Hey, nothing here yet!

Monday, 25 Feb

Hi! Welcome to my 5 pregnancy!Wow i cant believe i `m pregnant again. Its really hard for me to accept it this time around as this wasnt a planned pregnancy. I mean who in their right mind would want 5 kids. But oh well here i am and i plan on having this baby. X

11 weeks and 1 day. I went to the clinic for my check up today. What a total waste of time. The nurse was useless. She never did the proper tests like my blood pressure or my urine. She didnt ask me how i `m doing. She didnt even checked my weight. All the did was give me folic acid told me to take 1 a week and come back in 2 months time! Wish i had money for a private dr!!

A couple of hours from week 16. Wow! Cant believe it. I made peace with this pregnancy and looking forward to the rest of it. Although heartburn is killing me lately. Still dont have much energy but i hope it will change soon. The thought of having another baby kinda scares me. Not one of my kids were good newborns. I pretty much lived in a daze for the 1st 9 weeks. And i guess this one wont b any different. But i can hope cant i? If things work out i `m going for a scan this week. But maybe i must wait 2 more weeks so i can find out the sex of my baby. I `m sure its a boy, but u never know. I dont know how i `m gonna cope with another child. The older 2 boys r in their pre-teens and becoming extremely difficult to live with. The younger 2 is still so small! I still c my daughter as a baby even if she `s almost 2. And oh boy the terrible twos has come early. Way to early. On the brighter side of things my mom had 6 kids in 8 years. And if she could cope, so can i! :)

How`s my pregnancy doing?

How`s my pregnancy doing?

If you feel like something is amiss I would definatly go get checked out. Better to be safe than sorry especially if you have had placenta abruption before. ----- Last spring we added on 2 bedrooms and remodeled the kitchen and made our old room into the dining room, we had to redo a wall in the living room to fill in where there used to be a bar and put in wood flooring through out the house minus the bedrooms. We still have a small house by everyone elses opinion but we are happy to be able to stay in the house that we brought our first baby home to and soon to be our second. Plus now that we have put so much heart and sweat into it, it's like a part of our family. We may have to move when the kids get to be teenagers as one of the 3 bedrooms is small like a larger closet and currently being used as my DH office. I do however hate the spiders that we get. We have Hobo's which are like a brown recluse. The bite is narcotic so when you get bit your skin keeps dying and it takes years to heal and you get left with a huge scar. It freaks me out to have kids around when I know about them but every house in our city is said to have them and I have never heard of a child getting bit. ------ Are you bleeding alot like a period and is it bright red? If so I might go in right away. These are what we are told to look out for as red flags. Not to freak you out but I would hate for anything to go wrong. And are you far from the hospital? Hope your bags are packed cuz it sure sounds like your baby is making their personal apperance soon.

It's only 3pm here. Funny. I am glad it worked out for you then. Hope your wee one arrives tomorrow. Our house is getting closer to done then I will be more ready for mine to come. Leave it to a baby to get a man motivated. I wish I could dig up some motivation. My nesting urge has disappeared. I am hoping that once we are within a couple days that it will kick in again. We have a lot of cleaning to do.

Wow I can't believe it could be happening already! Kinda funny that you wanted your baby to wait but they don't really care what we want. They come when they are ready. I feel like I am gonna burst. If she gets much bigger I think I might. Plus, I have made it this far with out getting new strechmarks and would really like to keep it that way. Selfish I know but who likes these things? No one I know of. Well, my son had his immunizations this morning and we went for lunch then the park so I am pooped and gonna lay down a while. I hope all goes well and that your labor is easy. (Especially since you don't get pain meds!) Hope to hear from you soon with good news.

How nice you noticed I was away. There was a wedding on saturday that I was called in to do the sisters of the grooms hair and the wedding lasted till late. I was exhausted. From 7am till 11:30pm I was going and going. And Sunday we worked on the house, went to church, went to another baby shower and got home around 11pm yet again. So busy weekend. Today is our labor day so DH is home trying to get more done on the house. DS is driving me nuts today. I am sure I am overly tired and cranky but geez, kid!

Ok so I had to google map it to be sure but she is from Ghana. So apparently not South Africa but rather just Africa. Everyone kept saying she was from SA but as I see it, that is not so. It was interesting to hear what she had to say about living there though. She loved to shop, chocolate was a new thing for her, she was terrified of dogs and was a very sweet and genuine girl. She was here for 3 months staying with friends that she knew when her family had visited years ago when she was a child. She is only 19. But she was a very sharp dresser and smart as a whip. It was interesting to find out that alot of what we call a 'developing nation' or '3rd world country' actually looks alot like our cities. They have stores and cars and all the modern conveiniences we do. National geographic and those sad commercials that have you sponser children would have you think that the entire county is still small villages with shacks made of cardboard but that is just not so. There is still alot that needs to happen in the way of medical care and development but it is not all as the tv protrays it.

Oh I can't even imagine how hard it must be. I guess we're all feeling the hardship now that we're so close to the end. Soon enough we'll be holding our little ones ;-) Hang in there.....
