5 days until i am induced!!! Soooooo excited!

I am 23 years old and i am married to my wonderful husband Sean who almost 2 years ago blessed me with the most beautiful baby boy Dylan. He is 2 in April this year. He is a little treasure who likes to try my patience at times but it is all worth it!!
In June this year Dylan is going to get the best present in his life, he is getting a baby brother or sister! Poor soul will wonder whats hit him!! So will i though!!! ha!!
I am currently 19 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I dont know what im having yet and not really sure if im going to find out! Pregnancy from about 16 weeks onwards has been great. Up until then unfortunately i sufferered from just about every early pregnancy sign there possibly can be!! Except instead of morning sickness i had all day sickness!!
OK, so i dont know if these things work but i am trying all the wee tests online to see if it can tell me if im having a boy or girl! If any of you guys out there know of any good sites let me know!

Thinks are feeling better today! I am actually feeling quite excited about this baby coming. Its good to feel like this as up until now i have just been feeling anxious! Oh and as im writing this the baby is moving away and kicking me!! Nice feeling!

Try this site it talks about eatting pineapple, mango, and papya. I've also heard kiwi helps but the most effective is Fresh Pineapple. Good luck hope this helps

It definitely is hard work. If someone had told me that being pregnant was so physically exhasting I would have probably laughed at them. Everything just now is an effort and the best of it is we are going out to a birthday party tonight - well, we're just going to show face for a while then come home, to be polite. I can so see it far enough!
I lost my sex drive ages ago to be honest which was fine with the other half because, as I said, he think's it's wrong!!
Yeah, exactly - practice what you preach!!! I'm convinced it's a day like today that it'll start - the day when you don't think you have the energy to see it through!
But it's the weekend tomorrow and I'm a bit better off than you - I don't have any kids - so hopefully a wee long lie and I'll be fine! HA!

SEX??? Other half just won't entertain the idea! Even my mum was trying to talk him round to it last night in a funny kinda way!!!
I'm ok today actually - just absoluteley shattered - hardly slept at all last night. Baby was bearing down really low and kept me in pain most of the night. I'm guessing it's a day like this when it will happen - you know, the day i have no energy to deal with it!!

I was so mad to be honest with you - to turn round and say my blood pressure was that high and this and that and what ever else and then to blame it on something as simple as using the wrong size of cuff!!! I really was mad because all they done was make me more anxious!!! I've to go back to day care on monday for another profile and I'm hoping that they actually do a sweep then but if not, they definitely will on Thursday to try and start things off.
I'm hoping something is going to start on it's own though - the baby is fully engaged according to what they said today so hoping it doesn't wait until 12th June cos that seems like forever away!!!
Don't be silly - we're all in the same position so we all feel and are going through the same. I haven't had any show yet but I think I have been losing my plug for a wee while - I've been having a discharge that is like clear jelly and smells funny (sorry if too much information)

well, I must have been feeling sorry for you because I have been feeling like crap all day!! had sickness and dihorrea all of this morning then when i went to my appointment my blood pressure was 170/100 - so they sent me out to day care! The midwife in the health centre was saying how they would probably keep me in and induce me and i'd probably have the baby tomorrow and all that sort of stuff but when i got there my average blood pressure for 1 hour is 116/71 - PERFECTLY NORMAL!! I asked what would cause such a difference in such a short period of time and was told that it was probably the wrong cuff that they used to take the blood pressure in the first place!!! Stupid mistake to make in my opinion but what do I know.
Other than that everything went fine - baby is fully engaged now and i'm just waiting for something to happen. They booked me in for my induction day - 12th June - seems ages away!!! I wasn't checked internally or anything but they said they might do that on Monday as I've to go back for a blood and blood pressure profile.
The other thing that I've heard to try is fresh pinapple but you've got to eat loads and loads of it. I've also been drinking rasberry leaf tea because it's supposed to help you heal too.
So you've only got another week left really - I hope you go on your own before that though save you having to wait!
You feeling a bit better after your appointment? At least they look as though they are doing something now!

