account together to network with others. We have been married for almost three years and have a two year old daughter together. Our first pregnancy with Nevaeh was such a memorable and great experience. I did prenatal yoga every night and we walked almost every night. I stayed away from sweets and tried my best to be as healthy as possible. These habits during pregnancy paid off when I gave birth to our daughter. I last full-term, and it only took one hour to give birth. We went to the hospital at 2:00 pm and I was only 3 centimeters dilated. After about one hour I became 8 centimeters dilated and Nevaeh was born at 3:18 pm. We were so surprised, but very excited. We are huge proponents of mothers exercising and eating as healthy as possible throughout pregnancy. Additionally, I got to breastfeed my daughter for the first 15 months of her life, and we raised her on a book, “On Becoming BABYWISE.” We recommend this book for all first time mothers. We feel that because of the grace of God and our ability to follow what we learned in this book, it allowed us to both do these things while completing our final year of our undergraduate careers in school. We thank GOD everyday! If you have any questions regarding my first pregnancy, feel free to ask. We are happy to talk with others and to share more about our experiences.
Though we feel great about our first pregnancy our family has recently been blessed by God to be pregnant with twins the first month we tried for more in September! We are very excited, but also nervous and would love to hear the success stories of others to learn for ourselves, and given resources. Our goal is to be as prepared as possible when our little ones arrive. Please send any information our way. Congratulations to all of you who are also pregnant.
