5 days until i am induced!!! Soooooo excited!

I just went on and got Madame Zariska's Reading

The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.

After a labor lasting approximately 13 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and will be 18 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and some blond hair.

I am 23 years old and i am married to my wonderful husband Sean who almost 2 years ago blessed me with the most beautiful baby boy Dylan. He is 2 in April this year. He is a little treasure who likes to try my patience at times but it is all worth it!!

In June this year Dylan is going to get the best present in his life, he is getting a baby brother or sister! Poor soul will wonder whats hit him!! So will i though!!! ha!!

I am currently 19 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I dont know what im having yet and not really sure if im going to find out! Pregnancy from about 16 weeks onwards has been great. Up until then unfortunately i sufferered from just about every early pregnancy sign there possibly can be!! Except instead of morning sickness i had all day sickness!!

pregnancy

OK, so i dont know if these things work but i am trying all the wee tests online to see if it can tell me if im having a boy or girl! If any of you guys out there know of any good sites let me know!

Check out the developement of the baby using the site below, its fascinating to see the change each week!

YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE :)
I FIND MYSELF COMING HOME AND JUST STANDING THERE LOOKING AROUND WONDERING WHAT MY HUSBAND HAS DONE ALL DAY. WHY IS THE LIVING ROOM UPSIDE DOWN? THE LIST GOES ON AND ON...I ACTUALLY CAUGHT MYSELF LAST NIGHT SAYING 'PLEASE JUST PUT A BULLET IN MY HEAD AND LET'S CALL IT A DAY'...I FELT AWFUL AFTERWARDS BUT IT IS SO STRESSFUL NOT TO BE ABLE TO DO THINGS THE WAY YOU USED AND LIKE.
I LOVE MY LITTLE BOY BUT I SURE CAN NOT WAIT TO GET MY LIFE BACK!
HANG IN THERE...ONLY A FEW MORE MONTHS...

mommakass - Thursday, 20 Mar

Hi there read your post in week 28 I have a friend she was 4 weeks under and they said her baby was on the small side Im 2 weeks on the small side I find out Thursday if his caught up ,anyway she ended up having a 8 pound 4 baby girl she had a little bump too ! my friend thinks because weve had 3 pregnancys each our uterus is alot lower and that the babys hides alot of himself herself .
Wish you all the best.

mommakass - Monday, 17 Mar
I read your post and I wanted to let you know that at my last visit on monday I had only gained 7lbs so far and I was only measuring at 25.5 cm's which is small too.. I go back to see my midwife tomorrow and will schedule a scan if I havent grown enough..Its scary but hopefully they will tell us both that our babies are healthy little buggers :)

schessmom - Monday, 17 Mar
You know, I go to the dr on wednesday but I have barley gained 10lbs on a good day! I saw a nutritionist and she said I was way to small.... Everything I read says I am to small but, the dr hasnt said anything yet... I am 5'1' tall and started at like 128lbs and now am about 138-139... So, I don't know. It freaks me out but, the baby seems fine. When I had my u/s in january the baby was just fine in weight. So, try not to worry. Thats what I am trying to do. Best wishes! Let me know what they say!

pamallhoney - Monday, 17 Mar
I'll be praying for you. I remember with my first child that the Dr. said the same thing. I was 19 and single on my own with the pregnancy and freaked out. But by the next month when I went back the Dr. wasn't worried. I ended up having a 7lb. 5.6oz. healthy baby boy. Talk about a scare and they didn't even give me an U/S. I will be praying for you, good thing they are looking into this right away. Let me know how it goes for you.

rabekah - Monday, 3 Mar
Thanks for the advice on the mattress. That was my same exact feeling about it, just my sister in law pushing to buy a new one. I cleaned off the dust (it was in our basement storage) and put it in the crib allready. That's what I have to say to my sis-in law. Ha Ha Ha! Hope your feeling well, I glanced over your page and it seems your waiting to find out if the baby is a boy/girl! You have strong will power! Good for you.

ourlovetoken - Friday, 22 Feb
I am kinda glad to hear that...I know it's thought but hang in there for just 3 more months...You'll be happy you did :)
My drs always told me that excercise was a great help for people with depression (I never listen or excersiced...I was too depressed to do so)If you have the energy and drive for it It might help.
Don't stress or put to much pressure on yourself...You are making the right decision by looking out for your baby...Kudos to you :)

ourlovetoken - Friday, 22 Feb
Ohh. I am so sorry to hear that.
I also been thinking about postpart depression and are terrified about going back to all that + my eating disorder.
I would suggest skipping the breast feeding so you could get back on it(just a thought). They say hormomes are all messed up after having the baby(same thing as when you first get pregnant)so If I was you that is something I would consider about :)
I so wish you the best and hope none of it comes back into your life. I been and still are walking down that path and it's not fun for anyone. I'll be honest to say that I am finding myself cought in the middle meaning that Yes, I would like to start taking them asap but at the same time even thou is not 100% proven I would hate it if my baby came out with some sort of issue..Arrrrrrrrrr! What exactly has your dr. said about this whole issue?

