Hello everyone!!
My name is Rosangela. Everyone calls me Rosie.
I found out I was pregnant on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 and yes it was total surprise! I had absolutely no idea!! I was shocked more than anything. I couldn't believe the result. I had a million thoughts going through my head! What about school, work, money, how am I gonna tell my job, family, what's gonna happen to my body, etc. I was soooo overwhelmed! I was completely numb with emotion for a long time after that day. I put off calling my doctor for a few weeks cause I was in some sort of denial but more so just being afraid of him confirming the fact that I was expecting.
So, yea, I went about 3 and a half weeks after I found out. At my first visit, I literally showed no emotion. Everyone at his office was congratuating me and I was just like "thanks" but as dry as can be. I thought to myself "these people must think I'm a total jerk; pregnancy is supposed to be such a great experience." I got all my bloodwork req's, bunches of reading material, and of course, my next appointment.
I did all my blood tests as required. In the first set of bloodwork, they checked my progesterone levels. They came back a little low and they called in some progesterone suppositories to my pharmacy. I had no idea of what progesterone was or what roll it played in pregnancy. So, I went to the "good-ole" world wide web and did some reading....WHAT!! I freaked I started crying....called the office when I got myself "together" and asked to speak to a nurse because of what I read on the internet. I guess they noticed I was upset because they called back right away. (They're great with dealing with prenancy "horror-mones"!!) and reassured me that with the suppositories everything will be alright and the placenta was soon to take over and that it was not SOOO low, it was about 2 points lower than what it should have been. In short, this is the day I accepted I was pregnant and realized I had a life growing inside of me and I was totally in love with it.
I head the baby's heartbeat on October 9 (MY BIRTHDAY!!!). It was amazing. I had my doctor appointment at 7:40 in the morning before work. Literally, this was the first thing I had made any contact with, so to speak, on that day!! It was the best birthday present ever!! The rest of the day I was walking on clouds!!

well last night my little man slept thru the night for the first time! i was so excited. i actually woke up twice last night at the times he usually gets up. lol. anyway, i usually do the bath thing in the daytime for some reason but you got me thinking maybe i need to do it in the evening. unfortunately though, i cant lotion him up because he has eczema just like his mommy! its terrible- he doesnt get it as bad as me though. he just gets a small rash on his eyebrows and you can barely see it but i know it doesnt feel good and i cant use stuff with scent and the first time i tried to put lotion on him, he got little spots all over him so im stayin away from that. and as for the cereal, my moms been begging me to put a little in his formula but everytime i do, its like he doesnt eat it or it takes him like 3 hours to finish the bottle. but im gonna try it again to see what happens. i just dont know if im cutting the nipples too small or too big. its confusing. but like i said, he slept all night last night from like 10:30-11 to 5:45am....it was crazy...my hubby kepts asking me if he was ok. i was like..just leave him alone PLEASE!! lol. thanks for letting me know some tricks though, i really appreciate it!

well he sleeps from about 10:30-11pm to about 1:30-2am....then from about 2:15 to around 4am...then it just depends after that. i know, its a little crazy and i really dont get much sleep but he cant help it so what am i gonna do...nothing. so i just suck it up and never sleep lol. how does your baby sleep????

hi! i got my period at 6 weeks PP. i am bottle feeding though and i know that makes a difference. if you are breast feeding you probably won't get it that soon. hope that helps!

I am so glad I'm not alone!! LOL! We must have grumpy babies! hahaha. Mine is the same way, he'll smile all the time when he's sleeping.

I love it! I'm telling you, I've gotten so much more done since I've had it. And when he's really fussy I put him in it and it calms him down... must be the motion or something. It was only 20 bucks! $18.99 at Target, but I've seen them at Walmart as well. It's the Infantino 6 in 1 Rider. It grows with them. :)

Oh so yours loves to eat too! Mine eats 4ozs every 2-3 hours as well and sometimes even eats 6!

I'm 8 weeks postpardum, I got my period at exactly 7 weeks postpardum, I'm sure you will get yours soon, unless you are breastfeeding, then it could come back whenever it wants lol

Are you breastfeeding? My Dr. said that if you are breastfeeding then you may or may not have a period while nursing regularly. If you are bottle feeding I am afraid I do not know what is normal. I am terrified of getting pregant again quickly myself...AHHH hehe

freecycle is based all over the place... not sure about worldwide though.. so depends where you are..

i just read your post, you have so many hormones running through your body right now, and after you have her you will still be on an emotional rollercoaster, but i promise the first time you see her it will be amazing!! you will be so happy! but after i had my son there were a few days where i had my breakdowns and crying spells..but it will pass and its normal! i wish you all the best in the up comming labor

I felt exactly the same lastnight i cried my eyes out to my partner and told him i feel alone. Today i'm a little better but just seen my doc and he wont induce me till the 10th or 12th and my baby is really high and doesn't even look like coming out, Try and be happy you have a date soon to see your baby. Your emotions are just playing with you i'm sure you will be alright tomorrow.... Good luck
