My profile
Okay, here's my story. I've been meaning to update my profile for sometime. Anywho, here we go. My husband and I were together for 12 years before we married. There's nothing wrong with us, we just weren't ready. Anyway, during this time, I never became pregnant. I thought I had the curse. I'll explain. My mother (when she was alive) was a very religious and spiritual woman. I feel like she's my guardian angel. Anyway, she would always tell me that she didn't want any of her children to have babies out of wedlock. That it was a sin. Out of five children, none of us did. My three brothers did not have kids until they were married and my sister, the oldest, never married and nver had kids. So, here I am thinking it very odd that I never became pregnant with my husband, then boyfriend/fiance. I thought that maybe something was wrong with me or him. So, we married on Sept. 22, 2007 and decided we would try. So far nothing. So, I went to see my gyno on Monday, February 10th and he said before testing to see if something is wrong, we should try doing the ovulation thing for six months. He told me to count 12 to 16 days from the first day of my last period. Oh, I thought, I really was counting the days for ovulation way wrong. So, it just hapenned that the days the doc told me to count were the same week as my visit. That night, we tried and then again on Wednesday, the 13th (the most fertile day, I thought). As it turned out that was our magical day of conception after really only trying in month one. I guess my mother said okay she's married, she can have the baby now. May sound wierd, but it is what I believe. Now, we are just waiting not so patiently for our little bundle of joy. We are hoping for a girl, but we'll be thrilled with whatever God sees fit to give us. I am a little scared, but oh so happy. I can't wait to see what Greg and I have created. Congratulations to all the mothers to be out there. Please share your stories with me. It really helps to talk to women who are going through the same thing.