I haven't even thought about the wedding again to be honest - luckily we hadn't paid a lot out on it so we didn't lose much.
It's good to be able to chat to someone a bit closer to home than across the atlantic I must admit - thanks for getting in touch!
I'm hoping sooner rather than later - like everyone else at this stage, I'm just getting impatient and the thought of having to wait until mid-June is destroying me!!
I'm just out a bath right enough and feeling a bit crampy so I'll keep a wee eye on that. Knowing my luck, I'll go to bed tonight and it'll go away!!! Going to stay a bit active for a couple of hours - got a couple of things to do so hopefully that will help a bit. Had a conversation with baby and just said instead of poking your wee bum out my stomach why don't you just poke your wee head out!! Hoping it listened!!!
So you go to doctor's tomorrow?? I've got mid-wife tomorrow afternoon too.

I was told I was to go to a hospital with doctors and consultants - therefore I had no choice but to go to Paisley. The hospital in greenock is a community midwife lead unit so no doc's or consultants. Not really fussed about that to be honest - so long as it's done properly if you know what I mean!!
Never heard of Grant Management to be honest - I work in Hillington which is part of glasgow (just beside Braehead and makro if you know where that is) but I finished on friday for maternity leave.
I'm not married but we are engaged. We were due to fly out to Barbados on 1st July and we were getting married out there but the baby decided to put a stop to that!
Only home remedy I've tried is the rasberry leaf tea and walking - more so up and down the stairs in the house. Doesn't seem to be doing anything because I haven't even felt a false contraction never mind a real one!!! Feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever!! The first day of my last period was 41weeks + 4days ago!!!

I'm closer to you than glasgow - I live in Port Glasgow - you heard of it?? If you drive up the coast road from Ayr, past Largs you find it!
So you go tomorrow to find out if you've made any progress then? It's not as if they baby is in a unhealthy position if you were to deliver now - if you were to go into labour naturally they wouldn't stop it so what's the difference??
Have you tried any of the natural remedy's to bring labour on??

I just don't think they're very forthcoming with information on how your body is doing to be honest! My mum was really suprised last week when i mentioned that I hadn't had an internal - EVER! She said when she was pregnant with me she got an internal at every visit! Now it's just a case of "blood pressures fine, urine's fine - any sweeling??!!" I mean really, what does that tell them?? Now i have to decide if i want to wait until I'm 10 days overdue or 12 before they induce me and everything they've gave me to read tells me that being induced increases the chances of needing stronger pain killers and also increases the chances of being sectioned. So to avoid that why don't they do the stretch and sweeps before hand?!? Sorry, i'm ranting now!!! I read through the message boards every day and just can't believe how many people get induced at 38 weeks over in America - our doctors would laugh at us if we were to ask that!!!
Other than that though, I'm fine - had a really easy pregnancy and no complaints - had one scare with pre-eclampsia though but it turned out to be nothing. How come you feel so bad?? Have they told you what's wrong?? Where about are you from??

oh haha that's classic... and so typical. Last week Saturday night I had worse pains and even phoned the hospital. They said I should go in and woe is me, I ended up falling asleep at home ANYWAY and when I woke up the pains had all gone. So I would have gotten there too - and had them stop ;) I just wish there was a set time as to how long you need to wait after you lose the plug :P

Those are Braxton Hicks contractions! I get them all the time and some are very uncomfortable. Last weekend I started getting them every 2 - 3 minutes. I called my dr and they told me to drink a TON of water for the next hour and see if they go away. They did...I guess I was just a tad dehydrated! Good luck to you!

OMG, Rozzipozzi, my bump dropped too:) I've been feeling like my cycle is about to come on,and I had a Hicks contraction that lasted alot longer then normal this morning. Plus my who-ha has been very sore.

Hi!
I get terrible leg well calf cramps in the middle of the night! I have to get out of bed half asleep to walk about to get rid of it!
Also the other day I got cramp in my hand for the first time!
Had cramp in my legs with my previous pregnancies.......so painful at times!