ourlovetoken - Thursday, 21 Feb
I had a hard time getting off of it but some how I managed to even thou I was a crazy, lunatic mess for the first months (Of course I never noticed any of it until my husband asked me If I was still taking it to what I said no and to what he said...Oh, no wonder)Anyways, I read it can take up to 6 weeks for your body to get rid of the medication so if you think about it I may have more chances of having baby issues than you are since I still had the meds in my system when I became pregnant (oh my gosh...never thought of that 'til now :D)...LOL!
Here is an article link: Prozac is one of the newer antidepressant drugs known as SSRIs. These drugs are not considered suitable for use in pregnancy or while trying to conceive, as there is insufficient experience of them being used in pregnant women to be sure of their safety.

There is, however, no evidence that they are associated with congenital abnormalities.

The time when drugs are most likely to affect the development of the foetus is from the third to the 11th week of pregnancy. The time it takes for the body to completely eliminate a drug varies, and for Prozac it may take up to six weeks.

Of the SSRI anti-depressants, Prozac is one that should definitely be avoided during pregnancy (citalopram is another).

Possible side-effects of this class of drugs on the baby include jitteriness, irritability, and drowsiness.

Insufficient evidence is available to make an assessment of long-term effects, but Prozac can also have similar effects during breastfeeding.

If after considering your options you and your GP feel that you do need to take an anti-depressant, there are some in the same group that are considered preferable. If an anti-depressant is used, it should be used in the lowest effective dose, for the shortest time, and that when it is to be stopped an individual should be weaned off it gradually.

ourlovetoken - Thursday, 21 Feb
I would think so. Then again, Either way I wouldn't take it now, later on,at the 3rd trimester or right after delivery (If breastfeeding of course)
Are you in the need to take it?...

2ndTimeMom - Thursday, 21 Feb
As far as I have read or heard, the only antidepressant safe when your pregnant is zoloft. Not sure if the spelling is right. I did take this with my son, however, I just read taking anti-deppresants in the third trimester can cause baby to go through withdrawals. Look it up on the internet there is lots of info on it. Best of luck!

Hi, my name is joanie i'm 23 my fiance is 25 and we are on our second child as well. Our son is going to be 3 march 18, and boy is he a handfull. lol....I also get sonograms done all of the time. I have epilepsy and due to my meds have to be closly monitered. Everything has been great so far. Thank God! The only probs i had w/ my son was trying to keep him in and avoiding preterm labor. This little one is going to be a surprise. It's fun waiting, it actually makes you look forward to labor. Well i just wanted to say hi, cause it's nice to see someone on this site that you have so much in common with. One of the girls on here organized a chat for thursdays @ 7:30 for the girls in the weeks we're in, i'm not sure if it's still going on but figured i'd tell ya anyways. I'm gonna check it out tonight for the first time. I hoping it will be good, my fiance's hours got changed so he doesn't get home until late. I get bored

teenMOMMIE - Thursday, 21 Feb
read your post. my doctor told me prozac is the only one that isnt excreted in breastmilk and doesnt get to the baby at all. so its pretty safe :]

2ndTimeMom - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Hey,
I have four year old so I don't know if you would consider that a toddler still but yes!He is driving me crazy. It is making me so nervous to have more than one child now!

Cherryb0m - Wednesday, 20 Feb
HI! This is my first baby so I don't know anything about post partum depression, but I have suffered from depression since high school. I have been on meds for a while and have been on anti depressants through this whole pregnancy. The Dr. was worried that if i stopped taking my meds I would fall into depression again and that can cause harm to the baby (low birth weight, ect.). My psychiatrist agreed. I'm doing great and the baby is perfect. I was really worried that the meds whould hurt my baby. If you Dr. wants to start you on meds at 30 weeks, or sooner I would go for it, as it can take a month or so for them to 'kick' in. There are many kinds of antidepressants out there too. I don't know if this helps or not. Hope you are feeling great!

tina341 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
hi I just wanted to let you know that my DR. wanted to put me on anti depressants at week 20 I am 24 weeks now. I didnt go on them. There are withdrawl possibilities and more. I would look up the meds online or make sure your Dr. had warned you about side effects.

pregnantwithmythird08 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Yes I have a 14 month old right now. She will be 18 months when this baby is born. But when I had her my son was 9 yrs old. So I def. felt like I was starting all over!

mom2aboy - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Thank you so much for your comment. It just helps so much to hear that I'm definitely not the only one out there that experiences this stuff. I went to the doc and everything seems fine. Baby Kason is moving and doing fine. My placenta is lying low close to my cervix and the doc thinks it just irritated my cervix and caused slight bleeding. I havn't had any in a while now so hopefully it's over. I knew it wasn't sex because my hubby works out of town and I hadn't seen him in a couple of weeks! HA! Thanks for your concern! I greatly appreciate it!! It's nice to have friends on this site!
