5 days until i am induced!!! Soooooo excited!

I am 23 years old and i am married to my wonderful husband Sean who almost 2 years ago blessed me with the most beautiful baby boy Dylan. He is 2 in April this year. He is a little treasure who likes to try my patience at times but it is all worth it!!

In June this year Dylan is going to get the best present in his life, he is getting a baby brother or sister! Poor soul will wonder whats hit him!! So will i though!!! ha!!

I am currently 19 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I dont know what im having yet and not really sure if im going to find out! Pregnancy from about 16 weeks onwards has been great. Up until then unfortunately i sufferered from just about every early pregnancy sign there possibly can be!! Except instead of morning sickness i had all day sickness!!

OK, so i dont know if these things work but i am trying all the wee tests online to see if it can tell me if im having a boy or girl! If any of you guys out there know of any good sites let me know!

Thinks are feeling better today! I am actually feeling quite excited about this baby coming. Its good to feel like this as up until now i have just been feeling anxious! Oh and as im writing this the baby is moving away and kicking me!! Nice feeling!

just to let you know i just lost my plug - completely - no if's or but's about this one. I'm still contracting - been up all night in fact but they're still no closer than 10 minutes apart!! Hoping the fact that I have had a show will speed things up a bit now!

couldn't get comfortable so back up - it's quarter to 1! Pain killers didn't help at all so i'm guessing it's the real thing just now. Also, think they are timing about 8 minutes apart but i could be wrong. Going to start timing them properly again. keep your fingers crossed xxx

CALISHELLS - Monday, 2 June
hey there! I was induced with my last son and it wasn't bad. I went in to the hospital around 8AM. They drew my blood; set up IVs and started me on Pitiocin. They upped the Pitocin until contractons were regular. My water broke on it's own around 3PM. I got the epidural then and I delivered at almost 8PM that night...so almost 12hrs from start to finish. Every induction is different depending on how your body reacts to Pitocin. Some women dialate and react well and others need other things to help them dialate like cervidil. I guess I just dialated well with the Pitocin. Good luck to you!! I'[m hoping to go on my own this time around

that's what i planned on doing. going to bed and watching a film and seeing how i rest. Like I said, i've got the hosptial tomorrow morning anyway so I'm not that incredibly worried if you know what I mean - if they are still coming tomorrow morning I'll ask them about it and see what they say - they might check me or something and that might spur things on - here's hoping eh!!! i've never wished for someone I didn't know to put there hands in places that I don't want them to so much in my entire life!!!!

Thanks for your messages, concern and help though, it's better cause I know your closer than most on this website!!!

really irregular - between 7 minutes and 15 minutes really. lasting about 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds.... these are the first contactions i've ever had as i didn't get braxton hicks or anything... x

i've been timing them on that contraction master - they're definitely not regular but they're still coming and that's been since about 640pm. Was woke up with pain last night but actually convinced myself that it was just because I needed the toilet!!! Now I'm not so sure. They're not sore enough to stop me doing anything but I definitely feel them.

Will keep you posted though - would be so relieved if it was the real thing but I'm just not convinced - either that or i'm trying not to get my hopes up!!!

Lol. I am patiently waiting. Sometimes i become afraid that i wont get to experience the birth or that i am just in a dream. Wen d baby born i want to immediately look at everything. The fingers, toes, everythin.. Lol if she/he is wraped up in a blanket mite unwrap just to take a peek.

definitely taking some sort of pains - they're right round my stomach and back but they're about 10minutes+ apart just now and they're lasting about a minute. So glad something is happening - just hope it doesn't go on for days and days though!!!

Well, the leaflet that I've got about induction says that they try the gel to ripen the cervix and then they break your waters for you - it's all natural from there.

They could also use the drip to bring on contractions after that too remember but I don't think they'll let you go through no progress for too long - I think if that's what happens they section you (Sorry, I may be wrong)

I hope it doesn't take that long for you though, would be really bad it have such a lousy pregnancy then a lousy labour too - your supposed to enjoy this time!!!

Never heard of that - might give it a try myself, nothing to lose and it's good for you too i suppose. I don't want to try the castor oil because i've read a few times that it makes our bowels move but it can also make the baby's move while still in the womb and that's not good really. So I'd rather not try it. I actually did have a look for it in tescos yesterday and they don't even sell it!!!!

You just need to go on tuesday and see what they say I suppose. hopefully you'll get some good news, for your sake! Just think though, you will be in labour by saturday 7th June - I have to wait until 12th June - swap you?!?!?!

I want to move our bedroom about so that's the only thing I really want to do but can't really do it all on my own - will have to get Ian to help me when he comes home and I've to get it done before Wednesday (Ian think's that's the day!)

Just try rest - I know that's easier said than done though, I hate sitting about doing nothing. I got a whole big lecture of my cousin today that I should be resting and taking it easy instead of going up and down stairs hanging out washing and how i shouldn't be doing anything until Ian's home and stuff like that - you should have heard this and she's only 13!!

I'm ok today - been a bit tired this afternoon but actually managed to get some decent sleep last night - from about 11pm till about 4am - couldn't tell you the last time that happened! So got up today feeling great! But like you, think I've done too much and now I'm exhausted!!! We had some lovely weather this morning so mananged to get a washing dried outside but it's been raining here for a wee while also. Think it kinda needed to rain cos it's really humid (or is that just me).

Yeah, due date tomorrow - bit bummed to be reaching it but that's life eh. Been feeling very heavy today and been taking the odd crampy pain in the stomach and the odd pain in my back - just hoping that it's something working anyway!!!

What is evening primrose oil supposed to do? I've heard of castor oil but I don't think I'm going to try that - heard it can affect the baby too so don't want to take the chance.

This week I've got the hospital tomorrow morning which will take up most of the morning (to check my blood and blood pressure profile again after last week) then I've got the midwife on Thursday - that's all I've got planned just now.

It is not a craving i have but we make some thing called chow with a sour fruit, salt and pepper. I just left out the pepper.
I have been very gud (alhamdulillah) praise be to God. Very slow with the house work but it is better now. Im just amazed that we can actually make a baby who wil be born alive insha Allah (God willing) and have a mind of its own. Who we already love so much and will love even more after he/she is born. Lol i cant wait 4 the birth just to meet the baby and inspect him/her all over. It seems like a miracle to me. Did you ever experience this awe and amazement or am i sounding silly?

I'm watching Britains got Talent too - who do you think will win it??

You probably have just done too much - you get on with a load of things then end up just dieing on the couch for the night - so draining especially in this heat.

I'm ok - feeling fine in my self - but completely shattered! Someone decided that they were going to use the car park across the road from us as a night club - so was up from about 2am till about 430am then was up again at 6am! I'm hoping that this is all just the start of it - is that not what they say too that you get really restless!! Here's hoping! Had a bit of a show today I think too - a tiny amount of heavy discharge which was really dark in colour but who knows - your body can play tricks on you at this point!!!

We went to the party last night and danced and danced - ended up having to leave because I was soooo hot! Was only about 20 minutes before the end though so done well!

Never really done much today although we were out of the house all day. We went up to my mums because Ian was fixing my step-dad's car (he's a mechanic) then went in the town and for something to eat then for shoping - got home at half five and so I'm shattered now. Really struggling.
